Long story short, I have an exam very soon but from earlier this week I had what seems to be like an allergic reaction to latex (those who know will know). I went to the doctors who advised that symptoms won't get better within a day and recommended that I rest and keep a close eye on my body for the next couple of days (I've never had an allergic reaction to latex before so I'll need to catch up with my doctor again).
I've never submitted a special consideration before but have read that the more details the better. At the same time, I'm not entirely sure whether its appropriate nor if anyone wants to read about what has caused this and what the symptoms are.
On the medical certificate my GP has written "unwell for the next x amount of days" without specifying the reason or noting my symptoms. This is because the doctor has suspected it may be an allergic reaction and I'll need to wait until this weekend for a proper diagnosis and treatment.
I genuinely do not know how to present this matter to the special considerations team and any advice/help would be greatly appreciated.

2024.11.27 04:46 junior_mafioso Two cameras missing events in same area
I have the e340 doorbell and s330 camera (with HB3) on my front porch. Part of the reason I have the camera as well is because the doorbell can’t see everything and I have another set of doors on the porch. For some reason, many times it seems like someone can walk up on my porch and deliver a package and I don’t get any recorded videos on either the doorbell or the camera. All of a sudden I just have a package that is on my porch. The weird part is, sometimes I am getting a notification that something was delivered or someone is on my porch but then when I click on the video it errors out and seems to delete the video. I just find it super odd that I have two cameras pointed at the same spot and both miss the event. Seems like it happens too often, but then other times it seems to work as it should. I don’t have any activity zones set up and the sensitivity is maxed out on both. Seems like a huge hole if this ever happens when something actually important occurs. The only thing I could think of is that maybe it’s causing an error b/c both cameras are trying to record at the exact same time. Anyone aware of what could be causing this?

2024.11.27 04:46 Hyperjaco2 My stuff keeps getting stolen from a camera Gap. Am I Wrong?
So for two months i have had shit stolen from me at work off the coat rack. Just happens this coat rack is conviently placed outside camera view. Literally caught this girl taking my shit out of my pocket... but since no proof I'm deemed 'crazy'. "He said she said" situation 🙄
So I placed my stuff elsewhere within camera view; but then people wuld move my bag/coat to the 'official coat rack'. Can't blame someone that moves shit to its designated spot. Everytime my stuff was missing it was "r u sure Jacob? U take ur meds?" My bag has been cleaned by these chicks tho I swear..
I was being blamed to not leave stuff on the out-of-cam Coat Rack, even when my stuff is moved to it cuz it belongs there. Management refuses to move that rack; I've lost $200 worth of shit this point idk where to go from here...

Hello people, as the title states I'm struggling with my editing process for wedding photography. I have been doing wedding photography for many years now, but recently I have stopped advertising myself due to the lack of motivation to edit and cull. Culling and editing is my worst part of a wedding. The main reason for this, is because I have never really had a good consistent process for my editing. I suffer quite bad with ADHD.
I would like to know about other people's process for Lightroom. Do you build a new catalog for every single wedding. My process for this is creating a whole new catalog for each wedding individually, I like this option as it helps me stay organised.
What previews do you use and what smart previews? I have found that sometimes when in library mode, that my images sometimes take a couple of seconds to load up. I would like this to be instant.
Do you edit from an external SSD?
What is your process for backing up a wedding, before and post editing? I usually keep everything, this was a bad idea as I've got millions of RAW's sitting there that will never be used. This I want to change. So my process for culling, I start with 1 starring images, then I go back through and edit my 1 stars, edited images go to a 2 star and images that need to be transfered to photoshop for more work, I will star these a 3. I star a 4 for ready for export. In the future I'm thinking about selecting all my unstarred images and deleting them from lightroom and disk. Is this something others do?
As for editing I tend to edit one photo from a certain area/lighting, then I'll copy the settings and select all the images from the same area or similar lighting and I will paste the settings over to them images and so on.
I have seen a software online called Aftershoot, is this software any good? I can't imagine it to be good, I would be scared it would remove images I like or to just not work as well as I need. It's quite an expensive service. I don't want to waste money on software I don't need.
I export all images at the highest JPEG quality at 300dpi.
I would like some people to sharing their organisation process for storing all your files, backing them up and where you keep them while editing?
Finally, is there any settings or preferences that anyone would recommend me changing or even trying out. I want to make my lightroom experience smoother and better.
