2024.11.24 23:50 gotlactose Strange Water Meter Use - Tested Many Theories, Had Leak Detection Come Already
I have a Flume sensor attached to my 1 inch water main. I noticed about 1-2 times an hour, Flume would record 0.07 gallon use within a minute (limitation of the app, can't describe exactly how long beyond shorter than a minute). I found a leak on an irrigation pipe and had it fixed, then the leak happened 3-4 times an hour. I had a licensed plumber who specializes in leak detection come out. He had some sort of acoustic tool he used to touch visible pipes to listen for leaks and he couldn't find anything. He did a pressure gauge test and after 10-15 minutes the pressure didn't drop after the water main was turned off. We did this test twice and the pressure never dropped. Oddly, he noticed the pressure bounce slightly up and down.
The strangest thing is that after a hot shower, the mysterious 0.07 gallon use 3-4 times an hour would stop for about 60-90 minutes after the shower, then restart with the same frequency. I've done the toilet dye test, I've turned off valves, I've had the water heater checked out by the plumber. I've turned off the Grundfos comfort recirculation pump. I've turned off the irritation valve. After all that, the mysterious 0.07 gallon use 3-4 times an hour still happens. On the water meter itself, the low flow indicator usually does not move...but if I stare at it long enough, it slightly move forward a bit. The low flow indicator has only moved forward, never back and forth. The analog meter itself also does record water use if I come back after 30-60 minutes, similar to what the Flume is reporting, i.e. 0.2-0.3 gallons per hour.
Any thoughts on what to troubleshoot next?

I am planning to pick up the medical exams on Wednesday to send them since I received an RFE from USCIS last Monday, the 18th, because my 2022 medical exams are already expired and they asked me to send it again. They are now ready. I just have to pick it up on Wednesday the 27th, but I don't know if I should mail it that same day since the next day is Thanksgiving and the next day, the 29th, is not a holiday, but maybe USCIS is not working that day. I was also waiting for Monday, December 2nd to send it by FedEx priority overnight
Do you think that USCIS works on Friday the 29th and if I send the exams on Wednesday and I send them that same day, USCIS can receive them on Friday the 29th since the previous day, Thursday the 28th, is Thanksgiving and we know that it is a holiday but the next day is not. I am talking about Friday the following day.

Hi i am 29M non smoker, non alcoholic. Has an illness anxiety disorder.
Hi I have a low grade fever (37.7 C) and I can feel that my heart is pounding. I checked my pulse rate and its between 100-125 bpm. Should I be worried? The reason why I have a fever is bec of tonsillitis. Could this be a sign that I catch a rheumatic heart disease? Thank you
