hi all! i have a 10 gallon aquarium that my tarantula lived in before she passed. it’s just been sitting around for almost a year and my boyfriend and i decided to put it to use again. any reccomendations for beginner pets to put in there? we LOVE invertebrates, ive had a few spiders and my T, and open to fish but i’m pretty sure 10 gallons can only house a beta (correct me if i’m wrong pls!)c but the tank will be staying at my boyfriends apartment and so we’re looking for something lower maintenance.

So, my bird got quite the spook and hit the window :( so far he’s acting normal, talking, screaming, ect. He is a little sleepy, but he does take a daily nap, and especially gets tired when sitting on my shoulder. He seems to have no problem balancing, reacting, and flying. He even flew a couple of laps a minute ago. Does hitting a window ensure concussion?

Howdy all!
Any FT or Temporary Rangers here? Specifically Alaska?
I applied for 2025 summer ranger position at all AK NPs, got the email yesterday saying my application was being sent to hiring manager at the GS7 position.
When I looked up GS7 it is like $25 an hour, how do any of y'all survive on that? It would literally cover my monthly mortgage and that's about it.
How does it go clocking in and out? PTO wise?
What is it like being at Lake Clark or Katmai? Like a two weeks on-off type rotation or am I out there all summer. I do live in AK so it would make a difference.
Life long dream has always been to be a Ranger, I'd have to take a huge pay cut at least during the summer. But wanted the internets input.
