2024.11.26 01:00 Sidd_ag Help Me Organize My Start

I've spent a lot of time researching, and I think I have a general idea of the topics to study to professionalize myself in this field. However, I'd love to hear from people who really know about the subject. The topics I currently have in mind (not in any particular order) are:

  1. Web Development (A bit of frontend and a bit of backend). Mainly for everything related to web security.
  2. Networks. Knowledge about networks is essential in the world of cybersecurity. I might study this first, even before web development.
  3. Cryptography. I'm studying Electronic Engineering, so I have some math foundations, although I'm not sure if they're advanced enough for this area of mathematics, but I'll eventually get there.
  4. Scripting. This is where I feel the most lost. I understand that scripts are usually written in Bash and Python, but I think other languages are used too. I'd like to learn more about this.
  5. Forensics. The Blue Team world is what I know the least about. Any input on this area (not technical knowledge but the topics I should study that fall under the Blue Team scope) would be appreciated.
  6. Malware Analysis. I don't know much about this either, but when the time comes to study it, I plan to dive deep into it.
  7. Web Scraping. I understand that web scraping is useful in the cybersecurity field. Either way, I find it interesting, so I'll study it regardless.
  8. Known Techniques. In this section, I plan to study all the well-known techniques in the hacking world (e.g., Man-in-the-Middle attacks or SQL Injection), not to gain specific expertise but rather to stay informed.
I can't think of many other topics to learn. Any recommended topics, resources, certifications, books, or anything else are more than welcome.

2024.11.26 00:59 BanditTai Whoop Zone 2 is too high for me??

Hello! I recently received my whoop just 2 days ago.
I’m trying to work on zone 2 training, but the starting zones seem too high for it to really be zone 2. The first day the threshold to enter zone 2 was 135 bpm and today it’s at 140 bpm. It feels like way too much excursion to be zone 2.
I’m a pretty fit guy, but endurance has always been a struggle for me. If you compare me to any average person my endurance is probably better, but compared to any endurance athlete I’d be the slow strong guy.
I was told zone 2 I shouldn’t be sweating that heavily, but here I am. I don’t think I’d be able to maintain a fluid conversation either.
Does it just take more time/data for the Whoop zones to be accurate? I know I can set the zones myself but idk what they are and I’d like the system to continuously evolve as I do, but it’s putting the zones at a way harder capacity then I think it should.
Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated!

As most people are aware, posts on Bluesky circulate far longer than they do on Twitter, Instagram etc.
On Twitter a post's view count may falls flat within days, sometimes even within hours; I've had posts gain traction (i.e. 10k likes, 200k views), and after two days interactions basically flatline. But while likes and shares still trickle in once in a while, people almost never leave a comment once it's past that viral stage.
Of course it's partially because those algorithms push posts much harder as soon as they gain traction, leading to more replies, but I'm also wondering how much it is a (subconscious) choice on the viewer's end. People are far less inclined to post on older posts, thinking that they're too late or that their reply won't matter or even be seen. I've seen people say they don't comment on posts that are older than a week, and commenting on posts older than a year is creepy. I've heard people say they deleted their replies when they realized they accidentally commented on an old post.
(Tumblr is the exception, posts last ages there and people seem happy to comment on age-old posts)
So I'm wondering what people's philosophy on commenting is among the Bluesky crowd. Do you comment the same way as you did on other socials, or do you maintain different rules when talking to people on Bluesky? Or does it seem like a bunch of nonsense you've never heard of before?

It amazes me how much this band recorded especially the live concerts. They recorded rehearsals their entire house band experience at the forum and pretty much every show they ever did and they all sound amazing. I like the Boston recording at Fenway Park. Followed by the New Orleans jazz festival. Anybody else noticed the live sound quality of the live recordings?

Hello! So around 5 1/2 months I introduced yogurt to my baby boy and after going down for his nap, woke up compl red and in some hives. I brought him to urgent care where once we arrived had already gotten better, though they checked and said it could’ve been a reaction to the yogurt or maybe the vanilla that was in it. I probably should’ve started with a different type of yogurt but truly thought it would be fine. I then spoke to his pediatrician about it wondering if she recommended me getting him allergy tested. She said she didn’t recommend it, and that I should slowly start introducing more yogurts/ allergens. I gave him eggs and he loves them and no reactions. I waited a little and reintroduced yogurt. I bought plain greek yogurt, and same as last time.. put him down to nap and this time woke up with welts on his face and private area. Brought him to the urgent care and told to avoid yogurt, that it could be dairy allergy or maybe the cultures that it contains.
I stopped the yogurt, though he has had things with dairy cooked in with it. He’s had pasta with butte bread. Also I am breastfeeding and supplementing with Enfamil Gentlease which know contains some dairy. I also drink and eat products with dairy and he is fine.
Now skip to last week. Baby boy is 8 months old and started daycare last Wednesday. I put on many forms that he is not allowed any dairy products or cheese/ yogurt. Well Friday they had a little thanksgiving lunch and he was given mac n cheese. I received a call saying he had a few bumps around his hairline but that he was breathing fine and happy. I said okay, that I’d be off work soon to be there to get him thinking maybe it wad just a little irritation. Though I was annoyed since I had already told them no cheese. Luckily my nieces go to the same daycare and my sister stopped by to check on my baby while getting her daughters. She immediately called me and told me to leave work and get him. The pictures she sent to me were terrifying. He was so blotchy, swollen, and red. She told me had vomited twice while being there. I rushed over and when I arrived had just thrown up everywhere and looked horrible. I was so scared I had no time to even talk to the director or anyone as to why they didn’t escalate the situation. I rushed him to urgent care where he had seemed to be much better. Though bc of the rash + vomiting they told me he had to receive an epinephrine shot and benadryl and we were also transported to the emergency room in an ambulance… I was so terrified.
My baby is doing great now. He is on an allergy medicine for next days to lower his histamine levels, and prescribed an epipen. My questions/ advice is has another mother’s experienced this? He is fine with a few dairy products but it seems the yogurt and cheese cause these reactions. I am probably going to go ahead and get him tested so I can be sure. But any insight as to what anyone believe he could be allergic to? Possibly milk protein or maybe all dairy im not sure.
Thanks for reading though! Definitely so scary to know when your baby has something like this going on.
