2024.11.26 16:33 Avocadomesh GEO NODES are a black box in Blender
I used to work in Rhino grasshopper. A couple of years ago I started working in Blender and started using geo nodes, like I did before but then in Blender ( I thought, oh nice easy!). But I can't seem to get used to the geo nodes in Blender after these 2 years. To me it feels like working with a black box. We are just trying some stuff and assume this or that will come out of the node. If not, we got a problem. WE have to try some things out to see if it works or not (huge time wast). In Grasshopper there are things like a panel where you could see inside a specific node (the data). All data is stored in lists, like in Blender but the difference is that you can actually do list management in Grasshopper (like cross multiplication, or other mathematical actions to prosess data in a userfriendly way. The geo node UI in Blender is just bad and overkill on information ( Ijust want to see the data inside one node). Also these Lists are quite bad cuz they dont have sublists etc.. its just one flat list... (how we suppose to transpose lists etc...)
I used Grasshopper and I loved it so much, Blender geo nodes feel so bad too me. PLEASE DEVS LOOK AT MCneel Grasshopper and see how they do it. Its the best parametric design tool (next to Houdini) I have ever used. Do not invent warm water twice, Just go check it out and also use the names they use there, they make much much more sense.
Any one else with this feeling?

I played this game on Heisman since it came out and I literally don’t know what else to say but they broke the game in that September update. The lineman don’t block, the DBs are madden level impossible, my guys don’t block in space, there’s no such thing as a bullet pass from any QB under an OVR of 85. And if I get fed up and go down to all American just so my guys will actually block I beat teams 63-21. The game was fun and engaging before and they literally ruined a product I already purchased. I am going to have to seriously consider buying next year, because this is unbelievably night and day from release day. This is so so so disappointing

If and this is a big if.
If a live action Digimon movie were made what you expect out of it?
I would hope that at least two tamers and partners are part of the story and some sort of world ending or world merging catastrophe was about to happen.
Preferably the two Digimon partners would be known Digimon like Augumon or Gabumon. But I wouldn't be upset if it was a new Digimon made for the movie.
Obviously it would have to be set in both the real world and the digital world, and hopefully Genaii or another one of Genaiis kind makes an appearance.

I’ve been playing for 7 years now (mainly tenobari) and I’m looking into buying a mouthpiece for tenor. I want a more expressive mouthpiece especially for more pop/rock sound and make it easier to be growly with. I had been looking at yannigasawa metal mouthpiece or Syos but wanted some extra input on mouthpiece recommendations.
For context a big inspiration for me sound wise is LeGrand particularly the song “Play Pretenses”

I’m quite certain that the issue lies with the GPU, as I tested it in my brother’s PC, and it crashed in the exact same way it does in my system.
I’ve performed every possible stress test on the GPU, and it didn’t crash once. However, it consistently crashes while playing Black Ops 6 and Sons of the Forest.

I'm looking into buying a pair of Kali LP-UNFs as PC speakers and wanted to pair them with an RSL 10s MKII subwoofer.
Since the Kalis dont have a subout, I was wondering if its better to run the speakers and subwoofer separately into my PC since my mobo has a dedicated subout. Or would it be better to run an RCA from the PC to the subwoofer's passthrough to the speakers? TIA!

2024.11.26 16:33 encaged314 Lighting Node Pro no longer starts properly
Upon initial startup or following a restart, my K70 keyboard and Glaive mouse will display the mural (purple) I have iCue set to but my Lighting Node Pro connected with 3x LED strips will be stuck on the default color (green). In iCue, the Node will display as if it is using the mural. If I toggle the Node off/on or change it to anything else, it changes the color accordingly. I've checked everything for an update but it still won't start properly. This only started happening recently. I haven't tried a clean install of iCue yet. Could my Lighting Node Pro be on its way out?

A lot of people say they are influenced by Radiohead, and a lot of people ask for music that sounds like them so I made a playlist of songs that fit this description.
The list is now fairly established with 123 followers and at this point I'd like to get some smaller artists on the list to helpwith discoverability, and serve the algorithm with some artists to pair my music with. As part of the curation, I'm allowing one artist with under 100,000 listeners per month per 10 songs. Since today I'll be bringing the list to 80 80, this means there are up to 8 slots available, but really only 5 because 3 are already full.

The main problem? One administrative staff member who made my job a nightmare. She sabotaged me at every turn—overstepping boundaries, passive aggressive comments, taking over tasks I was already handling, and even rummaging through my desk like she owned the place. Imagine walking into your office and finding your drawers open again. When I confronted her, she had the nerve to ignore me like I didn’t even exist.
I once asked her to send a simple email to new volunteers, which was literally her job. I needed them to arrive 30 minutes early for an intro. She flipped out, arguing with me and swinging between sugary sweet and outright aggressive. When I held my ground, she slammed her clipboard down like a toddler, got defensive, and said she’d only do it if my supervisor agreed. So, I looped in my supervisor, and guess what? She sided with me—but then told me to just handle it myself to avoid upsetting the admin! Are you kidding me?
Let’s talk about the inappropriate comments too. One day, we were talking about donated toys, and I mentioned that a doll’s outfit seemed too revealing. Her response? “What bothers me is that she’s white.” I’m half Native American and half Caucasian, so yeah, that hit me the wrong way. When I tried to address it, she dodged the conversation completely. And this wasn’t even the first time she’d made unnecessary, borderline racist comments.
HR? Useless. I begged to move desks because I was so uncomfortable, sometimes I’d work outside just to avoid her. HR told me she “thought highly of me” and wanted to “support” me—what a joke. They even said I could file a harassment complaint, but warned me that it might “escalate” and lead to someone losing their job. Thanks for the subtle intimidation.
They tried to patch things up by bringing in a therapist and a conflict resolution specialist. Did it help? Not one bit, because the main issue wasn't being addressed. And let’s not forget the cherry on top—this admin’s husband is a higher-up in the church’s session. So, of course, nothing ever happened to her.
The misrepresentation of my actions was constant. One day, she came in sick, and during the conversation, I mentioned someone else had gone home the day before for feeling ill. Suddenly, I’m being accused by HR of trying to send her home, which was NOT true. Even after I explained and others in the conversation backed my story up, I was still treated like I was in the wrong.
Then there was another coworker. We worked together and were friendly at work, but nothing beyond that. Then, out of nowhere, his wife approaches me in the office—completely out of the blue—and starts accusing me of having an affair with him. I had no clue what she was talking about. It turns out this woman had been accusing me of this affair for weeks. Meanwhile HR knew of this mess and told me to at like nothing had happened. People start whispering, wondering if the affair rumors are true, and now I’m being forced to pretend nothing’s wrong because HR said so. Turned out, HR started a rumor and that's why she didn't want me saying anything.
I’m done dealing with this toxic, petty nonsense. This whole situation has been a nightmare, and the lack of support from HR, the admin, and even my coworker and his wife has made it ten times worse. How is this place still operating like this? How are people allowed to act this way? I just wanted to vent, because I’m so done.
Ultimately, they let me go because I wasn’t a “good fit.” What I wasn’t a good fit for was this toxic circus. They set me up to fail and made it impossible for me to succeed. And the absolute kicker? Despite ALL this shit—being accused of an affair, dealing with toxic coworkers, HR doing NOTHING—I don’t even have a legal case. I’m stuck with all this crap because there’s no solid proof to back up any claims. No harassment claim I can file, no legal action to take. This whole situation is just a damn mess, and I’m left dealing with the fallout while everyone else gets to move on with their lives. It's beyond infuriating. Despite my best efforts to handle things professionally, I was constantly undermined, dismissed, and treated like I didn’t matter.
