2024.11.26 06:23 NenisPipples H1B renewal in-person Interview Experience 11/26 (Hyderabad)
Like a couple other folks here, I was also eligible for a Dropbox appointment but opted for an in-person interview since I couldn’t find any Dropbox slots. I too was concerned for a potential issue around force opting an in-person appointment, but no one really questioned me about it. For reference, I booked my in-person appointment back in September ‘24, after cancelling my original dropbox, and did not have to pay the fees again.
My biometrics was scheduled on 11/25 in Hyderabad as well, and consular appointment on 11/26.
I reached the consulate around 10:00 AM for my 10:30 AM interview slot. The lines were pretty long. No phones/electronic devices are allowed inside, but you can put them in a locker shop located in front of the consulate, right across the street.
Documents I took with me: - DS160 and Appointment confirmation - Passport - LCA (Was surprised they asked for this, but I was carrying it with me, and the consular officer did not really request to see it) - I797 - Employment Verification Letter - Immigration Letter (My company provides this document just in case, but it’s not required) - I-94, Paystubs, older I-797s
Questions asked: 1. Which company do you work for? 2. How long have you worked for the company? 2. What is your highest level of education? 3. What is your salary? 4. What is your job title? 5. Where do you live in the USA?
The consular officer only asked for my passport, and no other supporting documents. My interview was barely 5 minutes long, so pretty quick turnaround.

I(M24) am dating this girl (F23) for about a month.
She has strict parents so we just can see each other one day a week and usually not for so many hours.
So in exchange we text a lot. Sometimes we do a videocall too.
So today she was absent for a while and I happened to be alone (I share a room with other person so isn't every time I have privacy to do a video call). So I did a call and she didn't replied so I just ignored it went back to what I was doing.
After some hours she appeared and said that her cellphone was recharging and that's why she didn't accept the call.
So I called again and she answered. But quickly she muted herself and after a while she turned it off. I asked what happened and after a while she asked for some space.
She didn't explained anything, just said it and I was ok. I feel that was strange and I get a little anxious, but I respect what she asked and I went to follow my life.
After some hours I sent a good night message and she replied. So I didn't get to sleep cause I was anxious and she saw that I was active in our friends group chat and she sent me a meme. I asked about the "space" thing and she said she just wanted to sent it without the obligation to reply my messages.
I ignored it and kept active on the group chat, we was talking about a singer that usually sing about relationships and she asked if It I was "losing my love for her" (something in the lyrics say this) and I said no. She replied saying that she love me. I did a short answer.
Then she did a little of love bombing and went to sleep.
Before anyone says about physically cheating: I, her boyfriend, can't easily go to her house cause her parents are crazy and just want us to have intimacy after marriage, what about strangers?
But I feel really off she asking for space but didn't explaining anything and then following to do a love bombing.
I didn't mentioned in the post, but I didn't confronted her because last week's we had some fights and we get good last friday so I'm avoiding expressing my feelings cause she don't know how to deal with it everytime turns it on a fight. It's her first relationship so I presume it's quite normal, for now I chose to don't say anything so we can stop fighting.
I dunno what should I think about the whole situation. Anyone can help me with the nterpretation?

2024.11.26 06:23 _Ashu_Tosh_ A game mechanic idea for a market where people can freely trade resource cards in a card game so that they can discard their unwanted cards from hand to get one that can be more useful.
I am working on a card game where players collect parts of rockets and money and then when they have all parts and sufficient money, they can launch the rocket. I have two deck piles, one for action and one for resources. I am currently facing a challenge where I want people to get a chance to exchange the cards which are multiple in number and in their hand. The game rule allows you to play only one of each part card, so any extra would feel like a burden. To overcome the same, I chose to create a market. Market starts with 3 resource cards face up. You play the card you don't need into this market face up and take one from there. But I still find the players not using it, as the resource cards that end up in the market are of least points, as one would always discard the worst resources even if they are multiple. So after a few uses the market becomes an irrelevant place. Note: this market use doesn't count as a move in your turn, its basically a free move, yet failed in execution. Throw your thoughts on improving the same or even any sort of new ideas which could resolve the issue.

I'm deliberately making the responses fairly specific, if you don't fall into one of these buckets please just vote "see results" and comment your situation. I've seen enough reports of moderately old Pint X's bricking after the recent speed + custom shaping firmware update, generally within 100 miles. Not enough for me to be sure, but enough to be concerned. Other's say they've seen more. Often there is major resistance at the wheel as if the board was on, even though it's bricked, which is a sign of fried MOSFETs. So, a poll to gather data.

2024.11.26 06:23 juicydreamer I wish I could keep playing as Arthur.
I’ve played through the whole game before. Had the good honor ending.
I started a new game and am about 33% through. I love playing as Arthur. He’s just such a rugged badass. I’m really trying to savor the moments playing as him because I know it will switch over to John eventually.
I hate getting so attached to the original character and then having to switch over. It would be cool if it was like GTA5 where we can switch between characters.
Does anyone else feel this way?
