My parents are in a 40 year silent treatment. They live in the same space. They just don't talk to each other only to me. Numerous people have suggested to them that they should split. They never took that advice. They just live in silence. It is crazy and I remind myself of that.
I go to the laundry room on cold evenings to read a book and get out of that atmosphere.

 | Hey guys, I still relatively new to the “beetus”, diagnosed back in June with an A1C of 14.3 and 11.7. Got it down to a 5.3 in a few months, with diet change, exercise, meformin and fast acting insulin (Humalog). I prick my fingers about 3 times a day and use a Libre 3. My doctor was so happy for me and saying it was amazing that I got my A1C so low as well as my cholesterol. I lost 53lbs. I was 292 now I’m 239. They said I could probably cut back on meds in a few months but they want to make sure I’m not “honeymooning”, whatever that means. I know non of you are my doctor but looking at my graph shouldn’t I be able to cut some of this stuff out? I’m not looking for medical advice so no need for snarky asshole comments. i reconnected with and old friend of mine a while ago and we talked about our high schools. i kept telling him funny stories and at some point it hit me - my school is literally fucking insane. i'm in my senior year rn, and here are some of the highlights of the past 4 years:
- last year they hired a literal alcoholic to teach business class. he came to school drunk every single day, you could see him buying beer every morning in the corner store near our school. he hid in the parking lot drinking, he babbled utter nonsense every lesson, even shat his pants on one occasion. the faculty realized after 3 months.
- after a hotbox incident in the bathrooms, the school installed a camera overlooking the toilet corridor. the students didn't like it, so they sent the fattest guy in our school (not even exaggerating, he was literally huge) to deal with this problem. he put on a balaclava, spray painted the cameras, took off the balaclava and left. it has taken the administration 7 FULL HOURS to find him
- last spring the students organized freestyle battles on a parking lot near an abandoned supermarket, 100 meters from the school. 300 people showed up there every single day during breaks and nobody gave a fuck
- there is a local tradition of beating "shitter records". every few months or so the male students try to fit as many people as possible in the school bathroom. the current record is 108 guys. they spend 10 minutes in there, come out, get counted by the fat guy (the same dude from the camera incident) and later the whole corridor explodes in applause if they manage to beat the record. if not, they come back and try again the next day.
- the two middle aged IT teachers are best friends and don't really give a fuck about teaching the class anything. they give out assignments and connect over lan and play games with each other. it's kinda cute actually
- i attend a logistics, administration & management learning profile and the three teachers that teach us absolutely HATE each other. one of them is a guy in his mid-20s, rich as hell, definitely overqualified for the job, the second is a guy in his late 20s, really shy and introverted and the third teacher is a middle aged woman who came back after a two year long absence recently. they keep shitting on each other, like half their lessons are spent on gossip
- the school celebrated it's 100th anniversary a couple months ago, so they put up a tent, hired a dj and hosted a party on the school grounds until 4am. getting drunk in front of your high school is a magical feeling
- the janitor is the nicest guy in the world, real stand up guy, always cheerful, but his last name is literally Mr. Small Cock in my native language

Walked 18 today in northern Ohio. 42 degrees and muddy. Buddy and I are mid to high 80’s shooters. So we did a 2 man scramble from the yellow tees. About 5200. 3 bogeys, 3 birdies, 12 pars for 72.
It was fun and a twist on a course we play a lot. But it reminds me just how hard golf is. 2 man scramble, 5200 yards and still couldn’t break par.

Context:
This situation happened 5-10 years ago, but basically, I paid for a raffle ticket at my school's raffle that won, it was $500. My mom wanted to split the raffle winnings with the rest of my family (there were 5 people in it, so each person would get $100) which I didn't agree with, but she split prize anyway. I still got $100, but I felt like I was stolen from, because I feel the money was rightfully mine. Years later, I talked to her about it, she claimed that I would've just spent it on little toys or junk because I was a kid, which I feel like is an excuse.
Questions:
Am I entitled to this money?
Should I have brought this up?

I'm going through my 3rd runthrough of Scarlet, and I'm focusing on completing a living dex. Weirdly enough, I don't know what to use the masterball on.
- I caught the ominous stake Pokemon in quick balls and dusk balls.
- I caught Koraidon in a timer ball.
- Ogrepon and the trio have all been caught in timer balls and a quick ball.
I guess I'm just wondering what you all considered worthy of masterball status in Scarlet/Violet.

2024.11.25 00:11 TheRealQG24 Am I easy to please or is The Quarry really good and really cool
I didn’t own a PS4 when Until Dawn came out, so I watched several playthroughs of the game to satiate my fascination with it.
Fast forward to the past couple weeks and I finally got around to playing first Until Dawn and The Quarry. Now Until Dawn I knew quite a lot about going into it, while The Quarry was pretty much a blind experience for the most part.
While I think Until Dawn is an iconic and unforgettable experience due to being the first of its kind and utilizing mechanics most PS4 exclusives didn’t even use much (like an emphasis on the big middle button for turning things, which is inconsequential but still a really cool idea, and the don’t move sections which combined with the villains of the game are some of my all time favorite gaming moments), The Quarry’s enormous expansion on its pathing system (important or otherwise) just makes it the significantly more impressive and cooler game to me.
And the characters! Now again, I adore Until Dawn, but that friend group really did always seem a bit odd and not like they’d actually be friends, while The Quarry’s characters just instantly clicked with me and felt like a believable group of people that got to know each other over the past summer. This was by far the biggest surprise for me, as I have a lot of nostalgia for Until Dawn and still thought it was pretty easily surpassed in many ways.
To really put this in perspective, Matt, a character who I always thought deserved better and !got killed (I let my wife make the big choices of the game to make the playthrough more fun) and while we messed up in the last chapter and got 3 other characters killed, we never bothered going back to save Matt because, well we just didn’t care enough! Meanwhile we were both on the verge of tears when !the gates opened in chapter 9 leading to Jacob’s death and didn’t hesitate to replay the last 3 chapters of the game after we beat it the first time to save him!
And yet, video after video after article after article doesn’t hesitate to claim Until Dawn surpasses The Quarry in every aspect without exception and I just can’t find it in me to agree. It’s not a matter of not liking or even not understanding peoples tastes, rather a feeling that I played different games from other people
Kind of a long winded tangent but still kinda buzzing after finishing the game and wanted to get my thoughts out on it before I hunted down the Dark Picture Anthology. Peace!

- I see that they only allow this to be done once, but I've also seen a couple people saying they might be more lenient if you make it convenient for them to move multiple wizards at once. Do you think I could get away with asking them to move two wizards to two separate accounts? Has anyone had luck with something like this?
