It seems to me that people who are 1000% certain in their beliefs have tremendous energy. Energy that can drive them and everyone else off a cliff with them.
The saying, "Treat all Dharma like a dream", suggests that we avoid clinging to ideological beliefs, and hold our perceptions of the world with a light touch.
How is energy generated with this ephemeral relationship with reality?

I hand made snails of me and my boyfriend for our 2 year anniversary They're transponder snails from one piece (the characters have snail phones like look like them)(I'm not caught up so didn't want to post in one piece community and see spoilers). I designed these ones to look like snail phones we might have
I used air dry clay, acrylic paint, mod podge, poscas. I used to work with clay more and felt inspired to do these šŸ˜ŗ he's a nerd he loves them.
Also, I've been working on small scale projects a lot lately (dollhouse furniture, small sculptures, tech decks) and am wondering if there is a better paint for this type of project. I know there is paint meant for DND minis but would it work for my purposes too?

2024.11.25 01:20 synthpenguin West Pest vs 0-Coast to add ā€œwest coastā€ synthesis to small existing Eurorack setup?

Ever since having the Volca Modular a little while ago, Iā€™ve really loved those ā€œwest coastā€ sounds with the wavefolder and LPGs and everything, and the way I was able to interact with the sound there, and Iā€™d love to add some of that to my existing Eurorack setup, which is basically setup to be a conventional Roland + SEM + Moog bass and lead machineā€¦ but my case is all filled up, and Iā€™m pretty happy with it otherwise, so Iā€™m looking for a patchable desktop synth to integrate in instead of modules.
While Iā€™m open to other ideas, this has me looking at the West Pest and 0-Coast.
Sequencer aside (which I can take or leave), the 0-Coast is the obvious winner for standalone use, but Iā€™m worried that it wonā€™t be as easy to patch into my current system (itā€™s hard for me to parse how for sure, but Iā€™ve seen a few people complain about this), and Iā€™m not sure if Iā€™ll miss something with some of the ā€œeast coastā€ influenced components like the transistor-based LPG (it certainly sounds great in demoes though).
I have the typical ā€œboringā€ combo of ADSR envelopes, Moog and Roland style VCOs and filters, LFOs, etc etc in my main rack, so I really want something that is going to push me in a different direction, and so the ā€œpurityā€ of the West Pest really interests me for my useā€¦ but damn the 0-Coast looks so fun!!!
I know this is ultimately very subjective, but Iā€™d appreciate any insight! Thank you!!

2024.11.25 01:20 Venichie Anyone else want innate abilities to be more hero defining?

What I mean is, there's a lot of heroes who got innate abilities that are may be really good for a heroes skillset, but ultimately are completely random.
A few examples are heroes such as; Bane, Invoker, Tusk, Oracle, Enchantress, Dark Seer, etc..
Now some of these as I said, could actually be really useful or synergize with the heroes skillset. That said, I'm curious if anyone else expected more thought being put into these abilities, to better define a hero.
For example of what I mean are heroes like; Pudge, Silencer, Sniper, etc..
I personally was hoping for not just more interesting ideas besides the obvious innate choices, like the ones I gave, but maybe something more creative, or maybe ones that help give more personality to the heroes. I for one would love to see something that made Bane feel more spooky/scary, heroes interacting more with one another, or if Invoker had a new ultimate that powered him up for every spell cast... or something.
Anyways, I'm curious what do you guys hope for the future for innates?

Iā€™ve noticed many apps that I am trying to download, now requires IOS 16 or higher. Mine Only goes up to 15.8.3 Most apps work, but are very slow & freezes.
Sad, I have TWO iPads. BOTH in absolutely mint condition! However, seems like they donā€™t update or support the recent software updates.
After numerous years as an Apple owner, Nano, IPad, IPad Mini, Apple Cell I think itā€™s time to move on to SAMSUNG! For Half the price!
Tired of spending $1000+++++ for these devices that are obsolete because THEY control the software.

[Grade 12 Calculus and Vectors] Adding Vectors Help Please I donā€™t understand when we have to use the supplementary angle or just the angle when using cosine law to find the magnitude of the sum of two vectors.
It says the angle between the vectors is 150 degrees, so I placed them tail to tail and took the supplementary of 150, but when I use cos30 in the sine law it gives me the wrong answer. If you use cos150 it gives you the textbook answer (0.52). I donā€™t understand how to know if it means tail to tail or if itā€™s just an angle between them (?) if anyone could help that would be really appreciated.
