2024.11.27 02:39 klink_sword "Convert Mesh" deletes entire body even when following tutorials
I'm a beginner with Fusion 360, When I tried to convert an STL file body, it deletes the entire body minus the eyes and some other faces. I followed some tutorials which all showed the same process, but maybe the body is just too complex, which is weird because I downloaded this model as-is.
I imported the model, then:
Prepare > Generate Face Groups, set Type = Accurate
Modify > Convert Mesh and set Operation = Parametric and Method = Prismatic, and then I get second pic.

Me and my dad have a super close relationship and I’d consider him my best friend. After coming home from work, I saw mom mom’s face bruised up and asked her what happened. I could tell she had been crying and she was drunk. She assured me nothing happened and obviously I knew that was a lie so I went up to my dad and got into his face and asked him if he hit her. He was quiet for 2 minutes and then admitted it. Mind you he’s drunk. I told my mom to go downstairs and she went with me. I noticed our plant with a ceramic vase was missing and asked her where it was. She said she smashed herself with it out of frustration (again obviously a lie).
For some context, my mom works 3 weeks and comes home for a day repeat. When she works, she doesn’t come home and stays there. Everytime she comes they argue but it never escalated to this point.
I don’t know what to do. My dad has never done something like this and my mom is a narcissists and she’s always starting arguments and my dad tends to ignore it or just leave the house when he’s annoyed and comes back after he’s cooled off. Maybe she pushed him too hard i don’t know, but again there’s no excuse. I feel lost. My dad and I were so close and I feel betrayed. My mom and I don’t have the closest relationship, but I can’t believe he’s done this. I need advice because this has never happened to me before

Looking to partner with a UX designer for long running work for my mobile app Stryde.
I launched in August of this year an app called Stryde (you can search it on iOS if curious - no plans for Android). The app lets you earn screentime based on your step count.
So far I've been running blind & I would assume everybody here has seen developers attempt graphic design work (it's not pretty).
What I'd be looking for is someone to partner with moving forward to pick up work as needed. Some major areas that would need done is:
- Design system (colors, fonts, corner radius's, all that fun stuff) - open to anything I don't even care - target audience is Women in 20's - mid 30's but about a 60/40 split between women / men
- Onboarding (it's bad - I tried I just don't have the graphic design eye)
- Main screens
- Home screen (user can see a snapshot of how much screentime they've earned vs used)
- Trophies (users earn trophies for accomplishing certain goals)
- timers & scheduling - users can set timers outside of screentime earned from steps or scheduling (not implemented yet) where user can set up their days ahead of time
- coming soon - boosts - users can set other goals outside of steps to earn extra screentime for the day (e.g. hit step goals, climb flights of stairs, spend time in sunlight etc)
- coming later - add friends to compete for step count
- would also need some app store screenshots generated once app design is updated sufficiently
Budget: 1000-10k over time. would expect to work on a per view / per flow basis. more interested in an ongoing partnership & not a one time full redesign
As an app developer trust me that I feel your cringe when I say this, but am also open to partnership with revenue share / ownership sharing if the app sounds like something you'd believe in & want to work together on. The hard part is done & the technical hurdles are out of the way.
The app is growing & made: $1.50 in August - $20 in September - $40 in October - $65 in November so far, & has some very exciting promotions / marketing coming up. Nearly doubling every month since launch, but I imagine without a good UX / UI design it'll be an uphill battle getting app store promotions / featured / etc.

every other year with the company this has been covered by lowes, as in work 4 nights, off 3 nights including the 8hrs holiday pay.
Assumedly, this would be the same with 4/10s. Work Sunday-tuesday, off wednesday for thanksgiving. OR work wednesday until midnight, also still lowe's paid 8hrs holiday.
We were just told we have to work friday if we want our full hours, and there will be no lowes holiday pay for us.
When did they take our thanksgiving pay away?

my dad just threatened to change our digital code lock on our front door so i can’t open it and not come back home just because i went to downtown with one of my friends to pick up a fucking package nothing fun, just an errand.
my bitchy mom jusr cant stop. everday she fucking curses at me for how i dress like girl????? i swear my whole fucking life shes basically controlled everything its frustrating.
this woman constantly threatens to turn off the wifi if i dont clean my room or literally do something as simple as not finishing my plate even if my stomach is basically hurting for how full i am.
shes torture, and evil in my eyes, my dad is worser im sure hes a corn addict and wants to cheat on my mom but cant for some reason.
they control literally everything i do every fucking thing the friends i have, the clothes i wear, the way i do my eyebrows its too the point my mom has taken my toothpaste and every fucking night i have to beg her to put toothpaste on my brush like a little kid (im 15 for context)
what do i do? i just cant stop living in this hell im literally depressed and suicidal its insane schools already worse that my fucking parents make it nonetheless worser.
any realistic advice? and yes ill run away when i turn 18 even tho my fucking mom says i cant until i get married to a big d man fuck me and my life i might overd**e tonight so thats fun yay.

Would this effect cancel out Jace, Wielder of Mysteries trigger and cause the Jace player to lose? Or would it result in continuing play with the Jace player just not drawing cards?
Thought about this after winning against an opponent who got that effect on lands using my draw deck (I exiled the lands with Teferi ult.)
