2024.11.26 16:49 Stingy_Arachnid Hidden knob and tube?
We had an electrician come today who confirmed we have knob and tube. There is updated wiring in the basement but somewhere they tied that into the knob and tube. I only found it replacing receptacles upstairs that weren’t grounded or in boxes and had old wiring. Little frustrated that our home inspector didn’t find it. Not sure what to do now. Electrician said to just leave it since it would be expensive and hard to work with the plaster walls. But it makes me uneasy and I know it’s recommended to eventually replace it. He said best case is maybe being able to fish up newer wiring to the lower receptacles but that the light switches and receptacles on the second floor probably can’t be replaced easily. Anyone had good luck with this? Or anyone just leave old knob and tube?

For context I have always loved makeup. So much in fact I do it as a career. So even if I’m just running errands if I have time to do my makeup and put on a nice outfit I will. i was restricting myself quite well today (i'm NOT saying restriction is good), and then i binged. i wasn't planning to work out today because i was below my limit but now that i ate more, it all feels pointless. i want to go on a run now but i'm tired, it's far too late, and i already took a shower.
it doesn't feel okay that i binged. i constantly tell others on this subreddit that eating is okay and that binges happen because we're depriving our bodies of food for too long, but how can i say all that to you all if i don't think it's okay for me to do?
i genuinely feel sick. i'm bloated and nauseous and hate myself so much right now. can someone please provide me with a bit of logic right now? i feel like an emotional mess.

I'm a new PCS. Command housing requires renting an approved house if using the local market. The command says that if we don't use the approved local housing pool, we forfeit OHA. The housing office doesn't update the database on homes.mil and makes us use one of several approved landlords to show us the property. The housing office says it takes 6 months to register previously unapproved housing. If we choose to live in unregistered housing, we're not entitled to any of the housing office services: washer, dryer, refrigerator, and temp furniture. Does any of this sound right?
