In my cabin I have a wood stove without dedicated external air inlet (it just draws air from the room), the problem is that my cabin is very well insulated and the chimney draft is very bad, unless I open the window, but then I can even feel cold air rushing above the floor. Also there is a kitchen hood in the same room, and when I cook something, the draft in the stove reduces greatly. I was wondering if it could help if I add a ~3 inch air vent directly below the stove (my cabin is on piers, so free airflow under the floor). I would also install an adjustible/closing valve in that vent to stop cold air when stove is not used. What are you thoughts / recomendations?

i see a lot of people with c’s and d’s that are in the range of 60-70%. my district doesn’t do letters and we just get the numbers and a fail is anything below 50%. my lowest mark rn is a 69% but it’s probably gonna get worse as the semester goes on lmfao

currently playing bits of Ling Tosite Sigure songs on guitar. I have commitment issues so I've never stuck with playing much. maybe this time is different. what's something you've been into lately?
some things I like: afternoon walks with a suspicious amount of sunscreen, sad guitar noises, hating on cheese, learning new things, volunteering, MMA, gaming, being nostalgic about 2009. kinda taking a break from gaming, but would be down to play something. otherwise, I'm mostly holding out for the next Zomboid update and SMITE 2 when it hits open beta (please don't be trash).
also open to voice chats or voice notes. say hi. or don't, but it'd be cooler if you did.

hello all! super excited to be here! i do not have a cat home with me but will be adopting one soon. i’m trying to make sure my apartment is all ready for my new friend. i just have one worry…
i haven’t had any cats in this apartment yet, and i moved in with fairly new stuff. all my rugs, couch, etc - i’m having a bit of anxiety that when i bring my cat home, he is going to pee on things. i have had cats before and i know sometimes accidents happen, but one of my cats had serious issues with peeing on rugs, so maybe i’m a little traumatized. it was frequent, and the smell just never came out (she did have kidney issues though in her older age so i don’t really blame her). but it did sort of ruin a lot of things and make me always feel pretty grossed out in my own house.
that said, what can i do to mitigate this? how can i reduce the chance that my new cat will pee on my rugs/bed/couch before it happens? do cats normally do this or have i just been scarred from past my unfortunate experience? thanks in advance :)

Mir geht diese Frage nicht aus dem Kopf. Ich habe jetzt im September meine Ausbildung als Pharmazeutisch-Technischer-Assistent begonnen und bin bis jetzt sehr zufrieden und Thematisch macht es viel Spaß. Daher überlege ich, dass ich nach Beendung der Ausbildung vielleicht mein Abitur nachholen könnte um Pharmazie zu studieren. Ich habe aber ein Problem. Ich habe vor meiner Ausbildung ein Fachabitur (Gesundheit&Soziales in NRW)angefangen(!), einmal die 11. gemacht, dann die 11. wiederholt und abgebrochen, weil es mir psychisch damit überhaupt nicht mehr gut ging. Zu dem Zeitpunkt wusste ich überhaupt nicht wohin mit mir, und hatte absolut keine Ahnung wie ich mir meine berufliche Zukunft vorstelle. Daher ist meine Frage ob das aufgrund der höchstverweildauer in der Oberstufe überhaupt noch geht? Ich persönlich sehe da nämlich leider etwas schwarz, auch wenn ich trotzdem noch etwas hoffnungsvoll bin, dass es eine Möglichkeit für mich gibt. (Neben dem Studium mit beruflicher Qualifizierung.)
Ich wollte mich damit eigentlich intensiver auseinandersetzen wenn ich in meiner Ausbildung etwas vorangeschrittener bin. Aber nun ja… mir geht die Frage nicht mehr aus dem Kopf. Ich weiß nicht ob die Frage vielleicht dumm ist, und die logische Antwort nicht einfach „nein“ ist. :D Vielleicht hat hier ja trotzdem jemand Ahnung, und könnte mir behilflich sein. Vielen Dank für eure Aufmerksamkeit. ^
