Feeling discouraged . Hi! Wondering if anyone can help me out here or tell me this is normal. At my HW I was 194.2 when I started my first shot at 2.5. The first week I lost 8 or 9 pounds. I’m going to take my fourth shot of the 2.5 tomorrow night but this week I haven’t lost any weight. I’m so mindful about my protein intake and calories, and what I eat. But it’s been going up and down all week and I’m feeling discouraged and stuck! Has this happened to anyone before? After my last round of 2.5 this week I’ll start the 5 the following week.

2024.11.25 12:27 Ricola63 Is it time to take a fresh look at how Hedera moves forward?

Obviously Hedera and Hashgraph (the Technology) are deeply intertwined. There is no question about that. And I think its very fair to say that Hedera is the key driver for the high profile Hashgraph (the Technology) has in the market. AND likely the other way around as well..
But time always morphs things. And over the last twelve to twenty four months both the market in general and Hederas relationship with Hashgraph has morphed. Whilst there is no question that Hederas use of Hashgraph is deep and strong (and should remain so), but its also true to say that first by Open Sourcing and second, through Project Hiero we do need to recognise that the Hashgraph Technology itself is no longer the USP for Hedera it once was.
Therefore, IMO, we need to revisit what Hedera actually is and what it actually has in the form of USP`s.

  1. Hedera is now a fairly well known Public Network that, uniquely at the moment (as far as I am aware), utilises Hashgraph technology.
  2. The GC is a strong USP. No question. Both the 32 well known entities and the GC structure should be highly attractive to Enterprise.
  3. In the form of THA, The Hbar Foundation and DLT Science Foundation Hedera has some very powerful marketing and funding arms well established. They appear to be making progress.
  4. Hedera`s status as a leading and founding member of LFDT is an important and market leading factor. On the face of it is seems to me that it will likely attract a significant amount of devs and organisations to the Hashgraph ecosystem. Hashgraph and Hedera should benefit as a result of a lot of low cost, high quality, development on both the platform and network. This in itself will make Hedera a more attractive network to use.
  5. Hedera has four or five years of successful running, with absolutely minimal down time or problems. This is a USP, especially if compared with anyone starting on a new technology or platform. its also proven more Txns than any other network.
  6. There have been multiple PoC`s, users and uses of the Network. Some successful and some revised.
  7. There is a pipeline of potential use cases being touted as potential for the network by some significant players.
  8. Hedera appears to have established a level of `Blockchain` dominance in some of the verticals they have focussed on. eg. ESG.
  9. Hbar Tokenomics are established and have been in active use for five years. Many Tokens are already widely distributed with a large percentage of the 50bn total, currently 76.4%, are now `released`. This is a good position to be in.
  10. The Hbar community, broadly speaking, is established, strong, diverse and largely committed.
So why change anything?
Well. Personally I see Hederas focus (for historical reasons, almost an obsession) with Hashgraph as a more questionable facet now. Whilst Hashgraph is still (and for the long term foreseeable future) an important differentiator for Hedera, I don`t believe it can be Hederas reason for existence in the way it once was. Hedera has no inherent IP in Hashgraph anymore. Any third party can pick up Hashgraph technology and run with it. And they likely will, with the Hiero project promoting just such a course.
So, I`m certainly not suggesting any move away from Hashgraph, far from it, but it does seem to me its important Hedera adjusts its focus a little. There are three areas I think Hedera should focus on a little more these days.
  1. `What and where are the value adds of a Public Network and how to overcome potential or known objections to the use of a Public Network` AND especially the promotion of such. THIS IS IN FACT HEDERAS CORE PURPOSE AND THE PURPOSE OF THAT AND HBARF so they do need to become very good at breaking down objections to the use of Public Networks and the promotion of the value of using the Hedera Public Network. Whilst there is some overlap, this is subtly different from promotion of the use of Hashgraph.
  2. Perhaps a good look at additional tooling or services, even above and beyond Hashgraph, that might make Hedera further unique and stand out in the market (for example, something for AI or similar).
  3. The continuing of the Decentralisation of the network as already planned (Permissioned Nodes ->Community Nodes -> Permissionless Nodes) .
In an evolving market you constantly need to be looking at the factors at play and your core purpose. I`m concerned that to put too great a focus on the Hashgraph aspect, could leave Hedera itself with too little attention, especially as Hashgraph is now likely the easier thing for members across the ecosphere - in the foundations - The Partner Base -The Dev community) etc, etc, to promote. Its important Hedera focus on Hedera, and not so much Hashgraph per se.
Those are my thoughts anyway.

Hi guys - we're seriously considering a model y but one of the things holding us back is that we really really do not like the high floor in the model 3, and the bumpy suspension. The bumpy suspension means it's never a smooth ride, and the high floor means really bad high knee position while sitting in the back.
We're gonna do a test drive anyway, but I just wonder if anyone here felt these issues were better in the model y than the model 3?

2024.11.25 12:27 StealthCatUK Is it a good idea to keep weak laners from splitting by doing it yourself?

I have had a few games where 0/5 bots or mids refuse to go mid where it’s safer for them and let either top or jungle split during periods of no objectives. It happens sometimes that I take over bot or top to push it out safely only to be pinged by my 0/5 adc that I am taking his farm. As soon as he shows up on his own the enemy team sends literally anyone and he gets one shot. Rather than grouping mid with support and midlaner who are doing fine and can pressure T1 mid turret. I am a Rengar main so splitting is actually very good for me, if done right, forcing enemies to split up and roam around the map creates opportunities to assassinate or rotate.
