2024.11.25 05:10 RedMauler Beat Nioh 1 and 2: a Review
Hi everyone, I just completed the series as of yesterday. I have my own review I would like to share and possibly get some feedback.
I enjoyed the games quite a bit. The story was interesting and it didn't feel super drawn out. I haven't done the DLCs yet so I can't speak on them. I liked learning about some of the characters and doing my own research on them. Super cool as a history fan.
The gameplay is a weird mix for me. My biggest gripe is the combos. I never found combos to be very useful. Most of the time I did small strings (light light light heavy) and if I am lucky, end with an active skill. Most of the bosses attacked too fast to allow me to do any of the cool stuff, making a good portion of the Yokai fights feeling awful. Human fights were generally okay, some of them were beyond frustrating with crazy one-shots from off screen. The hyper-armor can go away as well.
The bosses themselves felt like a major letdown. I found myself enjoying fighting the regular enemies much more than the bosses. I never really got a chance to punish Yokai bosses because they would Dark Realm so fast. This led me to feel like I just had to slowly grind away HP. I liked the magic buffs, but I had so little slots at 30 magic I couldn't really waste stuff on experimentation. I didn't really play with the ninja stuff in the second game, but it was a blast in the first game.
The loot system is fine. It wasn't anything exciting though. I got pretty frustrated whenever my box would fill up and I couldn't disassemble all items under a certain level. There weren't any mods to do so either.
It feels great using weapons when you actually have a chance to do so. Some of the most fun I have had was with the spear. In Nioh 1/2 it was very satisfying. Managing Ki starts off feeling tedious, but then gets pretty fun. I liked the active moves a lot.
I know I was pretty critical, but I generally found the games to be good. I think the frustration of a lot of the bosses left a sour taste in my mouth. I would like to hear what you all think of the bosses and the combos. How do you find time to use them?

How can I get a firework rocket to always face east? I'm not talking about the particle but the hitbox of the firework entity. I'm using the spectate command but I can't get it to stay east. It want to look west. I even tried having a command run on every tick to force the direction execute as u/e[type=minecraft:firework_rocket,limit=1] at u/s run teleport u/s ~ ~ ~ facing ^1 ^ ^ In the video you can see the direction it's facing and how it always goes back to facing west.

Anybody continued to have casual sex with ex anLost my job at the same moment at broked up with ex.
Ex contacted me last week afyer she broke up with her reboundand and we had sex 3 times already.
She is in substance abuse recovery (adderall). Beside that I really appreciate her. And the sex is crazy.
Any of you ended up still meeting someone else while still having their ex in the area?
The sex with ex gives me confidence and focus in general especially for my new stressful job i started last week.
She told me she's knows we cannot workout but she enjoys my presence. Also she is in recovery so her main focus is on her recovery.
I still go out 2 3 times a week to do fun stuff like social dancing or social events without my ex.
What do you think?

 | Hello, I am looking for capture cards to add to my PC that have Composite/S Video inputs to capture footage ran through my various circuit bent devices and my VIDEONICS MXProDV / Focus Enhancements MX-4 (I believe they're essentially the same thing and that is has a decent tbc, although not as good as a dedicated tbc). Ideally one with Composite/S Video outputs too but I can live without that and nothing with VGA/Component and definitely no HDMI converters. I am no stranger to rescanning from a CRT screen but sometimes it can be cumbersome, especially when it comes to lining up my camera accurately with the CRT screen. I also understand a capture card device will not be able to handle more intense glitches like a CRT can but I am assuming it will still be much better than a HDMI to USB capture device. I have done some digging and come across things like the AverMedia SD PCIe CE310B Video Capture Card but I was wondering what else is out there and which ones would be compatible with my PC? My PC has an ASUS TUF GAMING B760-PLUS WIFI D4 motherboard (pictured below). I am also looking for suggestions for a dedicated device that has Composite/S Video inputs that can capture whatever is fed to it, kind of like an Atomos Ninja V with analog inputs. I have an ImmersionRC PowerPlay that does that decently but the 2.6" display isn't ideal. - Does Plating stack with the other armors or replace it?
- Robot Armor in the base book only accounts for Mr Handy characters, which only have one “leg”, the thruster. If I get robot leg armor for say a Protectron, do I only need one piece of robot leg armor, or two?
- Actuated Frame specifies thruster, but could it also work for legs? If so, would both legs need it or just one, going back to my previous question.
