If you havenāt, your seriously missing out. Their ā80s stuff is very commercialized, their ā70s work is far more cool/jammy, neat chord progressions and interesting subject matter. In both eras of their music the musicianship is absolutely second to noneā¦I donāt care what you say, they are better than any of your favorite stars, just not as polished. And their stage shows from the ā70s were the coolest, just a giant mosaic of television, vaudeville, and satire. If youāve never heard of them go give a listen and a look, they will be your new favorites, I promise.

I canāt remember what podcast or maybe YouTube doc I saw this on but I vaguely remember a couple things that werenāt addressed in this Netflix doc. If someone could point me to some evidence so Iām not making myself crazy Iād appreciate it:
- The phone call Patsy made to the police either wasnāt the first call she made to the police (she dialed 911 but immediately hung up only to call back a littler later) or there were a couple seconds captured on the call before Patsy was connected to the dispatcher in which Patsy is saying something, presumably, to Burke (I canāt recall what exactly)
- At the time of the murder, either in Boulder at large or within a certain vicinity of the Ramsey household, there were a lot of people on the sex offender registry. Like, a lot.
- There was like a Santa Claus impersonator that mightāve been a suspect?

Why does he have clearance for something some claim to be fictional?

Why would a man most famous for his decades of history books pursuing aliens/NHI ā not even any real nuts and bolts military and aerospace angles ābut through a lens of mythology, fables and old religious tales even have a US government presence?
Why would a retired computer engineescientist, investor and historian of human mythology as relates to aliens even have a US government role for decades on end, let alone security clearance for chasing topics skeptics say is on the level of leprechauns, hobgoblins and angels?
How do we reconcile this?

Let's talk about TPKs. A LOT of TPKs. This past year, I've been running with a relatively new group. Generally Pathfinder, but most recently D&D 5e.
We have not made it past 10 sessions in any campaign. -.-
I tend to be a "let the dice fall as they may" DM. I don't go hard on my players, but I also don't pull punches; it's my opinion that without challenges and consequences, a large part of the edge is gone. Who cares about combat when you know you'll always survive?
The dice gods giveth, the dice gods taketh away. But with this group, the balance seems horribly skewed. I've run a few campaigns where the VERY FIRST encounter proved to be fatal (funny enough, on the rare occasions they get to 'boss fights', their luck tends to flip and they win in short order).
I understand "give them an out that isn't death." But I generally run published campaigns, and in some of those, capturing the PCs makes no sense. When a mercenary groups goal is to raze a village to the ground, I don't see them showing mercy to a handful of would-be heroes that get in their way.
But after a year of party wipes, my morale and faith in myself as a DM is crumbling, tbh.
...I don't know if I'm looking for advice or just venting. I just needed to get this off my chest.
