2024.11.25 01:50 SnooRevelations7068 My mother in-law invited us over for Pizza night, we were going to get the cities best, then day before changed it to handmade sushi because they needed to use their produce up before it went bad. Incoming rant.
First time poster. First off, wtf I’m not impressed. Apparently I’m not an animal you want to bait and switch pizza with, who is though? It actually really annoyed me to the point where my partner said I should just not come to dinner that night, and before I was happy to be meeting up with them for good food. My partner normally would never dare take a stance against her mother on anything (she has once in 13 years and it was because her mom actually said some really hurtful things to me, then she profusely apologized about it and seemed to honestly see how messed up her behaviour was, but my wife was not happy and let her know.) Not saying she has to, there have been plenty of occasions where her mother has annoyed her though, and my wife just rolls with it. It also annoyed me in this instance that my partner doesn’t see this from my point of view and could have let her mother know that’s a disappointing downgrade. Homemade sushi has always been mediocre at best in my experience, I’ve done it with these people before too; it was basic af every time. Like a lot of men I have an understanding of sorts with mother in law, but we’re not close with the warm fuzzy feelings. Maybe I’m rambling, but man my mother in-law really annoyed me here by losing out on the cities best deep dish greasy meat lovers. As a kid this would have been devastating, as an adult male; I feel like I’ve made an enemy for life.

 | so basicaily I'm a Senior in high school and have been held back. I've always been the top student, getting straight A’s with 100% or 99% for years. This year, I accumulated so many 100% papers that they piled up like an arm length💀. But it means nothing because I didn't study for the final exams due to relationship issues. It's been five months since that happened, and I still haven't studied. I'm now in a virtual school, which has three exams to qualify me for the final exit exam. But this really means nothing because at the final exams i just didn't study because of relationship issues My family has always been my biggest supporters, thinking I was a talent. As a child, I made some mathematical discoveries (though they were already known 100yrs ago but i didn't know at that time) and read complex scientific topics like quantum physics and calculus at 14. I even spoke to university professors, but they didn’t want me to rush through high school, fearing being an accelerated student would be harmful. to qualify me for the final exit exam.) but now they don't support me at all they actually see me as a Total failure, which is true tbh but still really hurt but i understand them i made a lot of mistakes And now, I procrastinate rather then fixing. I take steps, but only for a few hours, and I constantly lie to my family about studying, which I hate. Right now, I feel like I'm at the bottom, and it all seems to mean nothing, it translate to nothing, im literally now are shit, and tbh even the relationship issues are all my fault, i never did my 100% In my country repeating a year in high school effect literally nothing Academically and in every way, it's like im a new student so i try to be a new student but now I just Procrastinate for months. I’m starting at a new salon (first one since graduating school and getting licensed) as an apprentice stylist. They said full time was 32 hours and made it sound like they don’t schedule their stylists for more than 36. I asked about working 4 days and they said that would be difficult while doing the training program (it’s about 8 months to a yearish) but made it sound like it was 5 shorter days. Well I was texted my schedule today and now I’m just dreading spending most of my time on my feet talking to people the whole day 🥲 I feel like I chose the wrong career honestly but I don’t even know what I’d rather be doing. For context I’m introverted, autistic and have a depressive/anxiety disorder so I get very drained and burnt out. I just wish it was more accepted to do 30 hour work weeks. At the same time though I need to make enough to not be financially dependent on my parents because I feel too old and like I’m behind in life… However even with 40+ hours it won’t be much better for me in this economy lmao so I’d rather just not work myself until I have nothing left in me. I just am dreading starting this. I really struggle with getting out of bed some days even. I don’t know if I should try and ask for lighter hours or what. Everyone’s asking if I’m excited to start and I’m honestly not- yeah there are a lot of nice clients but there are also so many who have the weirdest vibes and are so needy and will drain your energy lol. Also being on your feet for so long and just staring at the clock waiting for the day to be over… I wish it were possible to do 3 days a week doing hair and 1 day like volunteering at an animal shelter or something and be able to take like a month or two off a year to travel! That’s just me wishing though… If any more experienced stylists have any insights please let me know. Also please don’t tell me to just suck it up, you can be honest and say this is just what 90% of salons make you do and you can have more control of your work schedule after a few years, which I understand but it’s just hard to imagine the next few years for myself and how I’ll manage. What do you do with you patient notes/data if you are employed as a 1099 for multiple organizations? Doesn't make sense to keep memberships going with all different EHRs. Any tips for what to do if I'm taking short terms contract after short term contract? Do I want to make it a practice to download and save ea client note (and I guess treatment plan too?) as I'm doing them and figure out my own security storage?
