So I think there is a sort of confusion between minimalism in architecture and living a minimalist style.
Personally I'm buying a house (96 square meters) and would like to refurbish it in a not minimalist style but on the other hand would like to live a minimalist life (sleeping on a futon/single bed, not putting too much furniture and so on).
Sometimes I notice that minimalist in architecture is the religion of the new world order of the ikeazation of life, all these non-places which make everything look like a damn museum/hospital/prison, come on life should be colourful, not imitating this sad north-european palette in a damn project somewhere in the outskirt of a huge city, just my 2 cents.

I'm totally new to cosplay and am looking to do a kind of knight's armor. (If it helps, I'm going for the angel in the album art for Symphony X's Paradise Lost; me and a few friends will be performing some songs off of it with a club on campus and I'd like to look the part). From what I've read, EVA foam is what is typically used to make armor like this. However, I live in a dorm, and I don't know if using a heat gun in there is a good idea. Hi! Im currently on my exchange, and I have a question about chores. My current placement is a double placement with a single parent, the other exchange student and two very small children. ( I am in the process of changing families because there is not enough place for me and the other student, but we have not found a new family yet.)
For the first moths in the family we did not have a chore plan, or anything structured, and there was constant miscommunication about which chores we should do. ( the parent had expectations that were not clear to us) After many of these miscommunications i suggested a household plan that we could all make together and that way it would be clear who should do wwhat.
Now to the problem: The hostparent did the plan alone, and did not ask about our opinion or preference. I wont go into full detail, but here are my chores listed:
- Walking the dog min. 30 min 3-4x per week
- emptying the dishwasher and doing the dishes 2x per week
- warming the house 2-3x per week (making afire and bringing wood in)
- feeding the chickens everyday
- bringing the trash out 2x per week
- doing my own laundry
-occasionally cooking
- cleaning our own room etc. normal stuff
The problem i'm facing is I dont find the time to do all of this, and some of the chores require for me to come to the house really early. The days that she chose for me to do the chores are really not optimal for me, and if I am not home or the other exchange student, we have to fill for eachothers chores. This has been a problem especially for my hostsibling, because i'm out of the house a lot and come home usually around 19.00.
we have tried to bring up the issues but the hostparent just says to arrange the days better (so just switch choredays between us but not lessen anything) At home I did less chores but idk if this is a normal amount?
