I’m one month into 5mg (had been on 2.5mg for three months before going up). I do my shots on Mondays and usually eat a low key dinner at home on those nights. I generally get a queasy feeling the day after my shots but at a manageable level.
Tonight, 6 hours after injecting, I went out to eat for the first time on a shot day and probably ate more food, and richer food, than I ever have on a shot day. It wasn’t an out of control meal, but I probably would have had 30-40% less food at home. Now I feel like crap — nauseous and bloated and uncomfortable in my stomach and chest.
This is making me realize I could use some advice. I’m about to head out on a big three week trip. I love eating when I travel — I consider local flavors to be an important part of the experience. It’s a key element of traveling for my partner, too. I don’t intend to overdo it, but it’ll definitely be more indulgent than my life back home.
I’m not so much concerned in terms of setbacks on the weight loss journey, but more concerned that I don’t want to make myself sick and enjoy my travels less because of it. Should I skip a dose or two? Go 2 weeks between shots instead of 1? Any advice or relevant experience is greatly appreciated!

My ex and I dated for almost 3 years. A week after my birthday, he decided to end things. This wasn't the first time he was thinking of breaking up. The first two times he did this, I fought for it. For the 3rd time, I just felt lost and confused and didn't feel like fighting for something if he was just going to keep throwing away. I just remember how we sat down on a bench at night, I was smiling away and talking about something. And when I looked over, he was hunched over, elbows on his thighs, looking at his shoes. He was quiet. He was drained. I called out his name and asked if everything was okay. And after a moment of silence, I just hear "I want to breakup." I will never forget the way he said it. I will never forget the way he looked at me right after. And I will never forget the feeling of my heart dropping and how hard I cried. I remember a few days before that, I literally looked at him while he was driving and thought "I love you to the moon and back and I wouldn't ask for anything or anyone else in the world in exchange of you." I remember asking if he still saw a future with us and how he paused, then slowly shook his head. I remember asking him if he even still loves me. And I wion't ever forget how he said "I don't know. But to make things easier- no, I don't." I loved him (and still do) with all my heart. The crazy thing is- I remember the way he first told me he loved me and the way he looked at me with such loving eyes. Now all I can picture is the look he gave me. The tears down his eyes, nothing sparkled. All the hope was gone.
I don't know if I can ever find someone else after him. Even if I did, I don't think I can go through another relationship again without thinking about that moment. I don't think I can relive that.
My friends tell me to move on. How do you expect me to move on when the only thing that's haunting me is that? How do you move past that?
