Has anyone tried using a mobile hotspot to play Quest outdoors? I recently got a T-Mobile mobile hotspot device and SIM card because I want to play Half-Life: Alyx in a big storage shed outside my house. Of course, I’ll bring a friend along to supervise and make sure I don’t hurt myself. The 5G signal is strong, latency stays under 50ms, and everything seems good to go. At home, I set up my Xfinity router with UPnP enabled, allowed remote connections, and forwarded the necessary ports. However, when I tried connecting to my PC through Virtual Desktop, I got the dreaded “Not on same network” warning in yellow, along with “Not reachable.” It was disappointing. Then, I connected my PC to the mobile hotspot, and of course, it worked since everything was on the same network. I also tried using the hotspot on my Tracfone-powered iPhone, and it worked too, but the latency was too high to play properly. I’ve successfully connected in places like libraries or Whole Foods before, so I’m puzzled why it’s not working with the T-Mobile hotspot. Does anyone have recommendations or similar experiences to share?

Just bought a office and I am struggling to change habits of the old front desk staff and how office had been run
Two things with the front desk that I want to change
1) they never calculated copay’s and never collected copay’s. Patients have the work done and later when the EOB’s come in they enter the check amount and let the EOB tell them how much to bill the patient and they will bill the patient via snail mail. I want them to calculate co pays before putting the patient on the schedule. If pre auth needs to be sent, send tbe pre auth before scheduling the patient, have a list of patients whom we send pre auths for
2) once co pay is calculated they need to print a treatment plan and sign the treatment plan. Once patient is aware of their responsibilities then they can be scheduled.
I am struggling with this because three patients (in four months) have said that” if I knew it was this much, I would have ne er done it” or pre auth wasn’t sent and insurance doesn’t cover it and even when appeal is sent then its denied and I have to eat the cost
I have worked only for 2 offices before buying this office. I want to know is the above protocol normal to expect from staff ? Or is there many offices that do work without patients knowing ?

So my best friend (24f) asked me (24f) last year if I would be her MOH. I obviously agreed considering we have been friends since we were 8. (Off/on but never any beef we just grew up and apart sometimes but always rekindled). Her wedding is Jan 2026 and she has already burnt bridges with 2 other people in the party and they have dropped out as well. She forgot my birthday this year.. she lives in Michigan and I live in NC for work and her brother also lives here.. couple weeks ago I was telling her how sad I’ve been recently, just the isolation from not being home (Ohio) was getting to me and one of my close coworkers had passed away. She told me that she would come down to see me asap.. which she did end up doing but she brought her dog and fiance with her and then I ended up just being a place they could stay on her way to see her brother.. which I guess is fine I just thought when she said she was coming down it was for like a girls weekend and not her just using me as a pit stop on a long drive. She’s in NC for 8 days and only stayed with me for like 10 hours. While she’s here I found out that my grandpa has stage 3 esophageal cancer, when I told her her actual response was “damn” and she then proceeded to tell me that she was so sad because she would not be at home in MI when her new laptop arrived. I ignored her and got on a flight, 48 hours after arriving in Ohio she asked me when I would be in Ohio (she has my location) I told her I was already there and I was flying back to Nc the next day, she acted surprised saying she thought I would be there through thanksgiving and I reminded her I was only here because my grandpa was sick.. she then asked me if I was okay because she didn’t “think it was that serious”.. anyways this has had me upset and she always refers to me as her “maid of honor” and idk feels weird but I just don’t want to involve myself anymore AITAH if I drop out?

Serum ferritin is 86. I’m a nearing 50 female was diagnosed at 24. Was symptomatic and felt awful at the time. My ferritin was over 900. A liver biopsy and genetic testing confirmed hemochromatosis. I was treated for about 3 years every week and then every two, and felt dramatically better. Iwas doing maintenance once or twice a year, but became anemic a few years ago. I haven’t done phlebotomy since. I have other chronic conditions and often feel weak and tired. I frequently feel faint. Brain fog is usually blamed on medications. These symptoms have gotten worse despite my other conditions (CRPS and chronic migraine) being well controlled. My doctors typically blame the other conditions or medications for my symptoms, and now assume perimenopause, but never consider the hemochromatosis because my ferritin is normal. I’m just so tired of being tired and wondering if others feel symptoms with similar labs. I do have a follow up with my hematologist soon. Would appreciate any advice on what to ask.
