Good day everyone,
Wanted to get your thoughts on this:
It's been common place to provide in text current and expected salary (usually annual gross) when doing job applications. I personally think this is unfair, and have on many occasions in the past, just entered "open to negotiations". I never got a call back - ever. Not to say I was more successful when I did enter in amounts, so who knows!
Anyway, the most scammed application process I've come across is Astron Energy, who require you to upload your entire previous payslip or you cannot apply (this is over and above entering in the amounts). I think this is really pathetic, it takes advantage of the desperate nature of the many underpaid job seekers in south africa. I must admit, I've applied on 3 different occasions and uploaded my payslip to here nothing back, not even a rejection email for over a year.
It's a sad state of affairs in South Africa that every bit of bargaining power is being taken away from potential candidates over the years, who now must completely show their hand and still be ghosted.
Am I over reacting? What are your thoughts?

2024.11.26 05:50 stanleythedog Anyone else had Footfall un-explored?
I'm at the point where I finished chapter 2, before going into 3. For some reason, when I go to footfall (any area of it), the game seems to think I've never been there. All the loot, interactions etc. are reset. I even got an interaction where an Anver guy recognizes me as the guy who killed their boss and the station is affected by me allowing the tainted crops from Janus . Anyone else got this? I even just got the flamer guys encounter again in the shadow quarters.

2024.11.26 05:50 Informal_Scar_5577 creepy dad bombards me with texts and is obsessed with my love life. what do i do?
my mom and dad recently divorced. im in college and live with my mom 100% of the time. my dad is definitely a narcissist and for a while i wasn’t responding to his emails and texts, however he would constantly message me. my therapist told me to respond every once in a while but hes so fucking annoying. hes in his mid 50’s living in LA and trying to live out some peter pan complex fantasy and doing things he is way too old to be doing and constantly texting me and bragging about it. my mom thinks hes trying to convince me to come and visit him and if i did he wouldnt let me to come back home. which sounds insane but is DEFINITELY something he would do. hes also obsessed with me being in a relationship and CONSTANTLY asks me about if im in a relationship and thats the only thing he ever asks me about which is creepy and such an invasion of privacy considering i barely speak to him. whenever i answer any questions he tries to relate himself to the kinds of people i go out with. for example i talked to a football player and thats all i told him after his INSANE line of questioning. and he immediately told me he used to play football. he also asks a lot of creepy questions about my sex life. things my dad should not care about. whenever he texts me about something, whenever i respond about ANYTHING that can be looked up online, he responds with a bombard of text messages that read like wiki entries about the topic. its so weird and so annoying. i dont want to hear fucking random facts about a random movie or random actor.
does anyone have any advice on how to deal with this??

I was so excited to watch the Netflix doc as soon as i saw Joe Berlinger did it. Besides JonBenet, the WM3 case is another case i was very passionate about. Well Berlinger got those men free years back. If not for him, theyd still be there. This man is the best documentarian I've ever seen.
I hope this documentary spawns backlash against BPD and they're forced to take action.

House was built in the early 1970s. Didn’t realize the risk till afterwards. Dust didn’t really kick up but it does have some glue that is hard to scrape off. Should I just remove entire subflooring and drywall since it had wallpaper.
