It's been 3 years since I've attended any out-of-state family Thanksgiving dinners because of the constant insults on my dishes I bring by 3-4 distant cousins. 90% of the family is fine, they love every dish I've ever made, but the 10% is convinced they are the best chefs in the family and will always have something snarky to say about my food. Keep in mind, my husband, son, and I travel from out of state (a solid 4 hour drive) and we stay with my grandpa, so I usually just have to bring everything (pots, pans, ingredients, etc) with me to cook. It's not easy to remember absolutely everything to bring so in my mind, I think they should at least appreciate that I'm willing to bring a dish at all.
The final straw was when I made homemade chocolate chip cookies about 3 days after a pretty painful surgery, rode in the car for 4 hours in excruciating pain, and my cousin said she could have just bought cookies at Walmart better than mine. (Impossible, because those cookies were ooey gooey delcious. Any chewier and they would have been raw) I decided I would never attend another holiday if she was hosting and skipped the past three years.
This year, we decided to have the dinner at our great aunt's house and the negative Nancy's weren't supposed to attend. So, we decided this year we would make an effort to go to Thanksgiving. Yesterday, we learned that they were in fact going to be there. I've already told my family I would come down a day early so I would have time to cook, but now I honestly don't even feel like attending or making an effort to cook just to be criticized. I just want to reiterate that the 4 of them only ever say anything about MY food, and I would like to clarify that every dish I've ever made has been eaten with no leftovers and complimented by the rest of the family. So, it's definitely not a "me" problem nor is it a problem with my food, as I have attended culinary school. It would be different if there was actually a problem with my food, I would absolutely admit it if there was, but there's not.
How would you handle this if they say something again this year? Usually I just ignore them, but this seems to just provoke their insults even more. "Then don't f****** eat it" just gets me attacked even more... I've tried.
I love seeing the rest of my family and don't want to just not attend, but I'm also tired of having to take their crap and no one else even attempting to speak up for me. Maybe their mouths are just too full of my food lol
TLDR: Crappy distant cousins I only see once a year criticize every dish I make even though I'm a better cook than them and it requires a lot of extra prep and effort on my part. How do I respond since ignoring them doesn't work?

2024.11.26 18:41 Warm_Concentrate5231 Gre score cancelled by my own mistake!
So i had been preparing for GRE by self, after a quick GMAT pivot. I gave my test recently and I clicked on Cancel Score because I didnt want to Report the score. I considered the CANCEL=CANCEL REPORTING SCORE. How am I supposed to know if I want to report the score ahead without knowing a tentative unofficial score. I cancelled it and yes, i punched the hammer on my head. There's a reinstate option for another 50 dollars, c'mon, and after paying this I don't get my score immediately as well. How is this so fair? GMAT has such a feasible UI and quick processing time. Why is GRE playing with us with all these score neediness. Why would I give the exam if i didnt want a score? The invigilators had no clue about what happened when i immediately reported it. Please tell me if I should challenge this with the ETS. My main objective is to get a score clarity early (official or unofficial) so that I can plan my next steps quickly, i have a deadline approaching v soon. Any tips and tricks to resolve the issue?

I might be wrong but it looks like 1 stars are the rarest cards you can get from wonderpick.
I hope they add the ability to get 2 stars as well just make it 5 stamina to roll on these

2024.11.26 18:41 Warlord_Duan_Qirui Ski recommendations for a second pair of skis
Hello all. I'm 178cm (5'10), 162lb and I'm looking and buying a new pair of all mountain/ free-ride skis that are stiffer and more reliable in getting through trees and deep snow. I've only skied in the Canadian Rockies. Currently I have a pair of 4 year old Line Honey badgers on centre mounted nx11 bindings that I've taken on basically all terrain, but mostly just park. I love how playful they are. Had a pair of junior k2 Shreditors before that but can't really comment on how they felt since it was so long ago.
I'm 20, stopped growing, and more money has opened up more options. I've looked into ON3P, faction, and J Skis so far but open to any recommendations. In the future I want to take them back-country but its not a deal breaker if I can't since renting is an option. Looking for something in the 100-108 underfoot range and can take outside of the park. I have a pair of full tilt boots if that matters. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I've been in Voc. Rehab— since 2018 or 2019. I received my summer stipend BAH about 1.5 months in. This fall semester started on August 28th and ends in two days, just before Thanksgiving 🦃. However, I haven't seen any payments yet, and there's nothing pending on VA.gov. Is anyone else in a similar situation?
I checked all my certifying documents, and for this fall semester, it was officially certified by my school after my counselor approved it too. I'm really frustrated because I don't know where my money is. This situation is really disappointing.

 | I need to talk about this little moment and the incredible acting by Luke in this scene. The first three caps are his reaction right after Pen tells him “You do not realize how much that meant to me… what you said to my mother.” In the splittest of seconds, we see so many emotions flit across this man’s face. First (pic 1) = Slight confusion as he tries to ascertain what is wrong. Second (pic 2) = Realization as she explains Three (pic 3) = Concern as he recognizes the hurt in Pen’s voice. And it all happens in just a SECOND! But it doesn’t stop there. Next, Pen tells him that “No one has ever stood up for me like that.” Take a look at pic 4 - he looks almost horrified at this revelation.  | So I adopted my handsome sugarface senior now named Santo Bruno from Muttville this weekend and he's my first little ever. I'm reading all the literature so I can better know the breed. He's 8 and he's an absolute gentleman. Muttville gave him a full medical and he only had some bad teeth which they extracted. His breath could peel paint off a wall though, so I'd like to know how you all deal with this. Drops? Water additives? Greenies? Brushing? Also as the proud new guardian of a chiweenie what am I in for? I want the good and the bad. I've been struggling for the past few years with keeping up with my hygiene. I had a huge mental break in 2021 which is what started it. I used to shower every day, brush my teeth x3 daily, keep myself groomed, washed my face every day and did regular skin care, even ate healthier and kept the house sparkling clean.
Now I can barely shower twice a week. I just went 3 days. I don't brush my teeth often, to the point I just had to get two teeth removed recently. I barely wear makeup anymore. I shave my legs once every two months. I only do skincare twice a week so I have regular breakouts. I eat like shit and have gained 25 lbs. Every dish in the house is dirty, the toilet has shit caked in it, and there are dust bunnies everywhere.
I don't know where to start getting out of this rut.

2024.11.26 18:41 ryzentzl Sticking to Squad Battles.
Have played since FIFA 20 (during quarantine times) and have played every game since. Suffice to say I rarely do get frustrated or angry at video games but this year, FC25 has been horrendously atrocious. Came back from college to enjoy a couple rounds of Rivals (Div 2) only to be met with kick off glitches, corners= penalties, bounces and of course, losing 4-1 while having 5.2 XG. I am officially done with the online aspects of the game, the delay, the lag (my 4080 can’t run this terribly optimised game). Rivals is horrible (and filled with the most down bad tryhard sweats). Champs is filled with a ton of questionable goals and griddys. The only thing I do is play rush and squad battles now. Thank you EA for ruining such a fun game.
