Hello and welcome to my post. I am at a point in my life at which I find myself without much companionship. I wish to remedy this and to find someone with whom I could form a meaningful and long-lasting bond. I am introverted and neurodivergent, I dislike large social gatherings and I certainly dislike friend groups. I suppose my definition of friendship goes beyond being able to spend time together in a merry way. I am struggling with life, with mental health and yet I strive to live better. I hope to find someone around my age in a similar boat. My ideal would be to find just one friend with whom we could navigate life's cliffs but of course such a thing cannot come spontaneuosly and is rather a goal of the far future. Bellow I will list-off my interests.
History. I have had an interest in history for almost a decade now, it started back in school and developed from there. Well, now that I think about it one could argue that it started even earlier in my life as I liked watching the odd historic documentary or film aired on television but it wasn't regular back then, I never actively sought it out. I am mostly interested in European history in the period between the 18th-20th century but I sometimes branch out to other time periods and other parts of the world. I watch various channels related to history and read articles and sometimes books. I have recently got a few books on the German revolution of 1848/1849 and a historical magazine on the Thirty Years' War. Besides that I try to visit museums sometimes.
Literature. Especially old novels. I like to immerse myself in the Worlds of these books, I tend to read them while listening to thematically fitting music and take my time with them. One time you are following a troubled Youth in his quest for spiritual understanding of the world, another you see the aged and decrepit Doctor gambling his very Soul on the promises of abtaining satisfaction in earthy pleasures, then again your olfaction notices the most pleasant scent known to man even as the one eminating it has the appearance of a revolting Frog (Can you guess it in your reply?). These and many other stories open up to you once you decide to set foot into the literary World.
Languages. I know three, with one being a bit rusty. I am currently working intently on strengthening it. I believe that if I continue to apply myself in this regard then I should be able to finally conquer it. What language am I working on? Well, if you were to stack all the major works in it they would be as tall as a house... It is fun to go through different works in multiple languages, the same goes for film, games and such.
Games. I recently played Cyberpunk 2077. Well as recently as I played any major story centric game. Now that the dust has settled and the bugs mostly removed...It's not that bad. The main questline at least. Besides that I tried Fallout 76 (Very average, I'm dissapointed with what they made the "RPG" system) and I might give Deus Ex Manking Divided another spin (since it's somewhat similar to Cyberpunk when it comes to its aesthetics). Dark Souls is one of my favorite series, I still haven't beaten Elden Ring though. When it came out I wasn't in the right mindset to invest a hundred hours into it, with all those bosses and difficult locations. I think I'll only consider playing it if I am streaming it to someone. I am generally interested in either streaming games or having the person I am talking to stream them to me. To be specific I mean streaming to a single person while being on call. Besides that I'm a big fan of Paradox strategy games, especially Europa Universalis IV and Heats of Iron IV, I tend to only play single player since I find multiplayer with many people to be rather stressful but on the other hand I have nothing against a co-op game. I'm not the best player though, despite the ammount of hours I have in them. Another great game I would mention would be Dragon's Dogma. A very underrated RPG. I recently beat it again and it was an atmospheric and interesting experience. It is one of those games that feel like they have an endless ammount of depth and constant new secrets to discover.
Anime and Manga. In recent times my interest in them has waned but I still watch the occasional series here and there. Some of my favourite series include: Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Death Note, Fate;Zero, Psycho Pass, Code Geass and Attack on Titan. I wouldn't mind if you were to introduce me to some new series, maybe based on the ones I mentioned. My favourite Manga is Berserk which I still follow, althought I am still not certain on the direction that the new author is taking. I suppose it really is a matter of contention whether a somewhat (or considerably warped) vision is better than an unfinished work. One could argue that a few novels remain unfinished and possess a macabre appeal to them as such.
Music. Classical music has a very special place in my heart. A few of my favourite pieces would be: Clair de Lune, Nocturne Op. 9 No.2, Devil's Trill Sonata, Danse Macabre, Valse Sentimentale, Symphony No. 7 in A Major, Op. 92: II. Alegreto (by Beethoven) and Suite from Swan Lake, Op. 20a: I. Scene. Moderato. There are more but these ones always invoke something in me when I listen to them. Besides Classical I also enjoy listening to Synthwave, old Western pop and J-pop, both modern and from the 20th century.
Spirituality. I have long since had an interest in all things mystical, magical, supernatural and overall esoteric.

Tear me apart for some of these theories as I just lurk and never post but here’s my ideas on how things are going to play out based on the first 3 seasons and other random observations.
-The man in yellow , or Mabuse (it sounds cool), the obvious big bad behind things is either using science to control everything, or magic. If it’s science, I suspect that his base of operations is in the hospital and everyone in fromville is in some sort of coma where he is doing something to prolong his life or some sort of sciencey mumbo jumbo. The idea that the town is all some sort of computer program created by Mabuse has things like the town and the electricity and running water etc all make more sense than, evil magic
If it’s magic, then this really stinks of vampirism or something similar, like he’s literally feeding on the suffering of the people in town.
-Whenever the people in town get too close to figuring it out, Mabuse has the monsters kill everyone. Certain people reincarnate and come back to try again and again. I think the thing changing this cycle is Victor who should have died but the boy in white has saved, the one piece changed enough to make a difference.
- Kimono lady is the one whispering in everyone’s ear when they hear shit. She maybe higher up the evil ladder than Mabuse
- Boyd is the Reincarnation of Martin, they are the foil to Mabuse, who wants nothing more than to break them for his own ego. Sherlock to Moriarty

I decided to stop using Saxenda after four weeks because the side effects outweighed the benefits. I couldn't tolerate the jump from 1.2 mg to 1.8 mg—every time I tried, I experienced severe abdominal pain. I went back to 1.2 mg with the plan to increase the dose gradually, but my heart rate spiked so badly that I couldn’t sleep.
The hunger suppression at the lower dose was minimal, and while I understand you need to reach the "cruising" dosage for full effect, it started to feel like the risks were too high for me. The potential side effects, especially the increased risk of thyroid cancer, are terrifying. That alone was enough for me to stop.
I used up one and a half pens but won’t continue. In my country, Saxenda is the only prescription option for weight loss if you’re not diabetic, so I hoped it would work for me. Unfortunately, it was a horrible experience.
I’m sharing this as a word of caution—it might work perfectly for some people, but for me, it was a nightmare.

New Delhi: As the situation continues to deteriorate in Manipur, with the ongoing state of violence signalling towards the failure of the elected government in handling the situation, Former Army Chief General Ved Prakash Malik, who had served as the Chief of Army Staff during the Kargil War in 1999, said, “The time has come to bring in a change of guard in Manipur.”
The former Army chief, who had extensive experience in the Northeast during his service days emphasised, “We should have the President’s rule under Article 356. The time has come to establish Governor’s rule with an effective unified command under him.”
Here are the excerpts from the interview – Q: What is your assessment on the ongoing ethnic turbulence in Manipur? How do you see it? A: It has been about 17-18 months and the violence continues. It’s an extremely tragic situation in Manipur as of now. All the tribes are fighting with each other, but particularly the conflict is between Kukis and Meiteis. My feeling is that the current elected government has not been able to control the situation, therefore, the violence has increased. So many people have died, their houses have been damaged, and they are forced to live in shelter homes.
Therefore, I think that it is high time now that we should have the President’s rule under Article 356. This would enable a more effective unified command, under which all paramilitary forces, local police, Assam Rifles, and, if need be, the army, would come together. But I think the priority now is to first halt the violence which is going on between these tribes, and address infiltration from Myanmar. Once we are able to maintain law and order by recovering the stolen weapons and putting an end to violence, we should focus on rebuilding trust and having political talks. At this stage, political discussions will not be possible as there is a complete lack of trust in the current state government.
Q: A couple of days ago, the centre deployed nearly 5,000 additional paramilitary troops. How do you see it? Can it bring peace? A: It is not a question of deploying more and more troops. The question is having people who can be effective under proper command, which is not happening.
Q: You believe that there’s a lack of coordination? A: Absolutely. There seems to be a poor understanding of the situation, as well as lack of coordination. The fact is that if you have an ineffective commander leading all the troops, you will not get the results. Deploying more troops to some extent may be required, but simply increasing the number of troops cannot solve the crisis and bring peace. The additional troops being deployed are coming from other regions, and it will take time for them to understand the ground situation. Having dealt with such situations in my own career, you need people who understand how these tribes function.
If the Chief Minister’s house is being attacked by militants, it means that there is absolutely no control in Imphal.
Q: People are arguing that this lack of coordination between the state government and the centre is also to blame for the ongoing clashes. So, what should be done to solve this crisis? A: The fact is that there has been a sheer lack of coordination between centre and state government. It means that the Chief Minister is not being effective in managing the situation, both with the centre and within his own state. A change is needed, and it should be one that is impartial. The person who takes over should be known for their impartiality and experience.
Time has come to establish Governor’s rule with an effective unified command under him. At present, the command is functioning under the ineffective leadership of the Chief Minister.
Q: Do you think that imposing AFSPA in several districts can resolve the crisis? A: AFSPA is only an authority, or I would say, a rule which permits the armed forces to carry out their search and operations, as well as, taking on the militants, under a particular clause. AFSPA is not the answer for everything. It is only to facilitate the functioning of the army, but it is not a solution.

I (34F) am one of 7 children that came from an Asian background. It is part of our culture to help siblings set their life, not as an obligation but out of love. I came to my dream country in 2016 with my husband (38M) and now has kids. I have also helped my siblings (all 6 of them) move to this country but migration is a bit complicated so we are finding ways to get their Permanent residency. But the idea is that I will not do it alone. It is not my sole responsibility, and should be shared (helping each other out). I recognize I am the one already set so I have been shouldering most of financial (and other needs) in order for us to have a great life here. And that is okay as long as I do not sacrifice what I should be setting for my kids too. I found someone who I introduced to my older sister OS (41F) and they eventually married. The guy (53M) said he is living off his investments, already has a paid house and is no longer working. He also said during the engagement that he will let my sister work so that she can support my parents while he will be supporting my OS. It was also at this point that we mentioned that she will be helping our youngest sister's YS(33F) tuition, for 2yrs, until she finish masters. Because I will be helping the others (4 others plus 2 nieces). And they agreed to this (she even said that she's going to send her to school again, as she really did during our youngest sister's university years/bachelors).
For context, studying is one path of migrating. And we don't want her YS to get married for visa purposes if she has a choice. If she falls in love naturally, that's good but visa should not be her purpose for marriage.
After getting married, OS insists that my YS goes back home to our country. And that she should find a husband instead to go back here. Marriage is a huge decision and it makes/breaks what their life will be. I looked for a husband for my OS because of a lot of reasons, that we do not see on the YS (she is happy alone).
Then we said we will still continue her masters studies, OS said she can't help as she originally intended because of her husband's financial situation (which is of choice, not because they are unable). Because of this, my parents has came back to work to help my YS, I have to take another job (I have kids plus a fulltime job) and I have to convince my husband to help. So while OS is working for them (and her husband does not work), we have to stretch ourselves. And with that, I have to tell the others (4brothers and 1niece) that they have to support themselves too as I can't be their backup now (as I will be backing YS).
This is only a temporary thing and will be finished in 1.25yrs time. We are not asking for a lot, but for my OS to at least have a day that she will allot to help/loan to my YS. Everything is loaned and will be returned. We are a family that do not run from what is owed/debt. We do not want to get money from her husband as well.
I called her on her BS that she has no choice. We know this is influenced by her husband. And while helping is not forced, she has left us to fend for ourselves now that she has a better life (she keeps on sending us photos of her travel), while also maintaining that they are poor.
My YS and my mother understood that it was not my sister's fault but her husband's. And I agree with them. But I still cut off all my communications with my OS. She left us behind. Ohana means nobody gets left behind. I don't want to be there if it is only convenient for her.
I have stretched my hands and legs to help them. It's like having 4people carry a bed. And if one drops the weight, the others carry that burden. So I'm carrying this bed, and my other sibling's beds. While my OS sits on the sofa. AITA for cutting her from my life?

Buenas. Les comento entre en un plan de ahorro con fiat por el mobi. Pague la suscripción + 1er cuota (500.000 ars). Posteriormente se debía comunicar control de calidad, el problema surge cuando control de calidad me dice que todo lo que me dijo el vendedor era mentira. Luego de 5 llamados decido darme de baja del plan y control de calidad detiene todo el proceso. Acto seguido me comunico con el gerente y doy aviso de la baja(que fue en menos de 10 dias). Me acerco al lugar y me hace hacer una nota(que nunca envió) del motivo. La cuestión es q el gerente no quiere devolverme el dinero ,y cuando me comunique con fiat me dijeron q me deben dar el reintegro y me ayudaron a darme de baja el plan directamente ( ya que no tenia ni grupo y ni orden). Es más tanto fiat como el contrato dice q me deben dar el reintegro. Vengo hace meses intentando sacar mi 1er 0km, y ya me paso esta situación y la concesionaria me había devuelto el dinero. Pero el gerente de esta concesionaria no da brazo a torcer. Quiero aclarar que tengo la grabación de cuando me junte con el flaco, y las llamadas que tuve con todos.

I was looking through the post about the most famous person on Taskmaster who isn't a contestant, and I was wondering who everyone thinks the most famous contestant on Taskmaster has been (in any version)? Or just who you recognized, I'd love to know!
I'm American, so I love to see these takes bc there aren't many people I recognize beforehand, just bc they haven't reached an American audience. I'd love to hear from all of you to see who was generally considered famous in your country when you watched that season.
Like Nick Mohammed was a HUGE deal for me, and generally the only person most people I know would know, since Ted Lasso is such a big show in America. But I'm not sure if he's nearly as famous in the UK as he is in America. The Bake Off hosts were cool to see too, but that's a little more niche to Americans than Ted Lasso is.
