I've been working here in Dubai since 2009 and i've been travelling in different countries coz ofcourse i love to travel 🙂 last year i tried applying for a US tourist visa, and I paid 600+aed for the appointment slot which is after a year. I waited for one year and excited to go to US consulate. I printed all the documents needed as mentioned in the email. I have enough money in my account. When it's my time for interview, the officer just asked me 2 questions. 1st, what is the purpose of your trip which ofcourse i answered for tourism purposes, and 2nd how long i've been working in my current company. after answering confidently, the officer told me that unfortunately i am not eligible for the visa. He didnt even check my documents, he didnt even ask how much is my salary etc. Waiting for 1 year, he just finish it in 2 minutes. He said, i can re-apply again. No, i will never apply again and eait for another year for the appointment and waste another 600 dirhams.

I emailed the HOD of Chemistry in my school, she encouraged me to revise on Sec 4 IP Chemistry as well as H2 Chemistry content, and said I can appeal. I checked the criteria for H2 Chemistry in my school, the only criteria is that I take H2 Math which I will, there isn't any actual grade criteria for Chemistry, but students keep saying there is, and what they say isn't consistent. Do you think I'll be able to take H2 Chemistry? Whether I will thrive or not is not the issue here.

I’m building a SaaS app where users can subscribe to plans that provide monthly credits (e.g., for generating content) and access to specific functionalities. Here’s the flow I’m aiming for:
- Users subscribe to a plan via Stripe.
- Based on their plan, they receive monthly credits and access to features.
- Credits reset or roll over (depending on the plan) each month.
- Users should be able to switch plans seamlessly.
Main Question: Do I need to manually retrieve payment info for every user from Stripe each time to update the dashboard (e.g., plan details, payment status, etc.), or is there an easier integration method?
What I’ve Considered:
- Using Stripe’s webhooks for real-time updates.
- Storing subscription and plan info in Supabase and syncing it with Stripe as needed.
- Some libraries for Next.js (e.g.,

Hello guys! I am a Graduate from NUST. I completed my BS Civil Engineering in 2023. Was it worth it? Yes, Absolutely. Now then, the main topic is to discuss NET as most of the posts here are related to this. I had given NET three times before I secured my admission. I got 118, 113 and then 146 marks in NET respectively. My Matric and F Sc. Marks were above 80% so Alhamdulillah I got my admission pretty easily in Civil Engineering department. I also secured admission in IIU and PIEAS in Metallurgy Engineering (Though i regret sometimes that i should have gone to PIEAS😅 but that's life). How did I get so many marks after such disastrous performance. First two I gave with no preparation and then in third one I was free so i decided to get serious. I didn't joined any academy nor spent any money, I just studied from Dogar Brothers "ECAT" book. And because I had to go to Engineering field I focused on Math and Physics. Did Preparations from ECAT Book and revisions from my FSc. Books. Boom, I got it. Point to be noted, I just gave 2-3 hours max on preparation, In the mean time i was playing my Favourite Age of Empires 2 and Stronghold crusader😅. Last thing at last, if you don't get admission in your favourite uni don't be disheartened, maybe that was the best for you. Believe in ALLAH (S.W.T) and do what you can do. If it's good for you, It will come. I would appreciate if anyone else would like to share their story and if any aspirant wants any sort of help, I will gladly help with best of my knowledge. I never know what to say about myself on here. Too little and you risk leaving out the one thing someone might find interesting. Too much and people won't read your post. So I'll just hit some high points and hope that you give me a chance. I'm a used book seller, published writer, and slush pile reader. Hoping that soon I can write full time. The best job I ever had was Meals on Wheels. It was so nice being able to give back to the community. I have tried lots of different hobbies, especially crafty ones. I equally enjoy going on hikes or sitting on the couch watching a good movie. I don't ghost, but sometimes reddit doesn't tell me that I have a new message so you might have to message me again. Because of my writing research I have tons of random facts. Like how at one time Pepsi technically had the seventh largest navy in the world. If you want the full story, message me. I love animals. I have a black cat named Franklin and over the years have cared for just about every category of pet.
Now what I want from you. The main things I ask for are a sense of humor, I joke around a lot. Being willing to work on the conversation, all conversations experience low points and I just ask that you are willing to try to get pass it. And multiple word responses. I don't mind carrying the conversation but I do ask you give me something to work with beyond "ok". And if it isn't working out be adult enough to tell me instead of ghosting me. Ideally if the conversation goes well we can move to discord.
