2024.11.26 02:00 xyzsonder Did anyone else experience their first manic episode after starting an antidepressant?

I was really depressed for about a year before I talked to my doctor, and she suggested Cymbalta. After starting it, I was completely out of control-angry, impulsive, and reckless. I fell into substance use, put myself in dangerous situations, and ended up being sexually assaulted.
I burned through so much money on things I didn't even care about or use. I started getting paranoid with auditory and visual hallucinations. I felt great, but I wasn't sleeping at all. I was so ashamed from causing myself to be sexually assaulted and it just made me more paranoid. :/
I felt so empty and alone with everything. I felt guilty because I didn't know what was happening and ended up overdosing.
At the hospital, I was diagnosed with bipolar 1 and started on medication which really helped me a lot. I was stable for a while afterward, but ever since, I just haven't felt like myself. I get so angry sometimes, thinking that maybe if I'd never started that antidepressant, things wouldn't be this way.
Has anyone had similar experiences with an antidepressant? Would love to hear other peoples experiences

I’m considering a Miele vaccum, but would appreciate some guidance.
I have 4 cats, and one floor of our house is all thick carpeting. The rest is mostly hardwood.
I’m sometimes vaccuming 2 times a day because I feel like my Dyson lost its power- it’s about 3 years old and even with bringing it for repairs and cleaning regularly…. I’d rather invest in something that will last.
I’m thinking either the C3 dog and cat OR C3 Kona Powerline because it says it’s best for thick carpeting… if anyone has any other suggestions I’m open to it. Thank you!

2024.11.26 02:00 BriCheese I was at my fittest when I smoked. Now almost 2 years later after quitting, i’m at my heaviest!

Anyone else who has quit have this experience? When I smoked I could eat whatever I wanted, not a pound gained. Now, I look at food and gain weight.
I started eating well and not fast food everyday around 21. I haven’t changed my diet since then. Veg, meat, minimal starch, and fasting. I still eat the exact same things! Maybe its my meds? But I’ve been on those for 4yrs and didnt start gaining until I quit weed almost 2yrs ago.
Went from 110lbs to 150lbs as a 5ft female. I am getting back to the gym after a very long time off because I can’t even look at myself anymore
I smoked multiple times daily from 17-24yrs. Pretty much stoned 24/7. 25 now. (F)
