2024.11.27 02:20 ClayCoon I have a weird question involving button prompts for game development. Is it not possible to make the "select" button more useful? Is it even changeable?
Expanding on the title what I'm trying to say is when in game development and mapping button prompts for different things is it not possible to make the select button function as a completely separate pause menu in a sense? The reason why I'm even proposing asking this is because not only do I never see it changed any game do anything with the select button that's substantial. And I was wondering if there was a limitation to it somehow during the game development process that I'm not aware of or haven't hit yet? For example is it that whatever console is on doesn't let you do that with your game? I'm throwing stones with these questions I'm just confused to why the select button is never used as a separate menu or anything useful most of the time.

first of all. sorry for the long post.
i was so deeply in love with him, and still chasing him during our dead bedroom. but now that i'm detached, i can see the real person he is and i don't like it. i feel like i married someone completely different.
so after pulling the D word, he started doing shit he didn't do. love bombing and scheduling appointments. he got diagnosed and was given anxiety meds. suddenly he wanted sex all the time and bla bla you know how it goes. he even actually made me come on his own for the first time ever (sad) so i guess he's been studying.
but i'm still carrying the chores and all the parenting burden. my spine is splitting in half. yesterday we decided to try to upgrade our twins from cribs to toddler beds and it was hell. i slept 3h max. and i work full time. he never came in to help me until i asked. all i did was ask but he picked a fight in front of the kids. something i begged him not to do ever since i got pregnant.
we argue the next morning. he threatens suicide, again. so i said "i don't care". he back tracks and says he didn't mean it like that. it was just an expression. i kicked him out for the first time ever because i'm so tired. so tired of everything.
and now i'm wondering htf was he all over me, wanting sex again, but not making an actual effort to be a better man? i never knew he could be so.. manipulative and angry. it's impossible to discuss anything with him because he gets very upset and starts yelling and jumping. it's terrifying but maybe it's all in my head? idk if sticking around is worth it anymore

My 11 yo daughter has dyslexia, and we’ve had her in reading programs and she has made a ton of progress, but those are far from “fun”. I want to get her something that encourages her to read every day, but is fun and exciting.
She loves stardew valley and the Minecraft stories on our Xbox 360. But the one doesn’t require much reading, and the later reads for her.
I’m looking for game suggestions that are age appropriate for her, that requires a lot of reading to progress the game, but that doesn’t read for her.

Hi! I've been trying to recreate a guitar tone seen on this song, best heard between 0:08 - 0:26, although I can't seem to get it right... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64CndlJT2GM
The main thing I'd like to know if how to create the reverb-y and ambient feel of the guitar, since I already settled on a good core tone.
Some secondary info I have on this tone: Kelly Bailey, the guy behind the song, says he uses a Marshall amp to get his guitar tones: "For guitar I use my trusty Les Paul through a Marshall half-stack". That said, would the "1959 Input I Treble" or the "1959 Input I+II Body" Sneaky amp type setting suffice for replicating part of the sound?
Also, by opening my parametric eq on my DAW, I noticed there are lots of peaks that come from this tone, which in theory should be normal when you're playing in only 1 string but that's not what I'm searching, since the guitar tone I'm trying to replicate doesn't have that much peaks. How can I fix that?

Hi everyone, I'm really struggling to get doctors to take my symptoms seriously and hoping to get some insight from this community. I'm a 40-year-old male who was completely healthy until 3 months ago when all of these symptoms suddenly hit me like a truck.
Heart Rate/Circulation Issues:
- Tachycardia when standing (120-130 bpm) from a resting rate of 80-90s. It does partially improve after a minute, settling into the 100s which makes me think it isn't POTS but im not sure
- Bradycardia (50-60 bpm, sometimes dropping to 40s) when lying down or sleeping
- Arrhythmia when sitting - constant fluctuations between 70-90s
- Blood pooling in hands
- Tachycardia with even mild activity
- Constant feeling of blood being "stuck" in my head/upper body (like hanging upside down)
- Dizziness upon standing
- Pressure in upper body when sitting with feet up or reclining
- Low oxygen saturation - usually 93-94%, can improve to 96% with deep breathing but has dropped as low as 86% just sitting at rest
Because all the standard tests are coming back normal, every doctor I've seen is convinced it must be anxiety. None of them seem interested in investigating further or considering POTS/dysautonomia, despite anxiety not explaining the positional heart rate changes and circulation issues. Don't get me wrong, I will 1000% agree that I now have anxiety as well and that it undoubtedly makes things worse. But they are trying to put the cart before the horse here.
Has anyone here had similar experiences or symptoms? How did you finally get doctors to take you seriously and get proper testing? I'm feeling really discouraged and would appreciate any advice or support.
