I just bought a subscription to Nord VPN and when I tried to open my riot client it would just keep saying no internet. I ended up having to restart my pc with the VPN off to launch the client to then load into league and then turn on the VPN it all worked is there a way to make it so I can just load in normally or is this a persistent issue I have to live with If I want to use a VPN?

I completed the Job Corps in-person Orientation in Georgia on November 22, 2024 and I plan on going to Job Corps for my High School Diploma and completing the CNA program. I am aspiring to be a Licensed Practical Nurse but I will complete that program outside of Job Corps as some of the research I have done makes me nervous of even going to Job Corps in the first place. In this post, I am looking for the following:
- Advice on day-to-day life in Job Corps, as well as how the Staff and fellow Students would treat me observing that I am a really nice guy and gets along with everyone but is a self-motivated person driven to succeed. - Advice on bringing my own laptop instead of using the Government-issued Chromebook, and security measures in place to lock up my laptop when not in use to prevent theft. or damage to property. - Confirmation on whether "Student Organizations" truly exist within Job Corps, and if so what types of Student Organizations exist and are available upon arrival. - Information from current or former Job Corps students on free-time activities that are provided by Job Corps when not completing academic studies or working the trade of our choice, i.e. "free time." - Advice on resources available at Job Corps for people to talk to for advice such as Counselors.
All I ask within this post is to please comment respectfully and with blunt honesty, even if the truth may be hard to hear. I need to know the ins and outs of Job Corps before I invest my time and energy to make this happen. Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you guys soon! <3

I’ve spotted a really nice Loro Piana super 160 black cloth. Thinking of getting a made to measure suit. It’s costing me just 1,650$. The shop here in Pakistan is well known… Actually, the owner has flown out to George Bush’s ranch a few times and stitched suits for him. There’s pictures and articles and everything. It was big news a few years ago. Is it worth it? I ask because, in my research, nobody seems to be getting MTM LP suits for less than 2,500$…. Or at least not really nice ones.

I was diagnosed with OSDD by a previous therapist and I wholly believe my alters are "real" as does my current therapist. However, while my previous therapist didn't focus too much on the causes of our fracturing, this therapist has brought to my attention that while trauma holders in the system likely remember the events that broke our inner child, nothing I recollect/have described would cause OSDD/DID. She mentioned that my parental relationship was the perfect breeding ground for my BPD, but there's likely additional abuse I don't remember that caused the OSDD. However, because I can't remember it, it feels like it can't be "real" and i must be "faking" my system. I almost want to remember the horrors just to prove to myself that my disordeexperiences make clinical sense, but my therapist has mentioned that it's probably better to be grateful I don't have to deal with those memories. How do I battle imposter syndrome and dissociative memory gaps?

Hello all!
I've been scouring pcpartpicker trying to build my first pc after my previous one finally kicked it. I've never personally built a pc before just upgraded parts here and there and wanted second opinions on my choices. This build is for gaming in 1440p at higher settings on average (STALKER 2 and Veilguard for example).
I'm not trying to go to far over 2500 USD so if you have any suggestions please try to keep it at most 2700.
I'm sadly not near a microcenter so everything will be ordered online.
I dont need any peripherals I have those covered. And I have 2 graphics cards in the build but the MSI 4070ti SUPER is out of stock so I replaced it with a Gigabyte 4080 SUPER Im a little hesitant of Gigabyte after the last time I got a card from them it died like a year in. Ive left the MSI in just as a reminder if it comes back before I buy everything unless someone says the Gigabyte SUPER is the right choice

Hi all,
I recently moved to Ireland and am on the lookout for a new air purifier. I have chronic hives and eczema that have flared since moving here. I also have asthma with a very severe dust mite allergy and a pet allergy and often have people who own pets visiting my home. When I lived in the US I had a coway purifier but can not find them for sale here. My apt is 45m2. Ideally want to stay under 500 USD!
