A local hobby store was clearing out their warehouse stock selling everything at half off. Rummaged through the boxes, and found this pristine set of C&C books. Snagged them immediately. Always wanted to try these out, and see how they hold up. Heard they were a mix of AD&D with D20. Also the fact they haven't really upgraded to this or that edition despite being around for a while is really cool too. Or so I heard. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I have always suspected since I was a teen that I had some hormonal issue due to my physical appearance (acne since I was 9, constant struggle with weight, hair thinning, tubular breasts). Recently, I’ve done some blood work for a new job and I randomly have elevated androgens and inflammatory markers - Which can point to PCOS.
Never officially diagnosed. But after some research, yeah, I’m pretty sure I have PCOS. I’ve also struggled with depression and anxiety most of my fucking life, which in part is due to my lack of self confidence in my appearance, but it also seems to be biological.
I didn’t know there was research that tied mental health to chronic low grade inflammation! Which PCOS can cause. The inflammation can also cause poor motor skills and balance which is clumsy me to a T. I have to put EFFORT in not being clumsy.
Part of me feels so angry, upset that I have had to deal with this shit and this whole time and all of my issues, physically and mentally, led back to this piece of shit diagnosis. This is why I don’t have a normal life. I’m so angry about it that it makes me want to cry. I’m also disappointed in the medical professionals I went to growing up for not considering PCOS when it seems so obvious.
At the same time, I feel relieved and validated! I know what’s wrong, so I know what to do now. I can’t change this, I can’t control how I was born and what my life was like up until now - but I can control what happens from now on.
Also, I feel like my struggles have made me a much more empathetic and open minded person. I can also help people with my own experiences.
I feel better on birth control and antidepressants, I know what kind of food and lifestyle changes I need to make.
I can’t help to want to dwell a bit in the despair of it for a bit though haha 😭

This year in metalcore was an amazing experience for me so far.
It all started with: In Hearts Wake - Incarnation followed by
Gravemind - Introsphere and lastly
156/Silence - People Watching
Don't get me wrong please: there are a lot of other brilliant albums this year I probably couldn't even list them all but these 3 bands... damn... they had an impact on me I can't compare to anything in the last several years.
I mean there were amazing albums in recent years, every year but not like this. These three to me are something I can't explain.
They go dark, they go deep, they hit me in the right spot real heavy. I mean shatteringly heavy.
Anyone else feels the same for any of these bands?
Do you have another band/album from this year that hit heavier than anything in recent years?
