General guide for magnetizing the PHR Cruisers. Seen a few posts asking sonething along the lines and 1 comment saying it was nearly impossible.
As I am in the midst of magnetizing my entire starter force, can confirm it is feasible.
You'll need to drill pilot holes for your magnets to get them semi flush. Depth should be 2 magnets, 1 for the 'holder' magnet and one for the 'mounted' magnet. This means you won't have to drill into the attachments themselves, which would be nigh impossible as they're very narrow.
To get the broadside weapons / bays mounted, I've opted to pre-attach them together and add the magnet in the middle.
The forward mounted weapon is easily mountable with 1 magnet.
The 'flair' bits on the bottom can be mounted with 1 or 2 magnets, depending on type. It's a double laser or troop compartment, you'll need 2, otherwise 1 should do.
I used 1/8" magnets for all of this.

2024.11.25 05:40 FreemanCantJump My Deck + Moonlight has breathed new life into my old gaming rig.
My Deck is my main gaming platform and I've been dying to play Silent Hill 2, but obviously the Deck isn't strong enough. Figured I'd either have to shell out $350+ for a PS5 or upgrade my old rig (GTX 1070ti + Ryzen 3 3100). Well think again.
Can my dusty old rig run SH2 @ 1080p at a stable frame rate? ❌
Can it run SH2 at 800p on high settings, locked 30fps while I stream to my Deck through Moonlight? ✅
I'm three hours in, the stream has been flawless and the game looks great. Even better, I didn't have to drop $$$ on new hardware and I'm playing handheld on my couch.
The Deck is so good it makes OTHER hardware better. Thinking of trying Alan Wake 2 next (the other game I've been dying to play).

I am wondering if I can simply swap an i5-12400F into an i5-14400F prebuilt, since they share a CPU socket? I see people have supposedly done a BIOS update to convert from 12th --> 14th gen. Would I even need to do anything software related for this 14th --> 12th downgrade other than maybe reset certain settings in BIOS and OS? Thanks
Context: I'm looking at the $1300 $800 CAD Asus G13CHR as a media machine for running+livestreaming presentations at an event venue with PowerPoint/OBS. Perhaps a bit overkill, but I just want it futureproof
It's a 14th gen machine (i5-14400F). I see that Intel 13th/14th gen has some oxidation issues and hardware instability that they "fixed" with BIOS/Windows updates by essentially limiting CPU power.

I know this might sound controversial, but embracing my ego has been a big help for my mental health. For the past few years, I've had ups and downs with my mental health, including depression. During this time, I've learned that having a strong sense of ego, knowing my worth, and not letting others' judgments affect me has given me the confidence to live better. It’s not about being arrogant; it’s about being confident and true to myself.
Sometimes, my ego leads to arguments with my family. But I always try to acknowledge my mistakes and make things right. Outside my family, I stay calm and composed, which makes me feel more confident, open, and happy. Although this hasn’t helped much with my OCD symptoms, embracing my ego has really helped me manage my depression. I'm not saying everyone should think this way, but it has been incredibly beneficial for me. Embracing my ego has given me a new lease on life, and I’m grateful for that.
