2024.11.25 15:21 ilivlife Planer blade question: replace, upgrade, buy a new tool?
I have a DeWalt 734 planer and it works okay, but I recently planted the head off of a screw which destroyed the knife blades. I did not use it much for years but have been using it more to do my layered bowls/jars. Do I replace the knife blades, do I upgrade to a helical head or do I buy a whole new planer ($500 budget)?

I got Fortnite from a friend and verified it then I tried to launch it the easy anti-cheat worked and started loading and then said initializing and then said waiting for the game and making my PC freeze I tried a couple of solutions like installing direct x12 and x also checked my drivers which is also my processor ( and ryzen 5 5600g) and then I tried accessing firewall to the folder name (FortniteClient-Win64-Shipping_EAC_EOS and, FortniteClient-Win64-Shipping) but then also nothing happens until I tried in compatibility mode to make the folder FortniteClient-Win64-Shipping_EAC_EOS run as administrator it doesn't load the anti-cheat or say to me initializing doesn't launch the game I tried to launch it further om epic launcher and it always says running for a sec and then says launch ( again and AGAIN ) but if I remove the administrator from the folder the first problem which freezes my PC comes back so what should I do?

2024.11.25 15:21 DrAsom Advice dealing with recent avoidant "breakup"
Hey yall,
I only recently fully learned about the various attachment styles, and after specifically reading about avoidant attachment, it described the girl I had been seeing to a tee.
From signs of emotional distance, taking every opportunity to reduce their time spent with me, putting in very little effort for any reason even if they would've been able to, constantly talking about they're letting down my expectations even though I never stated any such expectations (beyond just some level of reciprocal effort), their flightiness for any emotionally loaded topic, and so on. So many signs looking back now.
Side note, i think I border on being an anxious attachment, if not being one fully. I've only come to this realization after learning about attachment styles. So yay, two totally incompatible attachments...
Around a week ago, we got in a fight, mainly started by me, for another continuation of the pattern of her lack of effort into anything related to me. And honestly I was just tired and over the whole thing. So much had happened between us, that I don't wanna reopen all those wounds and talk about the history.
Needless, to say things have been very icy between us and I've been NC since the fight, and potentially forever, since I'm only interested if she takes some accountability. However, going off of what I've read about avoidants, the chance of that happening is close to nil.
At this point I'm contemplating sending them one last message to try close the chapter on us on a positive note maybe. I'm also considering if in that message I should point out her avoidant style in the hopes that she'll work on it herself and find happiness down the road.
I still care for her a lot, even if maybe I shouldn't, but feelings are paradoxical like that I suppose. I don't want her to waste her life being unable to connect with people on a deeper level, and while I can't fix her issues, I'm wondering if me pointing it out to her will be enough of a wake up call for her to start working on herself.
I'm looking for any advice on how to proceed, thanks yall

I’m renting in TN. There’s a raccoon in my wall. There’s been a hole in my wall since I moved in. I think it’s for some kind of access for plumbing. It’s a white square that fits into the drywall and it opens up to pipes with levers right in the middle of the hole. The white square things not secure or locked though and the raccoon can push it open and I saw it do it. I called for emergency maintenance yesterday, they said they would come last night or first thing this morning. I called again this morning and they said no vender has accepted the work order but it’s listed as high priority and there’s no real timeline for when they’re coming, just that they’ll email me to schedule when a vender accepts the order. They’re treating it like a normal maintenance request when I keep telling them it’s an emergency and the raccoon can come into my house through a hole in my wall. The hole is in my bedroom and I had to barricade it and lock me cats out and move their litter box out and they’re stressed out and I’m stressed out but I don’t know what my rights are here. Does anyone know how I could speed this up?

I want to say that I felt so blindsided but honestly I saw it coming. In the time that we lived together, he would make an effort to show up for the relationship but gradually I noticed that I felt like I was nagging him. He would be online gaming every chance he got, he didn’t want to go out much on dates, intimacy dwindled and he was just becoming a different person. I still showed up and tried my best. I cleaned the house, I cooked the meals, I paid the bills (because he was waiting to start a new job), I planned the dates, everything. He had to move to a new apartment because the new job screwed him on location but things got worse for us.
I ended up in the hospital and he didn’t come because “it wasn’t a big deal”. He would go hours without checking in. He was still online gaming and I honestly felt even more neglected but I still trekked on in hopes that it was just a phase and when he gets back financial confidence that it will all change. He FaceTimed me and told me that he realized that he loved being alone since moving into the new apartment and he wants a divorce. He told me that he is no longer in love with me and has no romantic feelings towards me. I felt broken, I plead, I tried to reason with him but he was firm in wanting a divorce.
I wish I could turn off my emotions and be as nonchalant but I find myself going into such a deep depression, blaming myself, thinking about what I could’ve done different, pretending that he died instead of simply discarding me, tried to see him as unattractive or find ways to get “the ick” from him but all I can think about is the man who I thought chose me, the man who I thought loved me and wanted to be with, does not.
How do I get over this? How do I get over him? How do I move on?
