I'm a huge fan of energy drinks, and my friends/family.co-workers often call me the go-to person for knowing the latest flavors and ingredients. Recently, I’ve been thinking about creating my own energy drink with a unique twist: a stim-free option that still delivers great taste and functionality.
Why: I love all the brands: Monster, C4, Bucked Up, Reign, Red Bull, Gorilla Mind—you name it! However, as I grow older and more mindful, I’ve realized that 300-400mg of caffeine daily isn’t the best for me long-term. Still, I stick with these drinks for their sugar-free options and the variety they bring to my diet. As a bodybuilder, my meals are pretty routine (basically the same thing every day), so protein powder flavors and zero-calorie energy drinks are the little highlights of my day that I get to mix up. I’m obsessed with new flavor drops, new blends, loving a new brand, or totally hating one—it’s such a fun space to be in!
Here’s the vision I’m working on:
- Stim-Free Formula: For people who love energy drinks but want to avoid caffeine or other stimulants.
- Unique Branding: The drink would feature raised labels with a (not ready to release that info yet, but I am pretty excited about it) that changes color corresponding with the flavor.
- Target Audience: Gym-goers, bodybuilders, and fitness enthusiasts who need clean energy alternatives.
- Versatile Appeal: While I plan to start in gyms and the athletic world, the product is designed for everyone—whether you're working out, studying, gaming, working or simply on the go.
- Local Focus to Start: I plan to launch through local gyms/ nutrition stores/ convenience stores and grow organically. I also am working on growing my audience on my social media to have more eyes upon launch.
Here are a few questions I’d love your input on:
- What draws you to a particular energy drink? Is it the flavor, branding, ingredients, or something else?
- Have you tried any stim-free energy drinks? If so, what did you like or dislike about them?
- How important is branding to you? Would a drink with unique, tactile designs (similar to how Monster zero calories have a texture, I believe Ghost cans do this as well) catch your attention?
- What gaps do you see in the current energy drink market? Are there needs or desires that aren’t being met?
- Where do you typically buy energy drinks? Do you stick to nutrition stores, convenience shops (gas stations included), gyms, online stores, or other places?

This is pretty long so there's a TLDR. I just want to to give you all the info I can because I'm not sure what to do.
I am unsure what I can do to address this issue. We go to the dog park every day for exercise, sometimes twice a day. My two dogs love it. They have friends and get very excited to go there. They love to rush the gate when new dogs enter which I am working on training them not to do so the new dogs have room to enter.
We took a road trip with the dogs and they met my in law's dog. The three dogs did not get along and had to be separated. This has never happened before but it seemed to be a dominance issue as my dominant dog Chip was trying to hump the new dog and vice versa.
We came home and went back to our dog park. They started barking at the gate which we added to our training plan about rushing the gate. (Basically if they bark or stand in the way they are removed and must walk to the back of the park on leash, if they calmly wait for the new dog to enter without rushing or barking they 1. Get to greet new dog right away and 2. Get a treat.)
One day a husky and pitbull got into a fight at the park. There were injuries to an owner and the pitbull, police were called. My dogs rushed over to the fight and barked at the two fighting dogs. They were lunging in and seemed to want to be involved.
Now when we got to the park 80% of the time there is no issue. They play and explore interacting with all dogs, all breeds, all sizes in a friendly manor. But at least once a week one of the two will seemingly at random choose a dog and antagonize it. The second dog will of course back up his brother and they will bark at the target dog. If removed they find their way back and continue the assult until the dog inevitablely snarls and then they with rush forward lunging at it. They have not bitten any dogs but I am always watching closely and intervene as soon as I see them doing this. I think if I did not they would bite or certainly get bit.
There is no pattern, its sometimes in the morning sometimes afternoon or night. Sometimes a big dog, sometimes small. Some of the dogs are dogs they've met and played with before while other target dogs are strangers. They have even met a dog they preciously went after and had zero issue. The only pattern I can pick up on is the gate. If a dog comes in with no barks that is never the target dog. Its always a dog they barked at while they came in. The barking is usually more aggressive than their usual excited bark and thats when I know to keep a closer eye. Still not every dog that gets an aggressive greeting gets antagonized.
I want to keep taking them to the park but this behavior is not acceptable.
Does anyone see anything I dont, that might help me encourage friendly interactions?
My husband says maybe we go so often they view the park as their territory and need to defend it so I should go to a different dog park to see if the behavior continues. I will try but since its so random it doesnt seem like a territory defense issue especially since theres 15 dogs at the park and they pick one that for some reason they can't get along with.
TLDR: 80% of dog park visits are peaceful 20% of the time they choose a dog at random and harrass it, barking snarling and lunging egging on a fight. The antagonistic dogs are all different breeds and sizes and dont remain consistent. A dog they went after last week is fine this week and a dog they played with last week is targeted this week. Time of day also random. Any advice?
