i went in to grab some food after my 9 hour shift at work since i just had a terrrrrible day and a terrible shift, and i work in the food industry so i totally understand how stressful it can be. BUT, i pulled up to the wendy's drivethru, after placing a mobile order about 10 minutes before, and they asked for my name, i gave it, and claimed they didn't have my mobile order.
and im like okay, could be a glitch in the system [this was definitely the correct address, etc] and they asked me to pull forward to show them my app + the proof of purchase (the loading/waiting screen). i showed them it, the woman takes....myphone, and scrolls a little bit on it before just cancelling it without telling me, and handing it back then pretending that they never got the order. they got their manager to come over, and i tell them that i placed the order and it charged me, and showed them proof, and asked if i could just have my food since i have proof that i did purchase it from this location. they told me no and had me leave the line after their worker just, cancelling my order and pretending they didn't have it at all. :(
it just hurt my feelings a bit, you know?

I wanted to share an experience I had with the admissions process at a certain top-tier MBA school. I’m keeping it anonymous for now because my intent isn’t to target anyone, but rather to hear if others have faced something similar.
When you’re investing so much time, effort, and money into applying for an MBA program, you’d expect the admissions process to reflect the values of transparency, fairness, and professionalism that the school claims to uphold. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been the case in my experience.
Here’s a general idea of what happened:
-There was a significant miscommunication regarding policies around deposits and scholarships. -I was initially told one thing and made decisions accordingly, only to later find out that their policies seemed inconsistent. -When I tried to raise concerns, I felt dismissed and even accused of things that were unfair and irrelevant.
The entire situation left me feeling deeply disillusioned, especially given the institution’s reputation for leadership and integrity. For those of us coming from humble backgrounds, every penny matters, and I couldn’t help but feel that my concerns were not taken seriously.
To be clear, I still believe the school has a lot to offer academically, but the way some aspects of the admissions process were handled was disappointing, to say the least.
I’m curious if anyone else has had similar issues with admissions teams at MBA programs? How did you handle it? Do you think these kinds of experiences are just part of the process, or should schools be held more accountable for how they treat applicants?

General guide for magnetizing the PHR Cruisers. Seen a few posts asking sonething along the lines and 1 comment saying it was nearly impossible.
As I am in the midst of magnetizing my entire starter force, can confirm it is feasible.
You'll need to drill pilot holes for your magnets to get them semi flush. Depth should be 2 magnets, 1 for the 'holder' magnet and one for the 'mounted' magnet. This means you won't have to drill into the attachments themselves, which would be nigh impossible as they're very narrow.
To get the broadside weapons / bays mounted, I've opted to pre-attach them together and add the magnet in the middle.
The forward mounted weapon is easily mountable with 1 magnet.
The 'flair' bits on the bottom can be mounted with 1 or 2 magnets, depending on type. It's a double laser or troop compartment, you'll need 2, otherwise 1 should do.
I used 1/8" magnets for all of this.

2024.11.25 05:40 FreemanCantJump My Deck + Moonlight has breathed new life into my old gaming rig.
My Deck is my main gaming platform and I've been dying to play Silent Hill 2, but obviously the Deck isn't strong enough. Figured I'd either have to shell out $350+ for a PS5 or upgrade my old rig (GTX 1070ti + Ryzen 3 3100). Well think again.
Can my dusty old rig run SH2 @ 1080p at a stable frame rate? ❌
Can it run SH2 at 800p on high settings, locked 30fps while I stream to my Deck through Moonlight? ✅
I'm three hours in, the stream has been flawless and the game looks great. Even better, I didn't have to drop $$$ on new hardware and I'm playing handheld on my couch.
The Deck is so good it makes OTHER hardware better. Thinking of trying Alan Wake 2 next (the other game I've been dying to play).
