We’re renting and on a 12 month lease that is up at end of November. Have recently purchased a property and settle in December. Gave landlords plenty of notice (8 weeks before we settle) and asked if we could end the lease early. They said they’d try to find new tenants but given the time of year, it’s not going to be easy. They haven’t been proactive listing the property.
We’ve had concerns that the property isn’t up to healthy home standards as the landlords did the assessment themselves. Some fairly major things missing including no ground sheet under the house. If we get an assessment and it fails, can we use this as a tool to negotiate ending the tenancy early?

i am a college student going home (one US state to another) for 3 weeks for christmas break—I have had my 3 yr old cat for about 4 months now and we’re starting to bond really well. i am going home for 3 weeks, in which i HAVE to travel by plane. i am absolutely terrified of taking her on the plane with me, i really don’t want to traumatize her. i have severe anxiety and i think it would traumatize me too, travel is already stressful for me.
she is very comfortable with people but HATES being handled/being in a carrier so far. i have tried to harness and carrier train her (loosely) but she’s stubborn. is my best option to leave her with a sitter? or should I focus on training her?
keep in mind i have no close friends or family staying here that can watch her. i would need to rely on a stranger (which is also scary), it is also much more expensive to hire someone even for once daily visits for 3 weeks. what should i do??? i’m very stressed.

I am currently on another re-read of the acotar series and in the middle of acowar rn..my god I already know why it's one of my least favorite books of the series. I do enjoy some aspects of it (e.g. feyre's revenge on ianthe, lucien and feyre escaping, rescuing elain from the war camp, the HL meeting..) there are even more things I didn't enjoy at all and actually annoy me and most of them have to do with feyre's pov:
- her vilifying tamlin and plotting this crazy revenge plan to take down his court instead of literally just...talking to him or reading his mind? yes he treated her like shit in acomaf and did bad things, we get it. but the fact that she literally misrembers whole situations and blames him for things that he had nothing to do with makes me so mad. and her pov is just treated as truth and not questioned by anyone.
- feyre telling herself over and over again how rhys treats her as equal and gives her so much choice and freedom. she already started doing that in acomaf when she knew the IC for like a month and talked about them like she knew them for years and all the things they would do for her..knowing how they all kept essential information about her bodily autonomy from her in acosf makes this very sad actually and I actually feel bad for her.
- amren not dying. she should have died. I enjoyed her character but she became useless and I would have appreciated a meaningful death. but sjm is a happy end writer soo...
- the war lasting..how long? the battle maybe went on for a few hours or did I miss something? the war was supposed to be THE EVENT in the whole series and was over before it even started.
- feyre and rhys doing "it" in the tent with the sounds of people dying around them. didn't she get mad at tamlin for only wanting to bang her UTM when they had one last night together? hmm seems like intimacy and love are suddenly not to crazy things to share anymore before dying the next day.
- rhys sacrificing himself and then being resurrected. ok ngl "be happy feyre" makes me tear up every time I read it but my god. so much unnecessary drama. he literally has horrible nightmares about feyre dying and she still lives and he thought it's a great idea to just do the same to her? not that out of character but still unnecessary.

Hi all,
I currently have an Asus zenfone 10. Which is what many would call a compact flagship phone. I am on the whole ok happy with it. But the camera is not super good, and it is incredibly aggressive with closing background apps no matter what I do. Which can be really annoying.
There is currently a pretty good offer on an S24 ultra in Denmark. (Note - upcoming prices are Danish prices)
The normal price for the phone is 11499.
It is currently on offer (incl. subscription) for 7710,-
That alone is a saving of +3700.
If I also sell my Zenfone, we are more or less down to half price for the phone.
The reasons I'm considering switching
- Longer lifespan with updates
- Better camera (I'm a parent so I take a lot of everyday pictures
- Better and bigger screen for everyday use (like google sheets for training, email replies etc.)
- Have a Tab S9 (don't know if it offers any advantages)
Reasons why I'm not considering switching
- The size! Going from a 5.9 to a 6.8 mobile is still quite a difference. Last time I had such a big phone was in 2020 when I had a Oneplus 7 Pro
- Fingerprint reader - Pretty big fan of my very reliable capacitance side mounted reader
- Needs. I'm not sure if I really need a new phone or if it's just cool with something new. If it wasn't on offer I would hardly consider it.
What are you guys thinking? What should I consider in terms of whether I should buy an ultra or not?

There are tons of AI girlfriend apps these days, but honestly, most of them feel pretty similar, making it hard to figure out which one’s worth your time. Plus, searching for these apps can be a headache with all the spammy stuff popping up, especially from Muah AI who claim to be the best but don’t really back it up.
Anyway, I’ve tried a bunch and thought I’d share my thoughts on some of them to help you find a good one. Just to be clear, I’m not getting paid to review these, it’s all personal experience.
- HeraHaven
Similar variety to Candy AI, with a range of characters to suit different preferences.
Image quality is incredible, super realistic and probably the best I’ve seen. Free users can request up to two images daily.
The Not-So-Good:
Text chats are very basic and feel geared more towards quick, surface-level interactions rather than deep emotional connections.
- Candy AI
Tons of character options; female, male, anime, and even characters with unique traits.
The photorealistic art style is impressive, and the text-to-image feature is worth trying.
The Not-So-Good:
The text chat feels dull, and all the characters come across as pretty similar.
The voice chat feature didn’t work for me—anyone else have luck with it?
- SoulFun
You get 5 free chats per day (though it used to be 30, no idea why they changed it).
It’s the only app I’ve found where voice and video chats actually work decently. Voice chat feels smooth with minimal delay, and the replies match the conversation well.
Video chat is a cool concept, and there’s a free trial. I managed to connect once, and it was fun to see the character respond in real-time, even though they talked a bit too much.
The Not-So-Good:
The app’s interface isn’t great.
Limited character options.
It’s also pretty pricey.
- Muah AI
Focuses on custom characters, so you can really personalize your experience.
Offers text, image, and voice options, plus phone calls.
The Not-So-Good:
Public characters aren’t available unless you use character cards from the Muah AI community.
The app doesn’t seem to get updated much, and there’s a lot of spam attached to it.

Remember those guys, telling people to wait for reviews and not to preorder? I even saw someone writing on reddit to wait until the last second of the preorder period closing, before ordering, because it gives you leeway to cancel the order and more time for watching all the reviews. Now, after watching this subreddit for a while, I'm thinking they were either trolling or just very calculative. After all, the less people order after the preorder starts, the higher the chance to get your own console shipped faster.
