2024.11.24 22:51 dark1859 some actual advice for the community, if you're not having fun, finish out your match to adjust your MM band and then either take a break or go to PVE.
Bit of a response to another post (not sure if i can name them under rule 2 but it's genuinely terrible advice).
If you're not having fun to the point you feel like Dcing, just finish out the match, take it chill if you must by just capping objective's or other less pvp engaged work, and then at the end of the match leave your lobby and go to either pve or find another game to play
I say this because of how matchmaking is in the game. It's basically marshmallows held together by toothpicks holding up a tank assembly line.
it (From my observations) tries to put you around the same level of your opponents but the "levels" are pretty broad so you can get a wide variety of matches.... by dcing the incomplete match does not move you up or down at all, so if you are punching above weight so to speak (i.e. you're being basically kited and merked every hit) you're not improving your matchmaking *and* if you happen to get a "win" you just moved yourself up even further making it less enjoyable more than likely as now you've just solidified yourself in a higher skill bracket than you otherwise should be in.
further it is deeply unfair to your team, even if they are god's perfect idiots who make compelling arguments for a greifing ban despite just being genuinely stupid. I know it's a hard concept for some, but if YOU don't want to play with a braindead bot that even the genuine worst players who have sub .01kdr can deal with, your allies don't want to lose a warm body to one either.
I will say also, i do understand the occasional ragequit, it happens to basically everyone, and i wont judge for the occasional early exit, it happens like the occasional internet dc or just those days where your latency is for some reason the equivalent of being on mars... but please, don't take the other poster's advice, finish out your matches and then take your irl or pve break so hopefully when you come back you'll have far better pvp matchmaking.

I've hit my breaking point. i hit it a while ago but i totally snapped. i have a surgery that will make my entire life so much easier. its needed but not an emergency so i've been on the wait list for a couple months and probably still will be until march.
Anyway my soon to be ex-husband has known about this surgery since like the first couple weeks of THIS year. i begged him to get snipped, my body cant handle birth control anymore and he refuses to wear condoms so that was the compromise and he just never did it. well 2 months ago my already psychotic period was late and i was pissed. pregnancy test was positive. it was the first time we had had sex in months but my husband was for sure he never "finished" that night and i must have been cheating on him. he went into this huge pissed off rage and wanted paternity tests for all our kids and i better call their "real dads" to come take care of them. he said this to our kids faces.
we left. i went to my dr and asked for her to do a blood test to see the paternity of the baby and then to give me abortion pills because i couldn't do this again. i almost died during my last birth. after i took the pills and confirmed i wasn't pregnant anymore i filed for divorce and when all the paternity tests came back that he is in fact their dad, he started being so sweet and saying he was sorry for how he acted and how i know how he questioned his daughters paternity(yeah he has now done this with ALL of his kids) and how i shouldn't take it so hard. i handed him the divorce papers, told him i had an abortion and he can stay the hell away from me and the kids.
he's been texting me non stop since. I'm a bitch. how could i kill his baby, how dare i get his hopes up and then pull this shit. how now he has to tell his parents that I'm not pregnant when he already told them i was. then asked who is going to take care of me after my surgery cuz no one will want to watch the kids and take care of me because no one gives a fuck about me, so i told him all communication will be through my emails and blocked him.

 | Both of my Day 6 euploid embryos (BB & BC) failed to implant, betas were 0. The embryos both thawed for 4 hours before transfer but remained collapsed. We started IVF for male factor but now my doctor suspects egg quality issues, since I only made five Day 6 blasts and two of those were euploid (I’m 39 years old). The embryologist left the following notes: “sticky cytoplasm, giant egg in cohort”. Do these embryos look that bad? How does sticky cytoplasm effect embryonic growth? My doctor gave us an 85% success rate before our first medicated transfer; all my labs were good and we did an ERA beforehand. Hey everyone, I'll try and get into this quick, also thanks for reading.
So I need some advice, on how to really like... Talk to other human beings because I have like no clue how to do so and I want to get better.
For pretty much my entire life I've been very shy, reserved, and quiet. I remember my mother told me about how in kindergarten I would just hide under the tables and not speak to the other kids, weird example but It's the first thing that came to mind.
Anyway, recently, I've been wanting to like make actual friends and possibly a girlfriend, as I've been crushing pretty hard on a few girls I like in school. The problem is, I have literally zero idea how to talk to or meet people. Like I get really anxious when encountering a social situation, when it's my turn to speak my mind usually goes completely blank and I kinda freeze up. I also overthink a lot of things I do and say.
Anyway, again, thanks for reading my post, and any advice would be greatly appreciated. :)

In case anyone in this forum lives in the vicinity: Do you know of any place for vintage computers in Tempe-Scottsdale-East Phoenix? I've had one or two people tell me there's a place somewhere in Tempe, but neither can remember the name of it.
