Lately I’ve been getting pretty much all of my guitar info/tips/exercises from YouTube. I’ve been able to tackle some music theory stuff because of the sheer quantity of quality content on there, but technique…not so much. Everyone’s telling you: “DO THIS FOR TEN MINUTES A DAY AND BECOME A GUITAR GOD!!!”. If you keep listening to everyone, your routine quickly becomes nine hours long. I want a teacher but I don’t want one that’s part of a big organization (mostly because it’s impossible for them to focus solely on your progress). I want someone who actually holds me accountable for not practicing, and who actually pushes me to do better. How did those of you with a private instructor find him/her? Any tips on finding an instructor of my own?

if you were broken up with, if you know you did everything in your power to make it work, that’s all you need. if you know that what you needed wasn’t unreasonable and you were still met without empathy and without regard, that’s all you need to know. you will find peace eventually.
you know who won’t find peace? the person who did that to you. there is no peace in breaking someone down. there is no peace in making someone feel unworthy. there is no peace in selfishness.
so if you feel unworthy, if you haven’t already began to understand, you will understand your worth with time. it is a gift to be on the receiving end of a break up. you will find your peace. you will move on. you deserve better.
if i could give anyone any advice, never let anyone who has discarded you without care come back into your life. they will keep repeating it. the person you are with is not an exception to this, no matter what way you try and rationalize it. i am lucky to realize this now, because i would not be able to find peace if i had let this happen to me one more time.
and to my ex, to Justin, i hope you meant it when you said you were never coming back. i am finally at peace. i hope you are able to hold that to be true unlike everything else. and if you ever want to find peace, it will start with you letting me go.

I have grown to accept that I may be trans. But something nags at me that makes me doubt it. Apologies for the admittedly dumb take, since I am trying to overcome it:
How are there so many trans people online now?
I understand we are getting a little better at accepting trans people in mainstream leftist circles. So naturally, as information, education, and acceptance increases, more people gain the knowledge and encouragement they need to realize they are trans.
However, it just seems like more than I would expect, I guess. My mind goes: Surely I can't be a part of this 1.14% of the population, when there are more common explanations such as depression, anxiety, guilt, and disgust of mainstream masculinity.
As I said, I know it's objectively a dumb argument. But I think I need help disputing it in my mind regardless. I am not smart or strong enough to summon a sufficient answer. Thank you.

Hi Everyone,
Currently I have a triple screen set up.
My main screen that I game on is - VG27AQ1A
My other two screens are older 24" monitors that have been around for ~10 years. I am currently thinking about purchasing two more VG27AQ1A Monitors to have it look seamless.
I currently run a 4070 TI, and I have an old 2070 Super in my other computer that collects dust.
My question is, can I run the 4070 TI solely on my main monitor, that I game with and have the 2070 Super power my other two monitors?
Below are my specs:
I9 13900K
TUF Gaming Z790-Plus WIFI
4070TI

 | (Forgive the cat hair…) This controller is a couple years old and certainly outside of any warranty that may or may not have existed. It doesn’t get a lot of use. At best, a couple hours once a week, but alot of times even less than that. I store it with the charger puck in the case that it came with… Is this just general wear and tear or a manufacturing defect? Terminé El alquimista hace una semana y quería escribir mis pensamientos antes de empezar a olvidar detalles. (Una de las razones por las que decidí escribir resúmenes en primer lugar fue para recordar mejor los detalles.) Así que voy a tomarme una breve pausa de mis resúmenes de El hobbit.
El alquimista no está organizado como la mayoría de los libros. No hay capítulos, sino varias escenas cortas. Por lo tanto, pienso resumirlo por completo en dos o tres textos breves. Además, nunca había planeado resumir todos los libros que estoy leyendo capítulo por capítulo, sólo los especiales o si tengo ganas.
Primera Parte
El alquimista se desarrolla en Andalucía en el siglo XVIII o XIX. Comienza con el protagonista, Santiago, en un campo con sus ovejas. La familia de Santiago quería que fuera sacerdote, pero Santiago quería algo diferente y se hizo pastor. Una noche se metió a dormir a una iglesia abandonada y soñó con un gran tesoro cerca de las pirámides de Egipto. Tenía este sueño cada vez que dormía bajo el sicomoro cercano a la iglesia y decidió pedirle a una gitana que lo interpretara. La gitana le dijo que siguiera su sueño y fuera a las pirámides para encontrar su tesoro. Santiago se sintió engañado después porque la gitana le dijo lo obvio y le pedió a cambio una décima parte del tesoro. Más tarde encontró a un anciano misterioso. Se reveló que el anciano era en realidad un rey y le dio dos piedras especiales, Urim y Tumim, que podían responder preguntas. I finished The Alchemist about a week ago and wanted to write down my thoughts before I started forgetting details. (One of the reasons I decided to write summaries in the first place was to better remember the details). So I'm going to take a short break from my summaries of The Hobbit.
The Alchemist is not organized like most books. There are no chapters, but rather several short scenes. Therefore, I plan to summarize it entirely in two or three brief texts. Also, I'd never planned to summarize all the books I'm reading chapter by chapter anyway, just the special ones or if I feel like it.
Part One
The alchemist takes place in Andalusia in the 18th or 19th century. It begins with the protagonist, Santiago, in a field with his sheep. Santiago's family wanted him to be a priest, but Santiago wanted something different and became a shepherd. One night he went to sleep at an abandoned church and dreamed of a great treasure near the pyramids of Egypt. He had this dream every time he slept under the sycamore tree near the church and decided to ask a gypsy woman to interpret it. The gypsy told him to follow his dream and go to the pyramids to find his treasure. Santiago felt cheated afterwards because the gypsy woman told him the obvious and asked for a tenth of the treasure in return. Later he encountered a mysterious old man. It was revealed that the old man was actually a king and he gave him two special stones, Urim and Thummim, that could answer questions. He knew several secrets about Santiago's life and also told him to go to the pyramids and follow his "Personal Legend." Santiago then headed to the city to sell his sheep and began his journey.

I tend to bolus when "thinking about" eating, or going out to pick up lunch, say. About 15-30min before I actually begin eating.
Doing this, i know im definitely risking going low before i start to eat.
But, doing so pays off so much for me, TOTALLY helps to help avoid sticky highs / rage bonuses, etc.
When do others bolus, in relation to starting to eat?
