Hi, I’m a Level 1 at In-N-Out, and it’s my 10th shift since I got hired about three weeks ago. I’m 17 and still in high school, and while I worked in fast food before at Wienerschnitzel about a year and a half ago, I haven’t worked since then. I feel like I was pretty good at my first job, but now I’m struggling to get back into the rhythm and keep up. I really want to become a better, faster worker and build confidence in what I’m doing, but I get nervous about messing up, which slows me down. For example, I’m not great at cutting tomatoes and could use advice or strategies to improve on that specifically. What are some tips for becoming more efficient, confident, and dependable as an In-N-Out employee? I’m open to any advice you can share!

So I (27M) matched with a girl (25F) on Bumble earlier today and I really like her. She’s pretty much my ideal type in a lot of ways (which is hard for me to find because I have pretty high standards when it comes to dating), but she’s also showing a lot of clingy signs in the basically 5 hours I’ve talked to her. I wanna know if these are red flags I should be avoiding.
It started off pretty simple. After we matched we complimented each others pets, and after a few messages I asked her out on a date. She said she wants to get to know me more first (fair enough) and so she gave me her number and we started texting.
About 20 texts in she agreed to the date and also mentioned I was her type too. Things were great, our chemistry was awesome, I tried ending on a high note and said I had to go to bed but she asked me to stay up with her for a while. I didn’t mind and thought it was cute, but an hour later and she still didn’t want me to leave. Then another hour, and more and more she started opening up about past trauma and was sharing a lot of baggage. It felt like she was coming up with ways to sabotage me from going on the date with her, and I ended up just cutting it off and saying “have a good day at work tomorrow” but the final thing she said was “you’re not gonna text me before work?”
I don’t have a lot of dating experience, I’m new to this kind of thing. I admit it was probably a mistake to continue texting past when I said I would end it, but I guess I’m also kinda hoping this isn’t a red flag because I really like her. Any advice?

Hi, my current project is sewing a rolltop rucksack, I am slowly nearing completion but the final step will be the rolltop closure (same style as a drybag). The fabric I am using is very lightweight so it won’t be enough on its own to hold the structure of the rolltop to create the tension to keep it nice and secure when clipped closed.
Most dry bags or similar rolltop closure rucksacks I have seen have a stiff inert of some sort, I have considered doubling over the fabric, using grosgrain or webbing, but the best approach seems to be to insert some sort of bendy plastic. Does any one have any experience using plastics that can be found around the house for this (I wondered if milk cartons would work - UK - but I think the plastic is too thin), importantly something that won’t snap after a few months. Any help is greatly appreciated!

This is my opinion but I believe as Bumrah waited for Kohli's 100, he should have also waited for Nitish Reddy's 50. Just like scoring a century is a huge confident boost for Koach, Reddy is a debutant and scoring a half century would have been a huge morale boost. Nitish Reddy played really well in the first innings too and deserves one 50. India was in a winning situation anyway, there is no point in saying 'it's for the team'.

2024.11.25 06:39 Cooing-Maxito Big Internal Changes (Undertale 3ds, W.I.P)
 | BIG YAPPING SESSION INCOMING So, It's been quite a while since I last posted about this. I've been spending a LOT of time updating and heavily optimizing internally the game's systems, and added some new features along the way. I know that it may be a bit frustrating to not see a lot of new content of the actual story being made, but I hope you can all understand I want to optimize this as much as I can so that everyone can play this game (look at images for reference, it's all running from the old 3ds!) The absolute heaviest optimization was EASILY Tilemaps (which is one of the new things I also made). So, previously, tilemaps would consume about 70% of cpu usage, which is ABHORRENT and absolutely unacceptable, after tons of work and meddling around with rendering I managed to get it all the way down to a maximum of 3%, HUGE!! Another new thing was a Pixel Perfect Camera, this removes all pixel warping that was present in other builds of the game, and actually properly adjusts to the 3ds' resolution, making the game look almost the same as the original Undertale, which is like actually so cool Oh and also, I pretty much overhauled the text and dialogue system! ...again LMAO Okay but trust me, this is the good one. What this lets me do is create easy-to-modify files that contain dialogue, and I can store npc or interact dialogue in one file, and a character's dialogue in a different file, which in turn makes things way more manageable, and in turn, makes TRANSLATIONS easier to make. Pretty neat huh? For context, I am a very light sleeper so I can easily wake up with strange sounds in the middle of the night. It is finals week, and I have a presentation tomorrow, but my stupid roommate asks me while I WAS FUCKING ASLEEP if she could just turn off the lights. At first, I didn't even answer but she asked so many times that I had to answer her. When I did, I think it's really obvious with my tone that I was so annoyed. I was already asleep and now I'm ranting of on reddit because of this. It makes me soo fucking madd I am trembling and annoyed that I am losing sleep over this. I did not plan to sleep this late at all!
First, I told her so many times already that she can do whatever she wants and I don't really care because I am not a fussy human being to live with. I can adjust whenever but this one is something makes my head boil. I can sleep even if the lights are turned on. I told her just don't wake me up if you want to turn on the lights or increase the temp of the heater. But she fucking did it to me again tonight. What is wrong with her?
She is a nice person but I have so many problems with her. Since I'm an international student, I get calls from my family and my friends back home, and sometimes she talks to me even though she knows I'm on a call with someone! She asks for the most stupid stuff like if it's it okay to move this thing on the counter blah blah blah or even just open the door whenever a delivery guy knocks. She puts the gloves she uses to collect the trash and put it in the dining table. She saves her tissue paper by tearing it into little pieces and putting it on our dining table. She doesn't turn on the lights when she uses the washroom because she's concerned that someone might look when it's just really the silhouette that can be seen. I thought it was just me but when I try to recall the things I get annoyed about her I realized that SHE IS SOO WEIRD.
She sets up an alarm sometimes at 5am or 6am and I am the one who wakes up and I have to freaking say to her that her alarm is going off in the morning! I am so sleep deprived now because I'm working and studying. I really wanted to just rent to another place but for now I'm just ranting here because I need to save money since I'm still a student.
I don't know how to deal with her. She has two master's degree but her common sense is non-existent.

My almost 6 month old usually wakes from her last nap around 5pm, for a bedtime between 7.30pm-8pm. Today, she woke up at 4.10pm and didn't go back to sleep.
Since she woke from her last nap early, I don't know whether to bring her bedtime forward to keep the final wake window the same, or extend her wake window to keep the bedtime consistent. What do other people do in this situation??
She's not the best sleeper on a good day, so I'm worried no matter what we choose we're in for a rough night 😭
