Hi there! New to this forum but not new to the world of IVF. I go in for my beta tomorrow on day 13p5dt. I know people sometimes go in sooner (I did for my last IVF pregnancy) but my new clinic likes to wait a full two weeks. (This time they pushed it up a day for the holiday). But that means that the number they’re hoping to see is going to be different than their usual, right? Is there a chart or anything that clinics use to determine healthy HCG numbers based on the day they actually do the beta? I hope this doesn’t sound nuts but I had a bad dream that my beta number was “lower than we like to see” and it has left me worried. Any insight would be appreciated, thanks!

I'm 42,male ,i live in the eastern USA, tend to be more a night person, LGTBQ+ friendly (even if not a member myself). I'm child free but love my furkids. I'm a extrovert with not terribly many people to talk to regularly. ENM/Poly people friendly(i recently learned apparently some are hesitant sharing that cause of stigma) I tend to be very passionate and yammery when I get kicked off talking with the right people especially when bored at work. I've tried many times to try to message people on here looking to chat and almost never get a reply(not sure why tbh but have thoughts on it) so I mostly just post anymore and have met fine folks that way. Also a Leo for those into such things!
My Interests - Gaming,D&D, reading, anime, the paranormal, beer,food, history, talking to new folks and generally connecting.
What I'm looking for- 18+ (obv), atleast a few common interests, a person able to hold a convo cause I'm not trying to be the only one holding things up lol, being willing to use Discord(I will not download nor do I use any other app, sorry) if we get along cause reddit app is a potato. People not annoyed by "emoting" in * * early 2000s style, cause honestly so much context and nuance is lost in cold hard text and i do it alot. Also genuine regular convo and emotional connection. We all get busy and life happens, but also regular daily convo would be amazing, to find that "spark" of deep connection that just feels right and comfortable. I've met some incredible folks on Reddit, but took alot of time and talking haha. Lastly if you're not feeling the convo or don't think I'm what you're looking for then just tell me.

2024.11.25 18:21 jumpbh Betting website suspended my account and asking for bank statements - need advice
Skybet have suspended my account and are asking me to submit a full month's bank statement for the month where I deposited into the betting account. The issue is that I had an incoming transaction on the same day as the day I deposited for the exact same amount that i deposited into the betting account so it would look like that money was then used to fund the account. My friend has had the same issue with skybet, sp he submitted the bank statement they asked for. They gave him his initial deposit back but refused to pay out his winnings. The reason they gave for not paying out was that his deposit was evidently funded by a third party which goes against their terms and conditions. Does anyone have any experience dealing with this? Is there any way I can feasibly get them to pay out my winnings without sending in a bank statement? Any help would be hugely appreciated, TIA

I've had a lot of random symptoms for many years that couldn't be explained by other disorders/diagnoses I have. Currently, when I have a histamine flare it's looking like lots of skin itching, frequent urination, heartburn at night. I also have a ton of anxiety, doom, and body aches and pains. I'm doing my best to lower histamine with DAO enzyme, daily nettle tea, quercetin and low histamine diet during the week. I'm finding it hard, and was curious if anyone relates to these symptoms/flare ups and what they're doing to get to the root cause.
For context, I'm working with a naturopath and I'm actually a naturopath too lol

2024.11.25 18:21 d_sky850 Two rounds of antibiotics, still having symptoms
24yo, F. Story started about 5 months ago. The next day after sleeping with a new partner I felt intense burning while urinating for the first time in my life. Went to see a doctor, was misdiagnosed with UTI, took the treatment they gave me but the pain was getting worse and worse until I ended up having this constant burning sensation all day long alongside with vaginal irritation. Symptoms went away after a week, but a couple of months after they returned. In September I had a vaginal culture done and tested positive for Ureaplasma Urealyticum. Urinalysis and urine culture came back negative. Took 10 days of doxy and had a second vaginal culture, which came back negative for Ureaplasma. I then consulted a Urologist who gave me a second round of treatment with moxifloxacin (10 days), because he wanted to make sure that the infection would be adequately cleared. However, despite all treatments I've had, including a bunch of probiotics and natural supplements, symptoms still persist.
So now it's late November and since September I've been having all the following: - constant burning sensation in the urethra - burning while urinating - cloudy & frothy urine - external and internal burning that comes and goes (located in the lower abdomen, lower back, external genitalia etc) - whitish vaginal discharge with no smell
It's such a struggle to deal with! I know I should be patient and wait to see what the PCR test will show in 1.5-2 months from now, but right now I'm making crazy thoughts about all this. I'm afraid my whole life is going to be like this and that all these lingering symptoms will be accompanying me forever. I hate thinking that I'll be enjoying my everyday activities less and that I'll always be under pain, no matter what I do. I really want to enjoy life and be safe and symptom-free in my next relationship. I also want to have kids one day and I can't help thinking about miscarriages / unsuccessful pregnancies / ureaplasma coming back.
Please share your stories and thoughts - for how long have you been having lingering symptoms? Has anyone managed to fully get rid of them? Did you manage to get pregnant / have kids after treating a symptomatic urraplasma infection?

The most difficult thing about deciding between taking the GRE and the GMAT is figuring out which one is going to showcase your abilities most clearly.
The best way to make that decision is to think carefully about what each test is going to assess, and figuring out which will best highlight your skills. Similar to when you graduated high school and your guidance counselor asked you if you wanted to take the SAT or the ACT, it really depends on your strengths.
Do you need to take both tests?
Not these days.
It used to be the standard for everyone going to business school to take the GMAT, but in the last few years higher education institutions have moved to using either test for entrance qualifications.
It really is worth your time to look at both tests closely to figure out where you can get the most bang for your buck because test prep programs for either one can be expensive, especially when you're already saving money for grad school.
How do you decide between the GRE and GMAT? Some Advice!
You can take an online practice test for both.
A common piece of advice is to take an online practice test for each. You can find a ton of them for free. This will allow you to establish your baseline and decide if there is one that clearly suits your abilities over the other. However, if you already have a good idea about your academic strengths, I would say just choose one to start with to see if you can get near a score that will get you admitted into your program of choice. So which do you choose?
Evaluate your strengths first.
If complex math, problem solving and interpreting data is your strength, then the GMAT is going to be your best option because you won't get to demonstrate those skills on the GRE.
This is also a good option if you feel like your undergrad math courses weren't particularly challenging, your GPA wasn’t that great, or you're going to be applying to a graduate program in, say, finance. A good GMAT score will help supplement not-so-stellar college math credits or low grades.
If you are prone to making simple math mistakes because you read the problem too quickly or you have a problem sometimes with carelessness, the GRE is going to penalize you much more heavily for that. Stick with the GMAT.
On the other hand, If you have better-than- average verbal abilities, including a large vocabulary built on academic reading, then the GRE is the right option. You're not going to get a chance to show that on the GMAT.
If you have test taking anxiety, try the GRE. If you've ever studied for the LSAT or even have an undergrad degree in one of the liberal arts, you'll find the verbal part of the GRE to be pretty familiar with high stakes tests you’ve taken in the past. What about the quantitative reasoning portion? Don’t get me wrong, the GRE math section is tough and thorough, but a lot of testers believe that the questions on the GRE are much more straightforward, which benefits people who might have some test anxiety or who constantly question or second guess themselves about their test answers.
Another big plus to taking the GRE? Just because you're thinking business school now doesn't mean that that will be your mindset a year from now, and your GRE scores are good for 5 years.
My students who have taken the GRE have expressed what a relief it was not to have to complete yet another test prep when they switched majors because the GRE is transferable to nearly all graduate programs.
How do you think you'll score on both tests?
The last thing to consider is how easily you feel you improve your score on each test. Assuming that you take a baseline test and you don't get the scores you want, which one do you think will be the easiest for you to study for and improve on?
If you haven't read academic literature with complex vocabulary in several years, developing that quickly might be a struggle (so you might want to avoid the GRE). Just memorizing vocabulary words is not going to get you the score you need on the GRE because it’s not uncommon for questions to focus on the 2nd or even 3rd meaning of a word.
Both the GRE and GMAT present difficult mathematical challenges, but if you’ve never been particularly good with complex math and reasoning, and you don’t think you can get up to the level you need to be with some targeted tutoring, then avoid the GMAT.
So, which test will you take GRE vs GMAT?
In the end, there really isn't a wrong answer for which of these two tests to take. You have to know yourself, and you need to have a pretty good idea of what you want your graduate path to look like.
Neither test is easy, and both will require a lot of prep work and studying.
If you’ve got a knack for critical thinking and problem solving wrapped up in higher level math skills, then the GMAT will help admissions counselors see that you’re the right fit.
On the other hand, if you are a wordsmith and can read and comprehend quickly, then the GRE is the test to take.
