So this dog in my neighborhood is tied to a pulley system 24/7. She is the sweetest dog but I feel so sorry for her. She has never moved from this one spot since I first met her and looks dirty and covered in fleas. When it rains she just sits on the wet muddy floor which is why I start to get so worried when weather gets cold. She has a dog house but won’t go in it and I have never seen her owners come out to her once. She doesn’t even bark anymore. I have tried speaking to the owners and offering to purchase her From them and I have contacted animal control several times. They will not do anything because she is on a pulley system. However I thought it was illegal to tie your dog up in the state of California. What can I do to help this poor dog?

Bonjour à tous, premier post auprès de la communauté et j'espère des conseils pour m'aider face à ce problème qui va finir par me rendre chèvre... En 2020 j'ai acheté un appartement qui a été renové par une entreprise. Celle-ci a installé entre autre plusieurs fenêtres. Je me suis aperçu au bout d'un certain temps (bien en location) qu'il y avait des problèmes de sifflement strident et ceci sur 2 fenêtres l'une en face de l'autre (une côté cuisine et l'autre côté salon). J'ai appelé l'entrepreneur qui a renvoyé un menuisier par 2 fois pour régler les fenêtres en faisant en sorte de les plaquer contre le cadre et ils ont changé des gâches de fenêtres. Résultat : aucune amélioration voire j'ai l'impression que ça empire avec le temps. Je vous ai fait une vidéo pour illustrer le problème. Il n'y avait que des rafales de 30 km/h mais ça commence déjà à bien monter dans les tours. Dès que j'appuie sur le dormant le bruit s'atténue bien. Aujourd'hui avec des rafales du sud à 100 km/h on a l'impression d'être sur un circuit de formule 1... Avez-vous des idées de ce qu'il doit être fait par l'entrepreneur ? Merci d'avance pour votre aide.

Hello can anybody help me find this specific horror puzzle video game on mobile? I remember playing it on my friend's i-pad.
It was about a girl with long black hair, dead eyes, white clothes and is going through like depressing things in life. Like the entire video game is black and white, and I remember in this one level the girl was holding a cigarette, standing by the gas station; if you use the cigarette wrong the station explodes.
There was this other level where she's watching the ring and sadako crawls out of the tv and the only way to solve that level is by clicking her legs to raise them so sadako just passes through the bottom on the chair.
Please help me find this, if it helps the timing of the year is like 2013-2015

Hi all,
I’ve just removed some old floor tiles in my house, but now I’m left with a layer of tile glue (thinset, I think?) stuck to the floor. Do I need to remove all of it before doing anything else? Or can I just level over it?
If I need to remove it, what’s the best way to do that? And after it’s gone, what should I use to make the floor flat and ready for new tiles or other flooring?

Can anyone suggest some good tools to do this? I just want to see how my ASINs rank over a given set of search terms, over time. Ideally displayed on a simple graph.
This is a feature of a lot of larger products (e.g SellerApp) but outside of the free trial I'd have to pay 99 USD / month ! Seems excessive. I just want simple and affordable.

Thanks to this group, my last sip of alcohol was in July and I am still going strong. My drinking had gotten concerning (a few drinks every night + irritable without alcohol) but I hadn’t suffered any “rock bottom” moments. Simply wanted to cut the habit before it became worse.
The advice I need is for a sibling. I am recognizing the same patterns in them but I believe it’s gotten worse than what I experienced personally. Their spouse has even mentioned their concern to both my mother and I recently.
I’m feel like I should say something to them about their alcohol use when I see them at Thanksgiving. I don’t, however, want to come off as “dramatic” since I no longer drink and push them further away or annoy them to where they wont confide in me.
Any tips for this convo?

Thanksgiving week. Job site is leaving Friday as an “optional day” for work. (We work off the rolling 40.) Because of this OT will kick in after 24 hours after working Monday-Wed. BUT if you wanted to come in on Friday OT wouldn’t start until after 32 hours?? How does this even make sense? It’s legit punishing guys who would be willing to work Friday.
Working 10’s so if I worked Monday-Wed I’d walk away with 6 hours OT, but if I put in another 10, I would walk away with only 8?
Getting ahold of the hall to see the legality of all this, but have any of you ever dealt with shenanigans like this?

Hello everyone, as the question asks, am I able to apply for MIT even after taking a gap year?
I must note that I would be seen as a an international student since I'm not form the USA, but from Serbia.
My grades are mostly A's except for a rough patch in my freshman year of high school.
However, I was also wondering, do I need to take the SAT or ACT for my application? I saw that SAT and ACT are not necessary for the Bachelor of Science in Architecture (Coure 4), for international students but is there anything else that I need to have in order to apply or it that it?
Also, I'm a bit confused about the deadline of the admissions. Is it correct that regular admissions starts December 4th and end January 6th? And would the application in that period of time (2024-2025 application) mean that I would potentially start the school year on campus as of fall 2025?
And one more question, what is a transcript that they are requesting? Since I have finished high school is it just necessary for me to send in my high school grades and diploma? And do I have to translate my degrees as well? Is a verified copy enough or is there something more?
Any suggestions and comments are welcome so don't shy away from criticism. Experience for other international students are also welcome 😊
