I loved playing MK1-5, and Subzero as a kid in the 90’s and early 2000s.
I recently picked up Mortal Kombat XL for $5. This is the first one I’ve played since Deadly Alliance (stopped playing games for 20 years). Gameplay is decent. I don’t love random pop culture references. I picked up MK 11 base game and the 1/2 the characters are hidden behind DLC. Same with Mortal Kombat 1.
So you have these amazing roster of characters and they pick Rambo and the T-800 from Terminator: Dark Fate (which bombed at the box office)? It just seems really… idk greedy?
Instead of Ghostface, have Sheeva or Goro, etc. idk. Maybe I’m too old for this but it seems rather greedy to lock 1/2 the characters behind dlc and then have those characters come from random ass movies. Mortal Kombat 1992 still holds up today. Mortal Kombat 1 is not going to hold up in 30 years with extremely dated pop culture references.

Hey everyone,
My first time posting in reddit, but just had a really frustrating race and thought it might be helpful to get more experienced runners' insights... I just ran the Philadelphia Marathon on Sunday, and I feel like I epically flubbed it. I was following a sub 3:45 plan (downloaded from runner's world), given that I ran it last year (got 4:13 and had a lot left in the tank) and since I'm not great with running tangents, I figured giving myself a half mile of wiggle room would give me more than enough time to get sub 4hrs- my actual goal. It wasn't too difficult to keep up with the plan- but it definitely wasn't easy either. I figured even if I didn't get sub 3:45, I'd get least hit somewhere in the 3:50s- but even without missing a workout or anything, and staying disciplined with sleep and nutrition, cross training, speed training, and weight lifting, I finished at 4:07. My hamstring and then calf started giving out somewhere around mile 18, and it just got uglier from there. Maybe relatedly, I'm a PhD student and unluckily had two out of three of my qualifying exams the Mon/Thurs before my marathon-- and in addition to training, have been cramming since Sept (at least 6 hours in the library just reading). I think my biggest questions are, how was I so off from my goal? Does mental stress really have that much of an impact on runners the week of a race? Is there something more or different I should have done? I'm just really demoralized and sort of shocked from being so far off from something I spent months obsessing over and thinking I'd be able to accomplish. Any tidbits or pieces of advice would be great 💙🙏🏽

Hello. I've been playing Borderlands Pre Sequel from Epic Store since they gave it free on my Rog Ally with the embedded controllers. Just fine. My user name checks out and I'm able to play online with my husband and son.
Most of the time I play my Rog Ally on the dock with my xbox controller. Today when I went to play the game, my username didn't appear on the corner, I wasn't able to log in to play online, and only the option to start new game was available, but the moment I pick a character it crashes and gives me a log saying FATAL ERROR.
I tried the same with my Gamesir Nova Lite/Bluetooth and it did the same. Fatal Error, not my username, new game only available and no online.
When I disconect the controllers and use the embedded ones it works fine. My username is there and continue from last save too, and can play online.
Is the game recognized the controllers as a secondary user or something?
Has anyone had this issue with borderlands games on epic store?

Okay guys, I finally bit the bullet after 4 years of having intermittent PVCs. I went to the ER. I noticed since Thursday they’ve been more frequent. Not worse in intensity, just more frequently happening.
First off, let me just say that my PVCs were not even detected on the heart monitor I was hooked up to. I think I got maybe 5-6 total, and I didn’t see a single one of them. I given two 12-lead EKGs, all that was detected in both was sinus tachycardia because I was extremely nervous. No other funny business going on with those, no weird electrical pathways that shouldn’t be there etc. Then I had blood work, it showed elevated D-dimer enzyme, so I had a chest X-ray and a cardiac angiography and CT to rule out clots. They also felt the need to ultrasound my legs to see if there were any clots. I’m over here like, I’m worried to death about an electrical issue and y’all are worried about a clog in the pipes?? I’m 23 btw. Anyways, all those tests checked out normal. I was discharged after like 4 hours. My diagnosis was “benign palpitations”.
For some reason I still feel anxious. What if they missed something? My WBC are elevated but they said nothing about that. They didn’t see a need for an echocardiogram, they thought the cardiac CT was good enough. They told me to follow up with my PCP about upping my anxiety med.
Should I just relax and accept that these PVCs are not going to kill me? Lol
