2024.11.25 15:19 Sea_Bus6701 I am not interested in coding but I am in my first year of CSE.
I am someone studying in state's top college, that too in CSE. I actually took CSE just based on my rank, I had no programming experience before and neither I was intrested in coding before joining this college. I actually wanted to go for a core engineering field (ECE or Mechanical) in some Tier-1 college when I was preparing for JEE. But unfortunately my rank was not great to land me in any of the the Tier 1 colleges(97%ile in JEE mains) and people suggested me not to go for any other branch other than CSE in state colleges. Now 2months after the sem has started I find Coding absolutely un-intresting. I feel it is just a subject which I have to do to pass my exams and is not something which I can do for my entire life meanwhile at the same time we have a subject of electronics which I find very fascinating. I was very intrested in physics throughout my JEE time. People only think about the job oppurtunities in ECE after graduation but no one talks about the real passion and intrest for learning such a subject. I thought of branch change in the same college. I talked to many people and everyone called me insane but doing something for my entire life which I am not even intrested right now, is that sane? I have talked to college management and they have straight away denied the possibility of branch change. Another possibility is I can shift my college in 2nd year but I cannot change my branch in other college. The only option left and which is very risky is dropping out of the college and reserving the seat for next year and preparing for JEE and going for ECE in some better college or in the same college, which I feel is very difficult at this point because I lost touch of Maths,Physics and Chemistry completely. I feel I am struck at some place and I am not even able to move anywhere. I need your POV and suggestions.

This is defo a stupid question but is it possible to get tsw from only using Hydrocortisone for a week😭. I’ve had eczema for years but I’ve never properly treated it. Used Hydrocortisone for about 8 days a week or 2 ago and since then it has gotten far worse than it ever has been. It is very red and painful and has also spread to different parts of my body including my face. Is this likely just a bad flair up with the timing being a coincidence?

I'll try and keep this as succinct as possible while providing as much context as possible as neutrally as I can be.
I (24M) been seeing this girl (23F) for a few months, once to twice a week unless smth is up along with texting basically every day updating on each others lives. We didn't put a label on things but everything had been going really well. We really get along etc
One day she told me she knows we hadn't put a label so wants to address things and says she wants to keep things casual. This works for me because I'm also not currently ready for a relationship. She then opened up to me and explained that it has to do with a horrible relationship with her mother and it's hard for her to form attachment and give emotional bandwidth atm. We then proceed to have possibly the best weekend so far tgt and things look to be going really well.
Fast forward a week we still talk every day but she's really toned down her texts and the content of the conversations have gone south. We hadn't seen each other. This coincided with her having struggles at work along with her struggles in her performances in her second job as a musician. She also got sick at one point.
Now I really am not looking for anything, but I was genuinely worried for her as a person throughout as it seemed like she might be spiraling. So I would often msg her quite frequently if everything was ok and there was anything I could do to help etc. I offered to do this and that etc. She brushed away all that. Which ofc she's entitled to do but it made me more worried.
One day while she was sick I messaged her (mistakenly) if everything was okay between us and that she's been off recently and she exploded saying she's sick what do i expect and sent a second message saying she can't give me what i'm supposedly looking for (emotional connection), that these questions feel constant, my last msg was horrible timing and it's better if we become friends.
Now I'm totally ok with someone no longer feeling it bc this is just life and I don't like 'convincing' someone to continue talking to me but in this case I felt it was a case of a genuine misunderstanding so I asked her if we could call to talk things though. She agreed and called but a few minutes in she broke down in tears sobbing and cried 'i'm sick' and then just hung up.
She's since texted me asking to give her space and that she will catch me in a few days when she's better. I ofc obliged as I was quite alarmed at her breakdown and did not want to further affect her. So we've had no contact since.
It's been about a week of radio silence. And I guess my question is:
- Did I do something wrong? I assume yes bc I failed to observe her signs and boundaries and pushed too much. But is there anything else?
- am I being ghosted? Or is this normal
- at what point do I assume I'm being ghosted and
- Is there anything I should do other than wait / move on? Assuming I am ghosted should I never send a message to apologise or anything unless she makes the initiative.
