In 1943, during the second world war, a Canadian pilot by the name of Don Franko crash landed on the tiny island in Orkney, Scotland called Auskerry. His navigation system was broken, his fuel was running out and it was dreadful weather. In the dark, with nothing to guide him except for the white outline of waves crashing on the cliffs of the island, Don guided his plane down - narrowing missing the actual cliffs as he came in as it was impossible to judge the grass level above the rock. He survived, and in so doing he inadvertently started an incredible bond between two families many decades later. I wanted to help preserve some of the island's history for generations to come by creating this record on film, and I hope you enjoy! This is part two of the visit to the island by county archaeologist of the Orkney Islands, Paul Sharman.

I'm in a fb group for organic lifestyle mamas, and while yes there's some good stuff in there, every couple days somebody starts going off about onions in socks and vaping colloidal silver. These days I just sit back and cherry pick what is helpful for me, but the level of crazy is getting to me today. Recently a friend was crusading against lab-created baking soda, because apparently using heat to make it changes it. I asked if that meant it was no longer sodium bicarbonate and she insisted no it is still baking soda but now it's changed and is bad. Like come on, this is middle school chemistry.
I have a ton of empathy for people trying to figure it out on their own, we're all sick of being fed BS from big companies and industries. Still.
Anyway, I'd like to invite anyone else who wants to rant about how batshit the alternative wellness scene is sometimes.

Help picking first eyepieces Recently bought myself an apertura AD12 that came with a plossl 9mm, 30mm superview, and x2 barlow. I'm still fairly new but am ready for 1 or 2 new, good eyepieces. Budget isn't a huge concern but I'm not looking for anything crazy expensive. I've heard that the baader morpheus line are all excellent EPs. So I was thinking maybe the 9mm and 17.5mm but not sure if I can get something of the same quality for cheaper. Basically I'm not sure which mm to go with and which brand. I've heard astrotech is good and ofc televue. Also I'm sure this is a repeat question you guys see all the time, so sorry in advance.

Nozzle NTC Abnormal after Failed Print ripped out Printer head So, a particularly spectacular print failure pulled the printer nozzle right out of the printer. I got a new printer nozzle, but even now the printer says "Nozzle NTC Abnormal" after replacing it. Right after turning on the printer, the bed reads room temperature, while the nozzle reads 500° C, even though it is cold to the touch.
Any ideas?

What I mean by this question, is whether you can sail a ship from the Bay of Crabs throught Trident all the way up to Riverrun or even Fairmarket.
THis question may sound silly, since Ironborn sailed the the Trident during the reign of Hoares, but I am still confused about two things.
First, what the maximum size of the ship that could sail throught the Trident and could it pass throught the Widow's Ford.
THe last question is more important to me to be honest because from my understanding Widow's Ford is a sandbank (I don't know if i'm using a right word for that, English isn't my first language) and from what I understand no ship could had sailed through that, they would just get stuck. In my understanding at least.

I honestly don't know if I'm the asshole and I'm scared this might be controlling. I (F21) am dating my bf (M22) for 11 months now. I used to date one of his friends who he doesn't really see anymore, but recently they decided that they wanna meet up again. This makes me really uncomfortable for a couple of reasons. We didn't have the best break up. After we broke up I found out about a lot of hurtfull things, but also some things that happened in the relationship that honestly make me hate him. I found out he had been talking about wanting to sleep with one of our female friends for months before we broke up. He also showed a private picture of me to a group and he just wasn't that kind to me. He lied about a lot and said hurtfull things about me to others, but that's not really what this is about. In our relationship we had talked about something sexual in the bedroom. I had been very clear that this was something I wouldn't just wanna do. To me that is a clear boundery, but when I was black out drunk he decided to do it anyways. The moment I realized what was happening I stopped it and pretty much cried myself to sleep. I felt violated en hurt. The morning after he made fun of me for what happened. This is something I haven't let go and at this point i'ts been years. This is not the only thing he did while I was drunk. He secretly filmed me during sex and only told me months later. He saw I was getting upset and told me not to be a crybaby 'cause he had deleted it anyways 'cause it did't look good. These are the main things that bother me. In my eyes he is a bad person and I don't ever wanna hear about or see him again. I don't want my boyfriend to go out of respect and support for me. My boyfriend doesn't understand this and is just sad it makes me uncomfortable. To him it's different 'cause my ex isn't the one hosting. I don't think this makes a difference. I't gonna be a group of like 5 people. In my eyes he is going there as a friend and that hurts my feelings. I don't know if I'm overreacting though. I hope this is enough of an explanation. I don't really know how this works yet. So AITA for not wanting him to go?

I could be mistaken. I was like 6 years old… but he came over to “hang out,” I think they were drinking but idk, and then I laid down for a nap. Next thing I knew I woke up and my mom’s boom box is blaring in her bedroom which means she’s in there fuckin… I knock on her door and she takes forever to come to the door. Fast forward 13 years… I go home to visit my mom and grandma who are in the kitchen arguing. My mom is crying doing the dishes and my grandma is asking her “Did you do it with him Julie??” I guess one of my cousins told their parents and the word got out.
But to rewind real quick.. a few years after that happened he found God and came over to our house to preach to us. It was awkward for everyone. My grandma was like “Yeah…. I already know God, but welcome to the club.” And my mom was like “Yeah… you’re preaching to the choir” but looked simultaneously worried for his mental health. I think he thought he was talking to Mary Magdalene lol. He must’ve said to himself “I know a whore in town I can preach to” and went straight to Julie’s house.
PS. Maybe I changed the names in this story. Maybe I didn’t. 🤷🏻‍♂️
