Some days it feels unreal. Like I’m doing this. I’ve been doing this since March 2024. I made it. I beat everyone’s expectations, including my childhood therapist who said I’d never have full independence. It feels like a vivid dream sometimes. I internalized their expectations for so long that fighting for my independence and freedom felt disconnected in a way. Like one part of me gave up and the other part kept fighting.
I never want to give this up though. I fought for years to get here. It felt like a war to me. Toxic and abusive house, toxic adult group/foster homes, homelessness twice, couch surfing, housing wait list after housing wait list, denying options because I knew they were basically a trap, masking like my life depended on it, holding onto this dream just to survive, never letting any of my resources forget this is my end goal and I’m not going to give up on it no matter what they think or say…
I never thought I’d actually get this far but I did. But now my problem is what do I do now? This was my 1 life goal and dream; the only thing on my bucket list. How do you keep going forward when you reached the end of the road? If I knew I’d make it this far I would have planned more but I honestly never thought I would.

2024.11.26 04:00 Longjumping_Trifle56 my driving instructor cancelled my test & didn’t tell me.
My driving instructor is an advanced instructor so was able to book me in for a test, i was learning with him for over a year & asked for a test which he said he could get me instantly (he booked me in for 5 months time), i was not happy with the progress i was making as it was coming up to 30h with him so decided to find another instructor & go out with family until the test date.
as i wasn’t in contact with him, he cancelled my driving test fully, one month before i was meant to have it, without even telling or asking me. when i approached him about this, he said he mentioned he was “uncomfortable presenting me for a test” which was really the last i heard from him in 2 months.
I understand i could have contacted him and told him I was going out to make my own efforts but i was scared so avoided it. the whole situation blows my mind as he didn’t even tell or ask me about cancelling the test which i felt was rightfully mine? yes, he booked it in for me, but i also gave him the money to do that. which also was only refunded to me after i messaged him about if he cancelled my test, like if if i did not message him he would have kept the money????
im just kinda super upset about the situation, as its impossible getting a test any time soon. what do you guys think about this situation? am i in the wrong for not contacting him for a few months? i just don’t understand how he thinks it was right cancelling my test without any communication or what i should even do next 😭
