I am little confused, I have just started with iRacing and have done only these three races and at the end of the 3rd one I ranked up immediately, I thought you only ranked up at the end of the season or when your SR hit 4.0.
Other question is there a way to see the next season schedule so I can figure out if I want to to buy another one of the tracks coming up?

2024.11.27 00:40 Truman_Puppet What does “soon” mean?

Wife is slowly saying “l love you”, sending hearts in texts again, will let me hold her hand for a few minutes, will let me give her a hug and rub her back a little. Talks about reconciliation a little but keeps saying “soon”. As in “I feel like I will be all in soon.” What does that mean?
The last time she said it was just the other day (two days ago), previous to that it was 20 days ago.
I understand slow and steady wins the race. Consistency in talking and demonstrating the love and partnership, etc.
Just curious what this sub thinks that means or what I should do about it? I don’t want to ask or pressure her. I don’t want to come off as nagging.

2024.11.27 00:40 welcomeOhm MS-DOS Copying 5.25" Disks to 3.5"

I'm running my old programs in DOSBox and installing them with an external USB 3.5" drive. This is on Ubuntu 22.04.
My issue is that I have a few programs that only came with 5.25" disks: the two I'm wanting to copy from 5.25" to 3.5" are The Lost Treasures of Infocom Vol. II and a set of utilities from "Undocumented DOS" for system exploration.
Looking at Amazon and eBay didn't show any external 5.25" drives less than $150, and those used the old RS-232 serial connector. Given that, is there anyone on this subreddit who could copy these disks for me? I would send them to you along with a new pack of 3.5" disks and pay shipping both ways. Of course, if I'm missing out on a way to do it myself, that information would be great as well.

My wife likes to remind me that our animals are crepuscular, meaning that they’re most active around sun up and sun down. So we call it crepusculating when she chills out. Anyway, she got worn out from a day of runs and playing with her best bud. She was snoozing when I walked in, but she lifted the leg because she’s always down for a belly rub.

2024.11.27 00:40 Mysterious_Head9365 my mom got an automated text message for the exact bowls I searched for 10 mins earlier on my own phone…

I know that internet cookies are basically data for brands to advertise specific content to us but today something strange happened.
I was at home talking to my mom about a set of bowls I wanted and she suggested I look them up on Crate & Barrel which I found and then exited Safari to go do something else. About 15 mins later, my mom got an automated text alert from CB about THE EXACT SAME BOWLS.
She obviously has signed up for text alerts but how is it possible that she got an ad for something I searched on my own phone? I have also never visited the CB website or signed up for text alerts.
I’m assuming it was a sheer coincidence but that seems really odd to me especially since these bowls are just run-of-the-mill bowls. Nothing fancy or even relevant to the holiday season.
Do our phones really pick up on what we say and can that trigger targeted ads or am I just crazy?

A friend of mine created this detailed dog training series a couple of years ago and I feel like it doesn't get the love it deserves. She's a fully accredited dog trainer and built this course over several years in order to save new dog owners money.
