2024.11.25 17:22 Splaat_ S&S LISA Help - did I rush into it?
I recently turned 20 and began thinking about my finances for my future. I had £4k from my Child Trust Fund in a Fixed ISA for 18 months as I wasn't that fussed about investing or a LISA. However, upon regaining access to the money recently, I deceided to open a LISA. Moneybox was the provider my girlfriend was using for hers, so I opened a Cash LISA, putting in £2k . However, after reading up online I realised I probably should have made it a Stocks and Shares LISA instead, as I have no plans to buy a house anytime soon (for at least 5 years), due to university.
I changed my Moneybox Cash LISA to a S&S LISA, but I've now also read that Moneybox aren't great for S&S LISAs because of the high fees. I'm considering moving the LISA to Dodl as its got lower fees. I would potentially want to transfer the LISA back to a Moneybox Cash LISA in the future (when I'm about to purchase a house) but apparently you can't leave and then go back to Moneybox.
I'm still within the 30 day grace period of opening my LISA, so I'm wondering if it's possible to close my current LISA with Moneybox, reopen one with Dodl, leaving the door open for me to transfer the LISA to Moneybox in the future. And also, if I were to close the Moneybox LISA, its value has gone up by £50 already so would I get that back too, or just the money that I've depoisited.
Any help or guidance would be appreciated, I fear that I've rushed into this a bit due to the excitement of actually putting my money to use rather than just having it sat in a savings account.

Awhile ago I was looking for information on herbs I could grow to make my own tea. I found (on reddit) an old website that was a mirror of a very primitive angelfire-type website (very basic html, basically just a webpage of links).
It contained old papers (in pdf form) people put out detailing information obtained from Native American tribes from the early settlers. It was soo interesting to me and it’s killing me I can’t find it in my history! I think because I opened it through the app?
Does anyone know what I’m talking about out?

2024.11.25 17:22 jwintyo What are your favorite Siri Shortcuts for Things 3?
I'm trying to setup a Siri Shortcut to easily and quickly add a To-Do while on the run, that way I don't have to open the app and I can do it from the lock screen.
Currently I'm running into an issue (and maybe this is just how it works) but when I run my shortcut and add all of the information it will open the Things app. I wish it could just send the To-Do without opening the app and requiring me to hit enter or confirm the To-Do. Similar to what you can do with the Apple Reminders app.
Anyway it got me wondering, what Siri Shortcuts do you use and do you have a good way of creating a To-Do on the go without opening the app?

2024.11.25 17:22 Silly-Campaign-2538 Lifts vs suspension warranty
I was told by the service department that getting a 2" lift will void the suspension warranty. My 24 xpro didn't have any of the recall issues. And I want to lift it a little, but if something happens later on down the line and I have to bring it in. I still want that warranty lol. Is there any way to maneuver around this? Or are suspension issues not really that big of a deal, or is it something that's bound to happen? Is the lift something that can be "taken off" before I take the car in, or will it be obvious that the suspension issues are happening because of this 2" lift?

Hey dog pals, i need some help.
1 GSD female is 7 1 GSD x Malanois is 3 instigator
Family of 4 ( 3 female, 1 male is my dad)
my dad has become disabled this year due to workplace injury Back in April. Priorities shifted, family was neglectful i admit bec my dads life was on the line as everyone was tending to my Dads health the best we could.
This FIRST change spiked anxiety in my youngest female, and she got quite aggressive toward my other female, ending up in a fight. Did NOT happen inside the house.
Inside, They lay together in bed, they sniff and interact with eachother.
It happened OUTSIDE in the fenced in yard. The two females were outside together, one was sniffing a garbage bag of compost, and the youngest flipped instigating a fight that ended up in me getting pretty beaten up. My elder female had a scratched ear, that my youngest tried to grab onto.
The vet chalked the behaviour switch to severe separation anxiety, with my dad being crippled, new equipment in the house, walkers, wheelchairs taking up so much space. My 3yr old gsd was anxious, so we set up her crate again to provide that safe space when she is overwhelmed. Also got her white nose box to help, it relaxes her.
and we were given great tips for Reward system training.
That was the first time they fought. past 2 years were perfect!
We had the youngest female vet checked, tests done, blood work, totally ruled out any health causes, infections, etc. They are both in perfect health. Nothing wrong with my 3yr old female.
Since the first fight we have made sure to keep separated whilst eating, only one goes out at a time, etc. To respect eachother space whilst outside.
Reward system was great for 2 to 3 months, then my 3yr old female started hiding her treats around the house, including in shoes, vents, toy bin. Which ofc made her start resource guarding, growling at her older sibling dog. We stopped the reward training, and spoke to vet again about possible behaviour therapy to retrain her all over again.
Today, (November) unprovoked, another fight between my two females happened. 😞 My Dad is no longer with us at the house, as he is in hospital getting care he requires. He has been gone since July.
This was the SECOND change, within 8 months that has occurred. This time she jumped the gate, a baby gate i use that allows 1 of them out at a time. She typically respected the gate but not today. She jumped over it and immediately went for my older female. Ending up with an injured ear, all scratched up. She is at vet for antibiotics to prevent infection. i have the 3yr separated in her crate, behind closed door.
My dad has been hospital ridden since July. He is no longer here. Things have been tense in the house as everyone's adjusting and feeling quite a lot of mixed emotions. Sadness, anger, confusion. My youngest female will OBSESSIVELY sniff my dads items that we bring home from the hospital, like his blanket to wash here, changes of clothing, etc. My 3yr dog will consistently sniff, obsessive amount, To the point she will pull his items that he has worn, out of the bag and drag them to lay on them.
I've been in touch with trainers about possible boarding/kennel training for full reset.
The fights btwn the 2 female have always been OUTSIDE, and aimed toward the ears of my elder female. My elder female did get scratched up today and is at the vet to ensure she's OK.
I'm looking for solutions.
I'm not sure if this is due to these big changes that she has not caught up with since my dad became disabled, AND then months later he left house permanently. ?
If possible behaviouralist could help? if so, any recommendations for niagara region?
Or if it's time to rehome?
This is hard bec we have tried EVERYTHING we can think of, from taking away possible triggers (resource guarding, toys, food, separating, focus of individual attention, extra exercise outside for hours, re integrated crate training, took away reward system to prevent resource guarding, etc)
They grew up together. The first 2 years were amazing, but as my female turned 3 she became quite pushy, abrasive. We tried to solve it with vet reconnection by reward system but it brought unwanted resource guarding.
She IS a covid pup, meaning she was rescued from pup mill at 9 or 10 weeks, i took her and had 2 months of training classes booked at 12 weeks, but classes were canceled due to covid 19. i tried to do social work with her, take her for car rides, walking she's so good on a leash. But year 3 was like everything switched.
She's become more aggressive even on walks, now starting to not listen, it's like her personality switched after my dad left the house.
I've tried to build that confidence in her again by taking her somewhere less busy, and slowly bringing her toward city again. Using muzzles, keeping stress low for her, playing with her more, etc.
in last 2 weeks She's slowly stopped connecting with my elder female, which we assumed was due to her UTI. The stress she was in pain, meds make her feel groggy. After 5 days of meds, she didn't change, and continued to not really interact with elder female. This all happened weeks before the fight today.
That UTI was cleared up at end of October. She was re tested and everything was clear.
Looking for any advice, thank you. ❤️

They’ve NEVER gotten it right. It probably actually looked better in some of the earlier 2K games. It took them a long time but they finally got Andre down. Jake and Razor’s faces look way older than the era they’re trying to represent. The face likeness is there but the age likeness is not. They need to fix those two as well.
They NAILED Curt Hennig this year. I didn’t think they’d be able to improve on the 2K16 model but they did. The 2K16 model represented 1991 while the 2K24 represents 1993 but they pretty much nailed both with the 2K24 one being even better minus the entrance motions. 2K16-2K19 was still better there. That’s an easy fix though. Just switch the entrance to the old one.
Just a couple things because I like discussion.

2024.11.25 17:22 Apprehensive_Type701 The problem with powerlifting programs
Publicly available, made for the masses, to be exact.
Most of these programs do not utilize phase potentiation well. While you can find good peaking programs, there are hardly any hypertrophy or strength block programs that are made just for that. Vast majority is just general strength programs that include pretty much all phases (Hypertrophy, strength, peaking) in a very short time, like 6-12 weeks. In that time a lifter cannot reap the benefits of each phase. Even worse, some programs does not have any "phasing" at all, which is sort of a mix of all phases at once which means if a lifter is not knowledgeable enough, he or she can run pretty much similar programs all year round and wonder why their progress is stalling. The point is that phases, blocks are important, and has its own unique properties, and "premade" programs rarely give that, with an exception of peaking programs.
What are your thoughts on this? Let's have a discussion!

Am I missing something? I love the motivation etc with the treadmill sessions but I'd like to do say a 5k and have somebody talk and run along with me.
Does it exist? Or for that I simply need to record it as an indoor run with nothing to watch and run along with?
