Serious question
I got into Victoria 3 recently (great game!) and although I enjoy its economic and political aspects, the wars are a little underwhelming at times.
Hoi4 looks fun and I'm very aware the game focuses on war economy and troops movement, but I kind of like managing my politics and economy too.
Apart from everything regarding war, is there anything left that's interesting enough to play the game? Or is it just war

Brother want's a new pc as he hasn't upgraded for a good 10 years. He'll mostly be doing a bit of gaming, a lot of digital art in photoshop and he's hoping to learn Blender, Cascadeur for some AI animation related fun. I'm trying to convince him to save some money with the case, cooler, etc, but he's quite set on it being a "show piece" as much as a work horse.
The main things I'm unsure about are whether he's better off saving money going for the 7950x over the 7950x3d, as he will be playing games, but not prioritising them. Also, is the motherboard a good choice? I recommended the "B650 Aorus Elite AX V2", he likes the look of this x870e more and with it being newer, he's happy to spend a little more on it.
No dead-set budget but trying to keep it to £2,500-£3,000.

I live in a cold climate where windows are closed for a good 7 month/year. I have a HVAC with a heat recovery air exchanger.
I'm looking at automating HVAC circulation fan and opening the air exchanger.
I could operate it based on humidity or CO2 easily with fairly cheap device. e.g: SwitchBot Meter Pro (CO2 Monitor): 6-in-1 Air Quality Monitor | SwitchBot EU
There are also more expensive device which can monitor particles, voc and gas. e.g: AIR-1 Air Quality Sensor For Home Assistant | Apollo Automation
I am wondering what would be the best options for the whole home coverage, are CO2 monitor sufficient for bedroom air quality? I am tempted to get one Apollo and 3 cheaper (3 SwitchBot for the price of 1 Apollo) for bedrooms. Or is it worth going for 4 Apollo?
