i permanently coloured my hair probably 8 weeks ago and last year before christmas i had some scattered highlights put in (dyed it back to black a few weeks later) my hair is pretty healthy despite a little heat damage. just wondering if i should just not or will it be fine? thoughts? experiences? 😝

 | I took the advice from this sub and bought one of those practice kits. I spent half the day learning and practicing these stitches. I got to the Palestrina stitch and thought to myself, I’m literally never going to use that. So I opted out of that one. But I REALLY love how satin stitch looks, so I took my liberty on the flower pot and flowers and did what I wanted. It’s not perfect but I know where to improve. I’ll continue to practice with my favorite stitches on the practice sets but I think I’m ready for my first original piece. A little bit about me: I’ve started studying Thai & want to visit. But people warn me about the heat & humidity constantly. However, I’m from the desert so heat is not an issue for me.
Where I live, we get summer heat of 120°F (48°C) and for me, it’s not unbearable. Uncomfortable sure, but it’s a dry heat so it’s not the worst (imo). In summer we receive a monsoon season which brings humidity. The dew point is about 55°F which once again doesn’t bother me much. I’ve also taken trips to the Hawaiian islands, Maui and Kauai. I was very young but I do remember the humidity in the airport when we first arrived. Definitely memorable since it was my first time in a tropical climate (although I think we visited during one of the most humid times).
My questions: -What months are the best for visiting? I always hear it’s November-February but is there a specific month? -Is anyone else from the desert/hot dry climate who can tell me their experience in Thailand? -Are there certain provinces where the weather is worse/better than others? I would love recommendations on where I should visit. -What do you do to help with handling the humidity? Can I get sick from so much humidity? -Given the kind of weather I’m used to, does it seem like I’ll be able to handle Thailand?
The comments I always get regarding the humidity scare me a little but I don’t know anyone who has actually BEEN to Thailand so I’m not sure if what I’m told is entirely accurate.
