2024.11.26 01:36 SomeChicksLeftNipple Anyone else get facial water retention immediately after eating?
About a year ago my cheeks suddenly started getting super round and saggy looking immediately after and sometimes even during eating. This seems to happen with anything I eat that has sodium. It's progressively getting worse and I now have constant water retention in my face. I'm wondering if it happens to anyone else on here? Currently waiting on bloodwork results.

Hey everyone, this is my first time posting in this community but I’m super stuck right now.
I have had high fevers for many days before my ear got infected, and I started to feel intense pain and pressure in the infected ear. I went to a clinic and I’m currently on Antibiotics, and my pain/pressure became better. Lately, I’ve noticed some blood coming out of my ear, I searched it up and I think it’s likely that my eardrum has ruptured, since I feel less pressure now. I don’t know exactly what it is but I’m hoping I can get people’s experiences and opinions so that I have a better idea of what I have.
If any of you have similar experiences or are related medically to ear treatment I would love you know your opinions! Any information is highly appreciated!

I had a double ear infection and dr prescribed me amoxicillin for 10 days. Thru out the whole course I had diarrhea. I was taking a probiotic with it as well. Now im 2 days post abx and both days Ive been having stomach cramps and small loose stools. The stomach pain sometimes feels like i have to go toy the poop asap but when i go its only a lil bit. The stomach cramps come and go throughout the day. Ive never had C.Diff and im scared i may have it. I haven’t noticed any blood/mucus in the stool. My main complaint is the abdominal pain its mostly on my upper stomach. I plan to give it a few more days to see if it resolves. If not then i’ll head to the Dr.

TW: child abuse/sexual abuse
Baby is 11 weeks and rarely is willing to nurse. I pump every day but barely make anything, one to two ounces a session MAX. I did meet with a lactation specialist and she got me the right size flanges so I know it isn't the flange.
I don't want to go into details but I was abused as a child and when my baby refuses to nurse and pushes me away, I feel like a sick predator. Pair that with my MIL making sure from the start she doesn't support breastfeeding, I start freaking out internally if I try to nurse him anywhere people can hear him refusing. I almost immediately panic and want to grab a bottle so no one else decides I'm some sicko forcing myself onto my child.
I am in counseling already. What else can I do? This is my third child and I'm not ready to give up nursing yet but he's nearly 3 months and after I was hospitalized with postpartum preeclampsia, he went from only nursing and no bottles to nursing so sporadically I couldn't even give you a pattern. Sometimes not willing for days and then sometimes willing to do it a few times in one day.
Is it too late for us? Do I need to accept defeat? I hate hearing him scream at me and rip at my hair. He gladly takes a bottle of breast milk when I pump but pumping is so hard. I have bad eczema and constantly washing pump parts is killing my hands. I have so many tiny cuts all over my fingers.
I am trying not to cry writing this. He's my first baby willing to latch and I feel like I totally blew it.

I’m a desi trans guy. I’m not completely out of the closet to my family - I came out to my brother who is 100% accepting and to my dad who can’t wrap his head around it/basically pretends i didn’t say anything, but haven’t come out to my mom yet. I’ll be able to come out and transition once I have a full-time job and am financially independent, but I’m still worried about the potential fallout for my parents once I do.
My extended family is most definitely going to be weird if not outright hostile about it, and I don’t want to put my aging parents in a situation where their relatives are shunning/talking shit about them because they have a queer child. I want them to have other people they can rely on if they have health/financial problems, not just me and my brother. It’s just so hard to figure out how I should go about this when the time comes, considering how heavily “log kya kahenge” governs every part of desi life. Anyone else in a similar situation?
