I’m not even talking about the ultra-rich nepo babies. I’m talking about the bullies and even rags-to-riches people who started at nearly the same point as the rest of us, but somehow keep winning all the time.
Maybe it’s the fairytale brainwashing from stories where the underdog protagonist works their butt off while the antagonist are born talented and rich. But I truly cannot figure out how some people who work hard for their achievements can turn out mean and arrogant.

Australian servers are broken at the moment, and have been for nearly 48 hours.
4 out of 5 games go to Asian servers, and the 1 Australian game usually ends with everyone getting disconnected from the server.
Heaps of Australian gamers are suffering this same issue as well. All my friends (of varying skills and levels) are experiencing this too. Needs to be sorted ASAP.

ok the book is about these two sisters. one is a mom and i think her husband was a soccer player or something, he traveled for work. she flirted with this guy a little bit and he ended up stalking her and following her home, then going inside and freaking her out and making her fall down the stairs. he starts to call the cops then leaves, and her sister shows up a little later and finds her on the floor. the girl ends up being in a coma, and the cops think it was her sister who did it but because they look so much alike they make an officer stay with her in case it was someone else. the creepy guy finds the sister and starts going to her work because she’s a personal trainer or something. she has a really bad relationship with food because of her mom, who died of cancer i think. anyways eventually the creepy guy kidnaps her right as the sister in a coma wakes up to say who hurt her. then the cop guy has to find her, also i think the girl who was kidnapped was named savanah and her nickname was savvy

The fashion industry is the second largest polluter of clean water globally, a cotton t-shirt takes 2700L of water to make, textile waste from both industry and consumers are destroying parts of the world and hurting wildlife. There’s also microplastics, shady practices, fast fashion culture that has burned into our society.
The Uniqlo Airism shirt costs $14.90. How? How does the labor, resources, and land for growing the cotton, the production process (raw cotton to yarn, yarn to fabric, undyed fabric to dyed fabric, the pattern maker and cutter, patterns to seamstress), and the labor + resources for logistics, cost $6 or less in total?
Here’s the thing, these staggering facts are caused by the big corporations like Zara, H&M, Nike, Adidas, Uniqlo, Shein, etc. not small or medium sized brands.
You could say opening a sustainable brand provides options for people who do care about sustainability, and there is a rise in awareness amongst people. But even with the rise of sustainable options, the numbers don’t lie. Consumers value cheap prices over sustainability any day.
Clothing inherently shouldn’t be “affordable” because of how much resources and labor it takes. A garment should be made and kept for a lifetime.
It’s an oversaturated industry, but it’s oversaturated for a reason. Even with inflation and recession, the fashion industry is never going to fade away.
There is enough clothing to cloth 8 billion people’s next 6 generations of descendants today. Whether or not the clothing are of good quality to even reach the 2nd generation is another topic worth discussing.
