My local FB marketplace, dudes selling a sapphire rx 5700 for 100-120$ while on Ebay a found an Red Devil RX 5700 XT for around 150$ shipping etc included.
is it worth chucking up the extra 30ish for the safety of knowing that i can return it if it doesn work? Ebay seller doesnt accept returns but you can still return the item if it comes in damaged or not working.

Last night, I woke up to the sound of people shouting in the streets. I wasn’t sufficiently awake to know, or really care, what they were shouting – from experience, I knew it was the audience exiting the club show up the block. Seconds later, or maybe it was an hour, I was bathed in blue light, which I couldn’t really comprehend until I got out of bed, wandered over to the window – a police presence, lights flashing, across the street. This, too, is part of the scene for club shows of a certain mood, which is somewhat euphemistic – hip-hop is the more exact category – cops show up when hip-hop shows let out. I don’t spend long at the window, but I’m also confused by what I’m seeing – cop lights, yes, but too bright to make out the vehicle. Weirdly spaced like I’m seeing something new – some abnormality in the street, flooding the room with blue light.
This played out after I told a friend, the afternoon before, about a childhood memory of seeing a vehicle exuding light, moving silently through the dark. I was so young, someone was holding me in their arms, maybe mom. Over time, I came to assume the thing was farm equipment – a combine harvester, for instance, though I’m not quite sure why I would be seeing farming done at night. At dusk maybe? Minutes after sunset? None of it really makes any sense when I think it through. A couple of years after my enlightenment experience in 2003, when I found a place to allow contemplation to wander where it would, I returned to that memory, among others, wondered what it was. A divine existential ally asserted the memory was a moment of contact, with a will to normalcy having transformed it into something else. I was maybe 3 or 4 years old.
Does it make any sense to say my entire remembered life might be taking place in the belly of a saucer-shaped craft, harvesting corn after dark? Okay, not that last part, but seriously – what’s it really mean to suppose a post-human intelligence intends to make contact? Ask the question again, but this time let’s assume the point of contact is nonmaterial – no vehicle flashing across the vastness of outer space, no body with big black eyes and elongated neck, asking me to take it to my leader. If the contact experience turns out to be metaphysical – in a way, how could it not be? – then alien abduction might be no different than death, resurrection, born again in an alien mind, and thus remembered by something that knows us better than we know ourselves, no different than an act of god. I am looking for a way out, I say to the angel remembering me.
Earlier in the evening, before the late-night encounter with the blinding lights, I was engaged in the video equivalent of doom scrolling – a compendium of high-res cinematic depictions of the end of the world, featuring the many kinds of objects that can plunge from the skies, the many ways urban skylines can be swept clean. The most interesting of them all was a seemingly true-to-life depiction of secret service agents trying to save the president from an imminent nuclear explosion, though what happens to the rest of Baltimore was not featured in the clip. I’d made a specific reference to Baltimore earlier in the day, so I was especially worried about how it all might fit together, from the standpoint of prophesy or just plain old coincidence. The overhead view of Baltimore does not include the Francis Scott Key bridge that collapsed earlier this year.
I have to admit, when I do this, I’m trying to figure out what’s coming next, what’s going on. In fact, of the movie clips I doom scrolled, I only saw one of the movies in its entirety, didn’t think much of it. I don’t fantasize about living through disasters, much less the global dystopia that follows from some of those initial conditions. What I fantasize about, night and day if I thought it would help, is the vitality that arises when divine authority seems to enter the frame, begins to alter humanity’s fate. Whether we think of this as gods or aliens or some post-human future controlling the past, the authority in evidence will urge us to imagine something more than the formulation of power we’ve been conditioned to expect. How much richer is the richest man in the world compared to yesterday? Why should this figure inspire anything more than despair?
After my enlightenment experience in 2003, reality was animated like never before, with more than one spiritual source vying for control of my destiny. I’d survived a near-death experience six months earlier, and life thereafter was so relentlessly strange, I couldn’t imagine carrying on without understanding the truth. I came to think of the experience as enlightenment because I witnessed the presence of a world adjacent to the one we know, guiding the way we think and feel, orchestrating the human future in ways large and small. I also experienced the alien other under a variety of different conditions, from visions in the sky to first-person encounters on the ground. In my experience – and really, how can it be anyone else’s – one will always experience ambiguity with the alien other. The truly unknown will always be adjacent to the unknowable.
Another childhood memory: When I was a kid, a popular local business, the Midstate Shopping Center, burned to the ground. I can’t remember who notified us of the emergency in progress – I picture the wall phone ringing, dad ordering us into the car. By the time we got near, police had blocked off the road, so we parked as near as we could, watched a river of flashing lights as firefighters battled the blaze. I was in the backseat, too young to really comprehend what I was seeing, though it all became self-evident when we returned the next day to bare witness to the charred remains. I remember being in the store with my dad many times – the place was more like a farmer’s idea of a department store, with half the inventory building materials, the other half home and garden. The place was a complete ruin, portending a future that wasn’t obvious.
What if the world we inhabit is a place between worlds? What if the reality state we think of as home is somewhere between a state we started in and the one where we’re destined to finish? When I imagine the Midstate blaze, I think of a furious end to humanity’s ambivalent fate – we will be in one place or another when the path is finally chosen, but what that even means is no less mysterious than where we are now. Perhaps this is the nature of every ghost world, all the in-between places principally concerned with what they have in their inventory, what they can build with it. We are all searching for a way out, I say to the angels remembering us, and what I really mean is the skull – we have no way of escaping who we are, absent a mortal catastrophe. How many times that’s already happened, we might never know, but that it will happen again?
This goes without saying.

I’m not the most eloquent writer and this won’t be super detailed but here’s what I think. I know people aren’t going to like this theory but I truly believe this is occram's razor.
I believe that law enforcement is aware of what transpired or at least has more info on what he did that day. I believe Initially, there appeared to be no evidence of Andrew having a digital footprint; this information regarding his internet usage or lack there of was made public. However, as the investigation progressed I have a hunch a digital presence was discovered. I suspect that the details of this discovery are withheld to prevent false confessions/alerting involved parties of a lead.
This theoretical revelation in my line of thinking contributed to the arrest of two individuals. I believe the arrest was motivated by specific knowledge that could fundamentally alter our understanding of the case.
It bet these individuals were released due to lack of DNA evidence or a body, yet I suspect law enforcement continues to monitor the situation closely. I believe they were arrested for a reason and there is a more clear picture of what happened.
Does anyone else have a more clear explanation of why there was an arrest?
