2024.11.25 02:20 Radigan0 How does Restore Health/Fatigue work with a Constant Effect enchantment?

If it ends up being relevant at all, I am using OpenMW.
For most all Constant Effects, to get the most bang for your buck, the strategy is to leave the minimum at 1 and just set the maximum as the highest it can go before the chance gets too low or the points go above the item's capacity. If you do this, the exact number is chosen only once, when you equip the item, so just keep re-equipping until it rolls the maximum (or something close enough to the maximum).
However, it seems that with Restore effects, rather than the number being chosen at random when you equip the item, it seems to constantly fluctuate at all times. I first noticed this when I put a Restore Fatigue 1-15pts Constant Effect on an Exquisite Belt, since a new number between 1 and 15 seems to be rolled whenever I look at the effect, even if I never took the belt off.
I looked this up, but couldn't really find any results for this ultra-specific aspect of the game (which I expected once I started trying to articulate it in Google's search bar). Has anyone tested if it does actually restore a random amount each second, or tick, or frame, or what have you? If it does, then it seems the trick of adding a wide range doesn't really matter for Restore effects.

2024.11.25 02:20 NotenoughSodium Eagle Artillery was tatically removed

TLDR
The new TH17 defenses and removal of eagle artillery (EA) will make it more diffcult to loot dead bases.
Given the higher tile ranges, and rapidfire townhall, this will make it slighlty harder to obtain resources quickly.
EA removal is psychology based, where inactive bases are bad (smoke from inactive EA).
The long term strategy here is that CoC wants more active players and more engagement levels, especially at higher townhall levels (More playerbase + retention).
There are a few things here:

  1. EA requires player to log in and recharge, the TH does not (I think)
  2. EA has a puffy smoke coming out of it when inactive - This is bad because you are fighting a dead base, and gives the impression that you are fighting an inactive player base, which is less exciting and decentivises playing more of the game
  3. Inactive EA = this base is easy for loot - Which is bad for CoC because having players play more is obviously better
These changes are aimed to remove the feeling of fighting againist dead bases, and create a fast paced game for more players and retention (obviously). Notice how there are more active gameplay changes? looking at hero equiptment, and dynampic rapid firing defenses (new TH). The EA was good at it's time, but new toys need to be released to keep the game alive. It's been mentioned with countless posts, but the marketing of merging TH and EA is all BS, the real reason and long-term strategy is from above and more beyond that.
That said, these new changes have made the game more fun and enjoyable to play.
Just my 2c - I'm just bored waiting for the new TH

Nolin Lake primitive camping info please Hi all. We’re looking at tent camping at Nolin Lake next April and I’m struggling to find good information online. I am on the state park website and I see their map but it really isn’t helpful. I’m hoping someone who has been to the park can recommend two sites side by side in the primitive camp area that would be suitable for five adults, three children and possibly four tents. Also, would this number qualify for the group camp site? If I could just rent one spot instead of two it would be great. Any information, links, etc would be helpful.
Note: I know there are other places and parks but this one is dead center for everyone attending plus it has a shower which was an important selection for part of the group. So, I can’t entertain other park suggestions at this time.
