I've been stuck for 6 months. I can't drive, have no credit, and no job. I just graduated but where I live there's nothing and without a car I can't go anywhere. I feel pretty bad because if I apply to jobs they might think I'm an idiot and I don't want to explain the story behind my 1st two years of college and how I didn't know I was dealing with PTSD and that's a whole other story which I worry would make people less likely to want me. So I can either look like an idiot or have to explain that. Other people have applied to 300 jobs and have got nothing and the jobs I can do I have to move another state but I have no credit so I can't rent a house and I have barley any money saved to get a flight.

Anyone read this one? I just finished and I feel like I need to have someone to talk this through with Imfao.
This book definitely sucked me in. I finished it in under two days - something about the narrators monologues and insane trains of thought was so gripping to me. But I really wish there was more plot heavy moments. This book is not perfect but definitely an interesting read. I wish there was a bit more character development or just something MORE to this. I felt a bit unsatisfied.

Is there any hope on the horizon that these regulations will be changed or made easier?
Rant incoming…
I’m so frustrated as a foreigner. All I want to do is go self employed in my trade but I’m held back with all these regulations. Now, there is a loophole that I found that allows you to apply for a foreign recognition. But it’s all so intimidating. So much ‘proof’ needed and everything had to be officially translated into German.
Translations are around 50€ just for one page! So if I have 5 certificates in English, aswell as about 5 other documents. That’s getting really expensive for someone who is just trying to start out.
Then the actually process can take 3 months and costs up to 600€, and you may not even get accepted after all of that.
I mean, why can’t they at least accept certificates that are in English? That would relieve immediately the financial burden.
Also, the trades with all these regulations are the ones that are usually low paid with long training times. So you end up trapped.
Don’t want to seem entitled but doesn’t Germany want people to make money and start businesses? Why make it so difficult. It feels very oppressive and German friends have told me the same thing - They would rather stay employed forever than go through all the stress of self employment.
