So let's assume that A-life comes back in full force. great, game will be good no?
i hope so. ive been wandering around the map for a while and ive come across a worry that i have the same in anomaly versus misery
in anomaly the whole map basically relies on A-life to create encounters, while in Misery, which is basically cop on steroids, there are a lot of places that have set spawning enemies. things that make sense to be there, things like certain mutants always being in certain places that give the location its identity. think the iron forest with its mutant gangs. or the mercenary camp at zaton. or labs that need a specific set of enemies to make it really terrifying
In anomaly those same places can feel empty or too random and kinda lost their identity, its missing curated fights, big fights
now in Stalker 2, the curated fights mostly come from Story missions that populate certain poi's and thats cool, but itll hurt the freeroam aspect. because even though there are definitely some static enemy placements around, i feel they are far too little and some places i feel just shouldnt be empty even without a mission and without A-life
i literally walked up to the CNPP reactor, and that whole massive area had one small 6v6 spawn from some militia groups, and 0 mutant spawns, there was barely radiation and barely any anomalies. now im not sure how the story missions there change things, i havent reached that part in the story yet, but im starting to worry how much GSC has populated the map themselves before letting a-life on it and before missions are started
anyone else share the same worry?

pyruvate first enters enzyme 1 (pyruvate dehydrogenase) where it is decarboxylated and oxidized, and TPP is added on. this becomes hydroxyethyl TPP which enters enzyme 2 (dihydrolipoyl transacetylase) where we add on an lipoic acid, transferring the hydroxyethyl group from TPP to LA, giving us acetyllipoamide + TPP. then we add on coenzyme A, which reacts with the acetyllipoamide to give acetyl CoA which is sent to the citric acid cycle and leaves us with a reduced lipoamide. the reduced lipoamide has to be regenerated into lipoic acid so it gets sent to enzyme 3 (dihydrolipoyl dehydrogenase) where it is oxidized and FAD gets reduced, which is then oxidized and NAD+ is reduced.
this process is activated by low bs/e, so AMP/ADP, and it is inhibited by high bs/e so ATP, NADH, and acetyl CoA. also it's irreversible.

If the A1 mini is so great, and better than a lot of printers, why is it so cheap? I'm a bit skeptical of it. My prusa mk4 was around $800, and people say there's not much difference between them other than the print size, but there's such a huge price difference, with the A1 mini being $230. Thanks yall

2024.11.24 22:50 spicespiegel I Replayed Hades 1 after Hades II and I have so many thoughts
I hadn't played H1 in a year and also being consumed by H2 since day one, I went back to play H1 this week. First and foremost THE ART in H2 is such a step up. This makes me appreciate the fluid animation, gorgeous backgrounds and pretty visual effects so much more in H2. Which is funny when H1 came out I also called it a gorgeous game but supergiant wizards did such an amazing job man. Then the gameplay is also so different. I actually struggled a lot because I got so used to the sprint system and honestly I still need to get fully comfortable with the dashes again. Zag man also walks so darn slow 😭. Playing H2 I always thought that the boons in H1 were better but honestly I don't think so. I'd much rather say that it's tie. There are some incredible ones and some boring ones in both games. However I do prefer God Calls over the hexes and infusions. The Cast mechanics in H2 are better. In H1 all of the cast boons are just some form of damage dealing thing, while in H2 the casts do so many other things too - slowing down enemies, restoring magik, deflecting, inflicting curses on top of dealing damage in different ways. But in H1 i like how casts are incorporated in the weapon's aspects more than H2. Speaking of weapons. Holy moly the weapons in H1 is a banger after banger. The aspects also make the gameplay so different. I think the only weapons in H2 with 3 for 3 aspects are Twin blades and Xinth. Some aspects in H2 make them feel uninspired compared to H1 e.g. hit enemies this many times and you get a boost for a short while. Like that's so boring. I really really hope SG changes some of these aspects and give those power ups to hammers (though i think H2 hammers are on par with H1). Finally, it's also interesting how H1 is not scared of you being overpowered. I mean Athena is broken af and has two boons that give you back DD. Phalanx shot in H2 deals like 20 dmg when in H1 it deals massive damage. The impervious god calls, those magnificent duos and everything. While in H2 there's always a but. You get x BUTTTT it costs double the magic. You get X BUTTTT you give some other boon away. I wish that wasn't the cast. Ok sike I have one more thing to say. Styx is by far the worst location in these two games. My golly do I hate those enemies, the rng, the tight spaces, the traps. It's just not fun. Anyways that's it ok bye.
